1. it is a big game for Holt a good performance today could be the difference. Fingers crossed it is a big win a hat trick for holt would make my week and hopefully get him the headlines and on the plane!
2. injured to much to offer the big bucks good defender but cannot base season around him being fit.
3. I agree Villa normally would be a logical move but if you dont have 30£ million to sort out the team its a no go. If the owner of Villa agrees to spend this or more then I can see lambert going. However there is no point going to Villa and not having money to spend as you will just have problems with the existing squad and then get sacked
4. yep all good Your not going to out pace or pass Arsenal (normally) Nor are you going to be bullied so playing lappin and martin who are intelligent hard working players is paying handsome dividends in this match. Excellent display thus far keep it up!
5.
Ref bottled Russ Martin''s penalty shout.....now, if it had been the Ar$es shout......
Get the ref to look at that at half time need that mistake in the back of his head during the next 45
6. he is doing so well as are the team the better the opposition the better he is. God help Spain lol
7.

Good goal but is it me do we concede one like that every other game same position etc
No it''s not you because we do
Its like fifa on the ps2 where you find the place where it always goes in
8. Good goal but is it me do we concede one like that every other game same position etc
9. Its just crazy really I always hear this he will never beat Puyol/Kompany add list of world class centrebacks. NITHER WILL THE OTHERS! Thats why we (England) are not very good we dont have any world class strikers apart from Rooney. If your not as good fundamentally as the others you have to take your chances when they come few and far between......oops thats Holt top again. England is in the same position as Norwich in the Premier league we on paper are not a top side we have to outfight, outthink to have any chance. Holt is not the second coming of Batistuta but he is better than the others the stats dont lie. Crouch also needs to go as he has a good record for England, with Welbeck injured surely holt is going to have a run in the friendlies?
10. Highest English goalscorer not banned for 2 games at the start of the tournament. Highest shot accuracy/conversion according the the stats. Statistically if you need a guy to grab you a chance when he gets it... its holt (if that man is an englishman) Has to go otherwise England is a "club" and not a representation of best players. I see Wellbeck injured for a few weeks running out of excuses now. If Carroll goes I will be livid its almost spitting on Norwich
11. Almost forgot he got fulham into the europa league final. Good in cups also
12. Good appointment. Why spend 10 million £ on a manager with no international experience? If you where hiring the manager I think after consideration you would give Roy the job also. very good spells with blackburn and fulham and excellent performances with various international teams. Dont forget at one stage the swiss where the 3rd best rated international team under his tenure. Also manager of Inter milan and came back again got to the UEFA cup final etc etc. Speaks 5 languages and is the few current English manager with international technical repute. I dont understand the disappointment of some look at the CV''s its no competition throw the factor of massive compensation and you have your man right there. England are a poor side at the moment only Rooney is world class and Gerrard on his day we are more of a West brom in international terms at the moment so I hope some dont delude themselves that the only thing holding us back is old Arry motivating the lads. England is a large FA and should always have an English manager ALWAYs its embarrassing to have a foreign coach for us and should never happen, Its he problem of the premier league that we somehow have something against our own.
13. +1 I think he has done ok also but then again he does not have the pace to play in the premier so really he has overachieved. One of those players that are very good for any champ side but not quite good enough to hold it out against the big boys. But then again who can we afford that can do that?
14. Yes it will the promotions in succession where/are amazing As much as i have enjoyed this season its strange to be in a competition where we have absolutely no chance of winning at all even before we kick a ball. I enjoyed the unpredictability of the Championship though obviously the money and the fame make the Premier the place to be. Its a league within a league as they say. Here is hoping the money drains out of football a bit and we can have a financial fair play policy in the Prem which will suit teams like us and make for an even more competitive league.
15. If we stick to our ethos which seems to be that the best way to compete is to build the Championship/league 1 dream team under 25, then I really doubt we will buy any players from the relegated clubs unless they are young players a la Davis at Wolves. This is a logical strategy as it balances the highest possibility of creating player value, dressing room harmony, winning mentality and track record if we go down. Just need to try and get/make our own a pacy international quality striker on the cheap if we can which may mean a trip abroad which makes it all the more risky/unlikely.
16. Fantastic performance. I do not think there is a lower cost per point won team in the in premier league than us. I was sad yesterday but I was thinking this poor finish is possibly a good thing to see what needs work before next season. Now the excitement starts who are we going to get in who is going to leave.....and will we keep hold of our manager.
17. He might very well look good and down the line be good I am not "judging him" he is injured a lot and his place in the team as the "paceman" is too important to be left just for him. Also no goals as yet so he has to be in the unproven category thus far on what I have seen and I would not want to bet our survival next season on him.
18. The job has been done but lets be honest we have been on the slide for a while now and if this form had started a month before we might be looking at going down. We have dont the job well this season but the positive is thus...we are not as good as we thought we are we are beatable and we need new players even if its to stay the same standard. The best defence I saw for us was Naughton (not here next season?), Ayala, Whitbread (maybe not here next season and Tierny (hardly played). This is a big worry I note we have a big problem with pace at the back when these guys dont play. Up front Hollt is good for another season surely but Morrison is off the boil and Vaughn does not look like a world beater to me. Where is our plan B? All over the pitch we need an injection of pace period. We need this investment just to stay where we are as i feel we have over achieved and maybe our last few results are more of an indication of what the following season might hold if we dont progress.
19. Very interesting Good to see that Holt is joint most effective finisher with Bent and a percentage point better than Rooney in that department. I like the use of stats and I found the film Moneyball fascinating. Just like Norwich Oaklands baseball team where in an unfair game and where comparatively poor. By concentrating on the pure stats they where able to build a "effective" team which was better than one built with players of the right background/good movers etc. I think we very much have this issue with England where we like the look of people and we dont build a team to be effective whilst others do. Great articles there what a beast Rodwell is 83% tackle success rate and 232 minutes till loss of possession and a pass rate near 90%. Looks like a perfect dm shame he has that hamstring issue for the Euros.
20. If it was private then it should have been marked as so. His civil offence was taking the image and posting it to social media the same as sharing any other image on the clubs website. I have not seen the image in question was it watermarked/and or clearly marked as not for public eyes as you would get with documents or a pre release video? If its in the public folders of the website and not encrypted/password protected then its publicly view-able and covered by the notice on the footer of the site. ergo Civil Matter money made vs loss incurred + possible compensation - damage to clubs reputation - cost- possibility of getting any money = no go pr department advice = play the bigger man and put to bed...... plan A except it was plan B
21.
http://www.pinkun.com/home/update_police_confirm_norwich_city_kit_leak_case_to_be_resolved_through_face_to_face_meeting_1_1353333 Club and not police now going to resolve matter with a face to face meeting.
Translation Not a matter for police at all as per the law of the land Damage limitation Since there have been alleged/implied legal threats police action I would make sure my son had a solicitor present since there is no point sending 17 year old''s in with company directors.
22.
I can see some value in both sides of the coin tbh.To give an alternative view of what''s happened (based on the limited info available), imagine you walk into a shop, the shop assistant walks away to get something but happens to leave the till open, at which point one of the customers swipes the cash and leaves. It''s clear that the assistants at fault for leaving the till open (here where the IT team haven''t protected the info correctly and allowed access), but it''s also clear that the customer who stole the money has committed a crime here as well.Just because the cash (info) was available to be taken, doesn''t make it right that it has been, and has since been used to buy things (pass the information onto others).Whilst in this situation it''s difficult to clarify the value of the data that was then distributed, it''s obvious that it wasn''t meant to be (if indeed a variable was clearly set to be hidden and has been ''unhidden'' by someone), and this is clearly what the club has pounced on.I think we''d potentially view the whole thing differently if instead of a new kit photo being taken, it was confidential info about a player etc.Yes the club has to accept responsibility for their poor security here, but that still doesn''t justify the actions taken by the young lad.I''m of the opinion that something along the lines of a caution from the police (and the club), is enough in this instance, and that steps be clearly taken to prevent this from being able to happen again. Action does need to be taken, but things like jail time, community services or lifetime club bans would be very harsh in reality.
Its not quite the same as that as its a clear case of copy right rather than theft of cash which is a criminal offence. In your example someone removed another persons property from their legal physical location. He did not seek to profit It was a public area in the public folder of the site not encrypted civil action did you make any money x ...... no did you loose money y ...... maybe guys 17 apology end of "Action does need to be taken, but things like jail time, community services or lifetime club bans would be very harsh in reality." And not likely as the UK is a civilized country where people don''t go to jail for sharing a publicly available image on social media at the whim of medium sized entertainment companies. I am not solicitor but having sued a few people in my time I am pretty sure threatening a minor with baseless police action is a crime as is calling him a thief or criminal.
23.

Hacking is a serious offence, however there are mitigating circumstances in that the website made itself easy to be hacked and was thus negligent IMO. I agree that the damage here is minimal but this kind of behaviour should be nipped in the bud early before more serious offences are committed if potential future offenders see there is no deterrent.
He hasn''t hacked, he''s just viewed the files that were already there. If he hasn''t fraudulently cracked the security I can''t see if a proper crime has been committed.
Well, it depends on the full details of the alleged ''crime'' but as I understand it there was theft of data, which I believe can come under the ''hacking'' heading, depending on how it was achieved.
How was their theft of data?[:^)]
The code etc that the chap took a copy of is data and may well have a copyright tag on it. Having worked in a software house I know this is common practice. Taking it and then using/modifying it for his own use is thus theft of copyrighted data.
This is right but also you have to counter that with the fact it was in the public domain so the issue is copyright rather than hacking/unauthorized access. *************************************************** On the site it has the following All materials on this website © Norwich City Football Club & FLPTV Ltd. Photographs courtesy of Empics, Action Images, Roger Harris and Aaron Murrell. CEOP - Report Abuse ************************************************ If the information was not encrypted/on the private folders and or network then really its like any squad photo or icon on the website. Therefore this is a civil matter as nicely put by the BBC. "Copyright infringement is only a criminal offence if someone makes money from it or causes the copyright owner serious damage. If that is not the case, it would be up to the club to take action - not the police." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-17767236 Even posting those words there are a form of infringement but since i am not making any money from it and buzz/talk/referencing is good for the content generator .... normally no problem if the bbc dont like it they will ask the forum staff to remove it as they do with other images/links to games etc. In my role (and as someone who gets a lot of photos used without permission) I would issue a take down request to the individual and hosting provider and get it down asap. The problem with this scenario is that the club feel that this is sensitive commercial information but then you have to measure the size of their alleged security cock up against the use of the image and amounts of money the other party have made/you have lost using the image......which is probably very low. However this is a concern for the solicitors not the police and frankly its bad PR a) nobody likes to see companies gang up on kids b) nobody likes companies covering up their failings by throwing their weight about c) football "clubs" are businesses masked as community institutions....don''t break this image in public d) You might get real hackers and when they come to defend this lad your toast expect downtime. Has this lad been named has he been threatened with police action? Was he named? has he suffered loss being branded a criminal does he feel harassed? Was he harassed by the club calling him? All a can of worms the club does not need and I will be disgusted if they push it further. Personally if they ban/sue this kid they will loose more money from him never going to games again than they would ever gain.
24.
By doing exactly what we did this season! Buying young and hungry decent lower League players + maybe a couple of guys with Prem experience, all of whom would be grateful for the chance to play for Norwich and who won''t unpset the applecart! While doing this get rid of the likes of Francomb, Chris Martin, Lappin, Dawkin, Crofts and possibly Wilbraham.
+1 Brining in players with a winning mentality with resale value is the best of both worlds as it covers you if you get down. I dont really think there is a second season syndrome just that if a team does really well in their first season normally their star player(s) go and they spend the money on "experienced" replacements which = fringe/passed it/mercenary players which drag the club down and cause disharmony. Faith in football is the hardest quality sometimes but keeping your faith in your method is sometimes a better long term strategy than trying to keep up with the football joneses.
25. was never a 6-1 game just a bit of flat track bullying at the end. Tevez should never have got that header it looked weak defending/lucky. Can can see why Man City are not champions they have awesome expensive players upfront but can be got at and to be fair we should have scored a couple more also. Disappointing but this Manchester City side should win all their games by this margin as they spent so so much 400 million compared to 9/10 million.
