I was at the game Mark and I can only remember one decent shot that the keeper had to save (from Snodgrass) and that was so far out it didn''t really trouble him. Where they get 20 plus shots from is beyond me. One on target plus the goal.

Nice read as always Ricardo. For me Bennett was easily MOM, even before his goal. He didn''t miss a thing the whole match and seems the only one willing to run into a space in front of him instead of passing sideways (Seb). Hoops showed some lovely touches and link up play as usual. Jonas seemed very quiet for the first 15-20 mins, as if he was sussing everyone out, and then grew into the game and was, I thought, superb. Very solid on the ball and didn''t give it away. Olsson and Martin both very good and Jonno his usual unpredictable self, often superb and equally often woeful. The fact that Ruddy could have brought an armchair into the 6 yard box shows how poor Hull were so it is worrying that we still cannot put teams like this away a whole lot earlier. I did, along with a large percentage of the crowd by the sound of it, think that the game was tailor made for Wes, in the hole behind Hoops, in place of Ricky whose confidence seems shot.
Bennett always plays well when he has got nobody to mark.
Oh, so who did he win EVERY header against today, nobody?

Is RVW our worst ever signing
Scooby replied to Simple Jack's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He was never given that guilt edge chance, but can''t fault the lad for work rate. Still need to be creating more chances for him and Hooper... And I don''t mean the scuffles in the box!
Huh??? You mean apart from the ''gilt'' edged chance he fluffed on the edge of the 6 yard box with no one within 3 yards of him chance, that they repeatedly showed in the bar at half time because no one could believe he missed it chance? Not even that one Birchy???? -

Seriously Ginge, were you at the game? If so you MUST have fallen asleep. Becchio did more in the few minutes he was on the pitch than RvW did the whole time he was on. from my lovely little perch in the upper B we were watching the runs, or rather lack of, of RvW and Hoops, and believe me we get a good view. RvW was practically stationary every time we had the ball !! Hoops was better but when Becchio came on, what a difference. Inside, outside, left, right, as if it was a matter of utmost urgency that he lose his marker, which, in case you didn''t know IS EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE!! Becchio to start with Hoops against Newcastle please. -
Simmo, I''m 100% behind you on this. How often do we do it? Either we''re the unluckiest team in the league to keep losing the toss or someone doesn''t have a clue.

I agree with you Mark (Dubai) how people see the game differently. Bennett was immense today, didn''t miss a thing (before the corner came across at the end I commented to my mate that it would be great for him to round of a MOM performance with a goal!! ;-) ) Olsson was very good and Martin solid, but Bassong? Pleeeeease!! I am a huge fan but yet again the weak link. Yes he made a few timely challenges but the number of times he gave the ball straight to the opposition?? He needs to lose the burden of captaincy. Surely this must be the reason his game has deteriorated so badly this year. When Turner is fit it had better not be Bennett that makes way.

Yes, simples.

. For those mocking him, I won''t labour the points that at times he singlehandedly took us up the leagues but will reflect that if he is struggling now that is partly due to the battering he took in a Norwich shirt. Like Hucks, he was kicked, elbowed and knocked around and that takes a toll on even a very fit strong man.
Don''t think many are mocking him, Cambs . Certainly not me (though to say he got us out of Lge One singlehandedly is pushing it a bit)But, I am gently mocking those who , as recently as 7 months ago were suggesting the heavens would fall in if GH left us.And, in a parallel to today''s debate, I feel the same about those who are suggesting Hoolahan is irreplaceable.
But has anyone scored any goals since he left??

3 points from 10th position now
Scooby replied to mrs miggins's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We''ve been 3 points from 10th place since before Christmas and still haven''t managed it. More worrying is the fact that we are 3 points from the bottom 3 now. -
Or how about not singing it at all ?
Well "Bah Humbug" to you too Nexus!

How Has Hughton Turned Norwich Around?
Scooby replied to nutty nigel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
For me the one thing he needs to "turn around" at the moment is Seb Bassong. It''s clear to everyone that he is not the player he was last season, and yes, there may be mitigating circumstances, but if CH can just get the captain back to his best I believe we can be top half. As long as Seb, and the defence in general, keep gifting the opposition goals like on Saturday, then no amount of tactical know how or improving strike force is going to save us. -
What business is it of yours?? ;-)
-
Did anyone notice that the reason that we were less of an attacking theat in the second half was because Hughton moved Redmond back to the bloody left wing !! Beggars belief. Why, why, why, why can the bloody manager, who is supposed to be the expert, not see what everyone else can?!!!
Definitely not a 4-3-3, it was a midfield 4 with Wes and Redmond switching flanks. My man of the match was Howson.
Seriously ????
