1.
As I thought and feared, you''ve no solution have you Scooby?.[:|]
The solution is to give Roeder the backing he deserves. He''s brought us here and we have no reason to doubt that he''ll find the remaining points necessary to make us safe from relegation. You can''t offer any good reason why we won''t pick those points up other than "because he might play Kieran Gibbs", can you?
 2. I think it''s time you wake up and take a bite of the reality sandwich. One player does not determine a result, and playing Gibbs is not the difference between playing well and playing poorly at Watford tomorrow. To suggest so is just so ludicrous it''s absurd. But then that''s all you offer, absurdities designed to provoke reaction like I''m doing now. In a way, I should really grow up and stop feeding the troll. But while I am, nice to see you''ve flip flopped again to criticising the manager. Not that I''m surprised. You can never keep an opinion for longer than a few weeks, can you?
 3. Hi Paul, Ched has scored some very important (and spectacular!) goals for us and without a doubt his loan here has been a great success. His work ethic is top notch - he wins headers against defenders much taller than him regularly - and his movement and positioning is excellent. His right foot has a huge amount of power and his finishing is normally excellent. He needs to learn to be less selfish, though, sometimes he''ll dribble for too long rather than make a pass to someone with better options than him. Also if he''s to really succeed in the Premiership he could do with bulking up a bit too. He can be pushed off the ball a bit too easily on occasion. Otherwise we''re really chuffed to have him here. I can''t see him being Premiership-class for a few years to come yet, so I hope Sven will consider letting him stay here for a season or two longer. He''ll get regular first team football here and I think that would do him the world of good.
 4. Didn''t say an ex-Norwich player, if you want to be pedantic.
 5. Scott: Not sure what game you were watching. For me, Gibbs played a solid if unspectacular match. His range of passing was impressive, movement good and positioning excellent. He needs to do a bit more for me defensively and stick his foot in a bit more, especially in this league, but I think the heavy level of criticism you give him is both unwarranted and unnecessary. Going back on topic, I thought Pearce was excellent yesterday for all the reasons mentioned above. But equally the saying about swallows and summers is right. Let''s not build him up too much.
 6. My team would be; Marshall Semi  Doc  Shack  Bertrand Croft  Fozzy  Russell  Gibbs Ched  Dion Subs: Gilks, Bates, Hucks, Martin, Pearce
 7. I based that list on my own experiences of players who play against us. Simonsen has always impressed me whenever he''s come to Carrow Road. Murray I''ve not seen enough to judge. Fuller again has impressed whenever I''ve seen him.
 8. Ok; following those same rules, here''s mine. Please note they''re not in any order. 1. Michael Kightly - Wolves 2. Chris Brunt - WBA 3. Joe Ledley - Cardiff 4. Jonathan Walters - Scum 5. Akos Buzsaky - QPR 6. Ben Watson - Palace 7. Ricardo Fuller - Stoke 8. Chris Iwelumo - Charlton 9. Steve Simonsen - Stoke 10. Andrew Surman - Southampton
 9.
must be good then, i remember mclaren highly rated the england squad before the croatia game i wont say no more except from he isnt called the wolly with a brolly for no reason
And you''ve seen him how many times? Seriously, you are the most condascending person on this forum; and considering who Wolves have just signed, I think you''re hardly in a position to talk.
 10.

Sorry, but what??  I like Glen, he has done well, but its early stages, worthy got us in the Premier League, and was manager during the time the Jarrold and the infill got constructed.  I know he went on for too long, but I don''t think we would be anywhere near where we are now if it wasnt for Worthy.  O''Neill was great, but not here for very long, and we didnt get promoted under him, and beat Man U and Newcastle under him!!
Errrrm.......now where do I begin? Give up. Don''t have the time. OTBC
Gissing is right. You''re wrong. Nigel Worthington remains the best manager this club has had for years; how can you even think otherwise? His achievements are outstanding - a Championship title, a play off final defeat and within one win of staying in the Premiership. What did O''Neill ever do for us? He jumped ship at the first sign of trouble. He didn''t accomplish half of what Worthington did nor stayed even a quarter of Worthington''s eventual tenure. Don''t let two very poor seasons cloud your judgement over what was the most successful period this club has had in a very, very long time. It shows how narrow minded and illogical you are.
 11.

its not down to roeder.. its down to money.. money which we havent got.. there is no transfer budget.. we spent it all on Matthew Pattison jas :)
What is really sad is that you actually believe that, don''t you?
yes, wheres the signings to prove otherwise? jas :)
That''s incredibly naive and short sighted. Then, I''d expect that from you. Your posts are without fault, presumptive, ill thought and without basis. Whats to say that we simply don''t want to spend money on players that are available? Take a look around the Championship sides and you see very average players going for vast amounts - Chris Brown to Preston for £400k is a perfect example. I want to see new signings, but not at rip off prices. I''d rather keep what money we have for the summer than spend it all on one over priced player; and I think any reasonable fan would agree. But then, you''re not that reasonable, are you jas?
 12.
comes on back of news on www.teamtalk.com saying cahill is going to bolton for 5m obviously birmingham missed out on him, causing the chain reaction
Looks that way, doesn''t it? It''s a big shame if we do miss out on him, but a striker is far more important. We need a goalscorer more than we need a defender.
 13.
Watch out. Eyes peeled. Gird your loins. OTBC
Frankly, I think the points you make on this forum are ridiculous. Of course we''re not moving to "another Windass moment"; why? Because regardless of what you may think of our board, they will have been honest with Roeder and stipulated the money that would be available. Your arguments and insistence otherwise is naieve and ridiculous.
 14. Why does a lack of signings mean we''re broke? It might just mean the targets Roeder has in mind are simply unavailable (Martin Taylor) or are too expensive in light of the January price-hike. I know we need players; but we need good players and not tosh like Granty brought in. Roeder is obviously very keen to do that, and I for one am more comfortable with him taking his time than throwing away our money.
 15. Gary, "the Doc" Doherty. You won''t laugh when next season he scores the winning goal in the play off final! :)
 16.
Lol - it''s a message board -if I''m wasting your time don''t keep responding! I can''t abide these posts with non-sensical rumours and I simply won''t buy into them or grace them with a response.    He''s not going to West Brom he''s joining us (tomorrow).
I heard it''s still conditional on Brum signing another defender. I''ve also heard they''ll let Taylor go regardless of them signing another defender if we meet their £1mil price tag; which we''re not prepared to pay. It''s also why the West Brom story materialised today. It''s Birmingham''s attempt to force us to pay the full price.
 17. Colchester, Scunthorpe and Preston, IMO.
 18.
Sunny was a starter for the Spain U20 world cup team this year and has started three times and made two substitute apperances for Valencia this season. It would be nice, but I seriously doubt he is coming here.
Because of five appearances? Out of how many? Must be quite a lot by now.Seriously, if Valencia rate this lad as highly as we''re led to believe then there''s no reason why they wouldn''t want him our playing week in, week out. It''s obvious to anyone that the best way to develop a player is by playing competitive matches in the sortof atmosphere that Carrow Road can provide.
 19.
do u really, honestly, Seriously, Seriously Believe that?  wages wont come into contention then? if we offer him less money in wages than QPR for example he''ll turn them down... Realistically...  His comments were a veiled "come and get me" plea to all other clubs.... Obviously he is going to say he wanted to play for us when he was on loan here wasnt he?   jas :)
Can you prove he doesn''t, Jas? I personally think Taylor enjoyed his time here immensly - and it''s happened before where players have ignored bids from others to join us here. Usually it''s players with young families who appreciate the cit of Norwich. Something which would describe Martin Taylor completely. We already know Taylor turned QPR down. Do you honestly think with their mega bucks owners they didn''t offer him more than we could? I think it''s you who''s not being realistic. As for his comments being a veiled "come and get me" plea to all other clubs, do you really think he''s going to say "Come and get me, but only if you''re Norwich" to the press? Get real!Honestly, some people need to stop in their blind criticism of everything to do with this club and actually adopt an open minded attitude. I''m not suggesting we start seeing things with roses, merely to admit that these things are a credible possibility. I for one believe Martin Taylor imminently joining us is a credible possibility and find it ridiculous that people like Jas are doing all they can to convince themselves otherwise. In fact the members of this community (with some exceptions) need to have a good long look at their viewpoints and stop criticising and expressing doubt for the sake of it.
 20.
Which Monday? This month?  This year?  These threads are getting real comical now lol
If you don''t believe it, ignore it. For crying out loud, it''s a rumour just like the dozens of others. For what it''s worth, I''ve heard similar to what Mal''s heard regarding Taylor, and frankly there are plenty of others who seem to suggest the same - that Martin Taylor is very close to becoming a Norwich player, depending on Brum''s move for Cahill.I''ve not heard about the striker, though Mal. If you feel inclined, PM me the name, I love a bit of gossip! :)Thanks
 21. Leicester must be laughing; Roeder has got to play a weakened side to ensure we''re fresh and fit to face them. The League must take priority.
 22.
This makes no sense, Why couldnt we have sold him and got some money back?
Because the way the deal was structured if we got rid now, it only costs £240k compared to £1mil + if we kept him on.
 23. His potential is obvious. What''s equally as obvious is our inability to play to his strengths. He''s being played as a target man and being beaten every time. I''d like to see him being played alongside a target man. His finishing is very impressive and I think him and Cureton should be competing for the same spot, not partnering each other.
 24. I think it''s just a case of him having other suitors and is speaking to these others to see what options he has available. I don''t see why he won''t commit to an extension of his current loan, though.
