  1. I was there also to see the great Mathews but he failed to impress in a very poor Stoke performance , as a side issue i met by chance Jim Oliver''s son in TSB at the old castle meadow branch there was a picture on the wall of his dad scoring a spectacular scissor kick for City .
  2. Personally i have never seen our keepers worked so hard on match days either before or at half-time this has helped Forster in particular stay focused and i am sure he would say has only helped him become an even better keeper so good luck Paul Crichton .
  3. Just a thought , he is scoring goals and looking sharp and similar in build to Holt , we also have Zak to slot in central defence . This would also leave Ole to come on as an impact player from the bench as usual , not sure if we can risk him from the start yet . Lambert will make the right decisions as usual , it seems to come so naturally to him a truly brilliant manager and we are so lucky to have him thank you board for getting it right at long last and long may he stay fingers crossed .
  4. They were brilliant entertainment i thought the best chant was " we only want one shot " and when it came they celebrated as if they had won the fa cup .
  5. How nice it was to see Martin Peters at the match Saturday a real true hero and legend he still looks fit enough to play .
  6. I find this news sad personally as England as a nation will also suffer this loss , to me he would have been a perfect strike partner for Rooney good in the air good with either foot and a real footballers brain. All in all he was a very talented player and he deserved the chance to prove his qualities at the highest level , i believe this injury was obtained while on England an training session when all the so called experts were saying he would have played at least some part of the following match .
  7. We are looking at defensive cover ref. the right-back problem but it is still wise to monitor young talent in all areas and non-league and lower leagues all have talent eager to progress . We now need to shop in these groups as we are in financial crisis and will probably need to sell in January .
  8. Why not , we are a match for any team on current form and Lambert has promised to take the game to Leeds they won''t be used to that at Elland rd [ CITY 2-1 ] .
  9. There were transfer requests when he fell out with managers i recall but when sense prevailed he stayed . As was stated earlier he was a true entertainer a crowd pleaser if you like but above all a bloody brilliant keeper. I had the privilege to meet Kevin many times mostly at the club when employed as a steward and also at his home delivering items he and his then wife had purchassed. He was a true gentleman even if his reputation suggested different and a true legend for the canaries .
  10. Rudd has been called up by England for a match next month so this may be the reason ?
  12. The buy out at Birmingham is getting ever closer with recent press reports of this Yeoung ? guy paying a fixed down payment of i think 4 million to prove his willingness to pursue purchase . So there maybe some truth in these latest stories linking us but i read in some story elswhere of his lifetime love West Ham , still we live in hope .
  14. He is still the poorest right-back i have ever seen at this club and unless the Doc improves his form our defence will always struggle to keep clean sheets .
