1. OK I guess but I was hoping for maybe a suprise second signing...striker hopefully.............maybe friday.........
2. I was on a greek island (Thassos I think) and wearing my shirt, went into a local car hire place and the guy was a city fan with pictures up in the office etc.....gave me a good price on a mota. Also on the same holiday some geeza stopped me in the street after seeing the city tattoos on my legs, and showed me his....... Went to Gambia about 15 yrs ago before it became more mainstream and left all my city t-shirts and shirts for the locals including a couple of rotherham shirts. And finally.......I had my city shirt on walking into the HMV in Sheffield (about 1989 ish) and none other than......Wayne Biggins was walking out .....with a city shirt on.  He said something to me (probably get out out of the way - kidding) and we went about our business. small world
3. Ive seen holty at several away games since he left us mainly in the midlands......he''s still a fan of the club. I take the point about sentiment etc but right now we need people really pulling for this club who care about it and not people looking for their next big pay cheque.....there is a balance somewhere Rich
4. What about Lapps at left back?  very attacking option.....
5. I agree with both comments, we will go to £400k hopefully and that should be the ceiling.  Just because Deby had their pants down when they signed him doesnt mean we have to
6. agreed...the guy sounds a prime time tool Hucks is the best thing to happen to this club for as long as I can remember. It saddens me to admit this, but I had high hopes for him coming back and doing a job for us....but the injury he''s carrying make this less and less likely. I am sure he will be back in some capacity, and think it will give the whole club a lift to know he is in some way involved again. Keep the faith hucks
7. Not for sure.  I work in Nottingham and sit next to a Derby season ticket holder.  The word on the street in Derby is that we bid £200k and then £300k......I''m sure we will go back again but it all depends on how much they want.  If they want all the £750k they paid for him then no chance, if they are prepaired to loose some then we have a chance.  My mate reckons Derby would prefer to loan him out for the season rather than sell so we might sign Lee and take dickinson on loan with a view to a permanent perhaps....... BTW, the Derby fans really rate him and are dissapointed he hasnt been given a chance in the first team.
8. good point well made and reflects what 90% of fans probably think.  let the minority stew in their own shit or go and support the binners
9. i think we will actively try to sign both....and a good move it will be im sure
10.
I don''t know. Honest. Just asking. OTBC
whats it matter .....i''m not from norfolk but have been following city since 1982 and bleed green and yellow Just cos people arent from norfolk dont make em any less passionate about the place of the club
11. People keep talking Hooly''s lack of goals.....but I didnt think his goal scoring record was that good prior to signing anyway? I accept we havent seen the best of him yet, and hopefuly we will next season but I dont see him as a goalscorer but someone who will open up defences and create chances. With an inform curo, Lee / Dickinson in there to finish them off..........good times.........
12. I agree we should sign him but on our terms.....if hes is desperate to come then he will take a drop on wages etc to make it happen. Not more than £250k, we then have some dosh left over to buy other players, plus Clingan is almost nailed on to go so we still have some cash on the hip. I wouldnt see Lee as our goal getter, more the link between the flanks and midfield....the glue that can hold a decent front line together definatley. Cody and co will need some more experienced heads to help bring them on and we NEED some big caracters in the dressing room that we are defo missing since Hucks / Dion went.
13.
i dont know how some of you feel regarding this sort of figure thats been mentioned . to be honest i feel this is vastly over-priced . just wondering what sort of figure do you think this man is worth considering his age and has not scored that many of late . i do think the man will do a job put i dont think he is worth that sort of money to be honest
where have you got this from? £600k was the figure Palace paid for him last August....they are looking to recoupe SOME of that figure. Agree he is worth £250k tops....maybe £150k plus add ons linked to promotion / appearences and goals perhaps
14. dont see any reason why it should be us....seems people are jumping to conclusions?
15. this is fantastic news....... I dont think he will cost us anywhere near £350k......it sound like warnock is saying "make an offer he can go".....£150k could well seal the deal
16. I hope they go to the wall to be honest they would want us to if / when it happens
17. Heard "chear up sleepy Jean" on the radio this morning and I naturally started sining the old anti binner tune of "F*ck off George Burley, oh what can it mean, to a sad Scottish B*stard and a sh!t football team........." Then it struck me that the Roy Keane''s name fits perfectly and rhyms as well...Keane/mean/team.....just thought I would share that with you...sorry bored at work this morning.... Rich
18. ive got a banjo and a field full of cows....perhaps I could coach our strikers on how to hit a cows arse with a banjo
19. i am gutted....i think this guy could genuinly be top scorer in this division, and for 2-300k would be a very tidy bit of business. the guy might not want to go to blackpool at the end of the day so there is always a chance.......fingers crossed. while I would like Lee at the club he is at the end of his career, dickinson is only really just getting started and is a real long term asset
20. he''s hardly played a game for them since going there, is proper injury prone and to be honest I think it was a good bit of business letting him go for about a £mil back then. Dont want him back......time for new heroes and all that.
21. without doubt a talented player, dont think he ever reached his peak due to injury and the beer by the sound of it. pissed it away then it sound like.....
22. i also seem to remember a 7-1 drubbing at blackburn but cant remember a game with more than 8 goals.
