1.
Good point.Jarvis has worked hard for us when he has played, run around a bit too much looking for the ball. What is he worth?
Interesting how people see different things in football, Jarvis has always seemed lazy to me.
 2.
Martin and Jarvis couldnt work? Martin has no pace? Yesterday, he took on players, good on the ball, good runs, strong as an ox. I think they would work, Brown isnt exactlly grease lightning is he!!!
I was impressed with Chris Martin yesterday, I think most people were. But I think it was fairly obvious he''s not particularly pacey. If you played Martin and Jarvis upfront you''d have two forwards who aren''t big and don''t have much pace. Really these days you need at least 1 of them to be big or 1 to be quick. Jarvis is also lazy. I thought Kevin Kyle was quite impressive for them yesterday, really big strong lad who competed. Fairly mobile too for a lad of his size.
 3. While I''ve never thought Colin is the answer at right back he''s definitely improved this season. He''s got more quality than Andy Hughes has, that''s for sure. Aside from the fact he is a natural right-back and Andy Hughes isn''t he''s also comfortable with the ball at his feet and clearly had a bit of an understanding with Lee Croft playing ahead of him. My guess is that Colin wants out at the end of the season so PG is freezing him out now. Which, if that is the case, is good on PG in a way but then we''re not in the best of situations at the moment and could do with playing our best players and when it comes to right-back...Jurgen Colin is definitely better than Andy Hughes.
 4.
He is a low grade wannabe unloaded by Keane because he had no future at this level. We were the only takers and got mugged yet again. Add to this the useless Fotheringham and Lappin...who are classic journeymen and you''re left with a half decent keeper who went back injured....and Chadwick (apparently spotted by Worthington)....who is as inconsistent as the rest.  Great transfer window Grant....excellent investments Smith. Bilge. Bugger off.
I think Brown needs to be cut some slack, maybe it''d be fairer to judge him when Norwich are playing well and Peter Grant (or hopefully a better manager) is picking better teams. When Earnie comes back and if we play the right players in the right positions then that might be a more reasonable time to judge Chris Brown. It can''t be easy for a young player to settle in to a new team when the manager makes so many bizarre changes. As for Fotheringham...well he was useless yesterday. Whether it''s because he was out of position I don''t know but on that showing it''s easy to see why he didn''t have a club. Lappin looks like a good footballer though, seems to have a clever football brain to go with his nice left peg. Good signing, no doubt about it. I think Chadwick will prove to be an assest too.
 5.
Haven''t heard that rumour, but I''m 99% certain that if Earnie hadn''t been injured he would have moved on in January.
I''m 100% certain he would have stayed had he not been injured. However, if we keep playing rubbish football because the manager keeps picking the wrong team I can''t see him staying too much longer.
 6. Terrible team selection from Peter Grant, terrible. Andy Hughes didn''t know what he was doing at right back. We have no width on the right hand side because Fotheringham isn''t a winger and was just useless today anyway. The Colin/Croft partnership was doing alright and there was a clear understanding between them but Grant has just completely disregarded it. And you can tell he got it wrong because he had to take both Hughes and Fozzie off. Simon Lappin...good left foot and definitely an intelligent player but a central midfielder? I think not. Another poor decision by the manager. It was only when we got all 3 subs on, people that can actually play a bit of football, that we started to look a better team. Thought Shackell did well today, I''m usually critical of him because I don''t think he''s ever looked a particularly great defender but he definitely put in a good performance. Also thought Chris Martin did well, he''s being given a chance with Norwich and he''s showing he''s got something to offer. Which is something that Ryan Jarvis has always failed to do.
 7. While I don''t think we''ll get relegated we''re obviously not safe at the moment and I don''t think a protest would exactly help us, not likely to create a great atmosphere. In conclusion... get a grip and get behind the team.
 8.

Could be a blessing in disguise if we cancel his loan and get a better keeper in. Although I have no idea who''d be available especially since we let Lee Camp get away.
he was a good keeper, who do you want instead, Peter Czech, Paul Robinson, Van Der Saar?
He was average. I suspect because people knew/know Gallacher is a bit of a weak link they want to see something that isn''t really there. In my opinion he''s just been average. He''s made 1 or 2 good saves but his communcation is a bit poor and sometimes he just doesn''t look interested. For the record it''s Petr Cech and Van Der Sar.
How can you have made such an opinion in the few games he has played GJP? I really didn''t see enough of him to form an opinion. I didn''t see the first game against Blackpool so only had the three home games to go by. I thought he looked a strong character and was impressed by the way he demanded players accept the ball when he had posession. On Tuesday night it was the same old with Gallacher not being forceful in his distribution. It''s all academic now but having identified the goalkeeper as a position that needed improvement as a priority surely every attempt must be made for another loan. I heard a rumour on Tuesday that we had actually paid a loan fee for Marshall, if that is true I hope we can get it back!
You question how I could form an opinion and say you haven''t seen enough to do so yourself, yet you clearly have. You think he''s a strong character and you''re impressed by the way he demanded the players accept the ball. (I don''t mean that to come across as moody if it does) My opinion is that he''s looked disinterested and at times he''s switched off. For example, I think it was the first goal we conceded at home to Blackpool, it was from a corner but we were forced to concede the corner because Marshall failed to call and come for a ball that should have been his. A bread and butter catch. Because he wasn''t aware it forced Dion to put the ball behind. Lee Camp looked more lively to me and a better prospect for Norwich.
 9.
we have to blood lewis then in my opinion as gallacher looks ropey at the moment
Yeah, I don''t see the harm in that. I thought he''d have at least been given a go in the Tamworth game.

 12. I''m yet to be convinced by Peter Grant, I''m always a bit worried about his team selection (amongst various other things). But I like to give people a chance so we shall see. Whatever people want to say about Worthy the fact is that under him we were once the best side in this league, absolutely no question about it. Are we going to be like that under Peter Grant?
 13.
hes scored 6! he would be 2nd top scorer behind an injured earnshaw so he would be our main goal threat and we wouldnt need the awful chris brown!
6? Is that it? After moving for a million pound and not having the likes of Earnshaw to compete with. I was a huge fan of Neon Leon when he played for City but really he''s a bit of a nearly man. He''ll work his socks off and he''ll score a few goals but he''s not quite the quality you''d really want to take the club forward.
 14.
Are you sure ? It was a transfer, not some loan arrangement. Well I think NW made a big mistake with not playing two up front, Earnshaw & McKenzie. After a few reasonable displays at the start of this season one up front was enough. McKenzie got on the bench and out of Carrow Road. McKenzie was and is a goalscorer and what do we still need now ???? Yesss a goalscorer ... Croft hardly ever scores, neither does Brown sofar, our whole midfield, also the new players, are not great goalscorers. Only Earnshaw, Huckerby, Dublin and hopefuly Martin .... you will never never get near the play-offs ... I hope I''m wrong. And I still think McKenzie is a great player, works 200%, motivator, scorer ... look back on your DVD''s in the Premiership when he was one of the best !
While I''d have liked Leon to stay.... how many goals has he scored for Coventry this season?
 15. Thing is when you look at Youssefs record it tells you that for one reason or another he''ll never play a full season. If he was able to play all the way through then he''d probably play for a bigger/better club than Norwich. He''s a good footballer, ok he lacks a little bit of pace, but he is quality.
 16. I don''t think he''s looked that good. Average, nothing more.
 17.
I have just been looking on some of the rotherham and leyton orient messageboards and apparently hendo is doing rubbish and jarvis played well on debut Hendo "hendo couldnt score from 2 yards out never mind the penalty spot." - Hendo maybe needs a loan in league 2 methinks Jarvis "Some of his first touches were subline in the first half. Never stopped running either during the whole game, a good find by Ling." "Excellent debut and clearly has a football brain."   Sounds like jarvis has found his level, would like to see him back here though as he has always had the talent. Hendo seems like he has lost any confidence he did have left.
I would not like to see Jarvis back here. It''s been obvious for quite some time he''s not good enough at this level. Very, very ordinary. As for Hendo I always thought he tries hard enough but the quality just isn''t there. Neither are good enough for Norwich.
 18. I thought Brown did alright yesterday and against Blackpool the other night he was tremendous. I don''t see any need for him to ''fight his way back into the team'' that suggests he hasn''t been doing his bit, and he has. We''re away at Preston in the next league game aren''t we? I don''t think it''d be fair on Chris Martin to expect him to lead the line against them, he''s not cut out for that. Chris Martin in the team...but not at the expense of Chris Brown.
 19.

Croft is playing well, he has been unlucky !!
Should have scored that volley. That was just a bad miss, not unlucky.
Erm, were you actually watching the game? The first was a great recovering block from Boooooolarooooz, with the ball seemingly heading to the bottom corner.  The second was a good volley but matched by a great save to tip it onto the post.  I don''t see how that''s not unlucky?
Erm, yes I was. I didn''t comment on the first, I commented on the volley that Cech saved. He went for the soft shot on the inside of his foot. He should have put his foot through it, he would have scored. He should have scored from that chance, end of.
I guess that''s why you''re flying high playing in Manchester United''s first team, whilst poor Crofty languishes in the Championship... It was on target, but Cech made a good save.  Watch the replays...
I''m sure most professionals at that level, particularly more forward type players would look back at that and think they should have scored. If they don''t then there''s something wrong. I would think Lee Croft playing with a bit more confidence (and without the thought of the one he launched over the bar in the back of his mind) wouldn''t have given Cech much of a chance.

 22.

Shacks must be a Rio Ferdinand...
God i hope not! the most overated player i have ever seen! Quite how Ferdinand has kept his place in the England team and hasnt been found out at Man Yoo is beyond me! Shacks can be Fabio Cannavaro jas :)
Really? I fail to see how Rio Ferdinand is overrated. He''s excellent in the air, a great tackler, reads the game well, can play the ball and can shift across the turf. He might have the odd lapse in concentration but never enough to be considered overrated. Fabio Cannavaro...an injury prone player who''d often been criticised as not having lived up to his potential until the WC when he played half a dozen good games and suddenly became the best player in the world. Also notoriously egotistical, never afraid to praise himself up. (not saying he isn''t a good defender, because he is) I prefer Kolo Toure myself.
