  1. A huge crowd and just shows the kids what a club they play for. Forget all the negative talk of recent weeks, which I must admit is falling away a little, (are you reading Smudger?) this great football club is on the up. EIEIEIO up the football league we go!!
  2. Not sure why we are all so happy that he is still injured, if he had been fit all season, scored lots of goals he may have played for England and be on the verge of a big money move with West Ham going down. Think of the cash we could have earnt by his success!
  3. What a waste of talent, he had so much going for him. A few of the current squad should take note, enjoy your days at Carrow Road as you probably don''t realise what good club it is. I bet if Muryne had his time again he wouldn''t have left thinking the grass was greener!!
  4. I am all for rewarding sucess and excellence but some of these figures telephone numbers. Real match winners like Hucks can justify the cash as if we don''t pay it somebody else will, supply and demand. I have worked for my company for 15 years, spent 3 years at uni and yet a teenage championship player earns more cash. Why should I be bitter I had the choice but choose a real job!!
  5. Give the poor chap a chance he has been on top from recently, why are so many posts always negative? Ok, I know it''s not the best thing to have players flying all over the world for internationals but you know the risks when you sign these guys. I believe that is why PG is looking at bring home grown players in.
  6. Madness, the board sold half his team, but the club deserve Div 1 football. If they want success in the future they will need to ground share with the MK Dons!!
  7. If things are so bad and you don''t care why waste your time posting your message??
  8. Better the devil you know, not so sure Leeds fans are so impressed now Ken Bates is running their club. For every example of a new saviour e.g. Adam Pearson at Hull there is an example of a club going to rack and ruin a la Brighton, Wrexham or Hearts. Many clubs struggle for a couple of years following relegation from the prem, look at Bradford City, Wednesday, Forest, Swindon, Barnsley and Man City, they all ended up in the old Div 3/4, many end up in administration! We have had a tough couple of years but the green shoots are appearing!
  9. He has got huge ability and can be a great player on his day but sadly those days were a long time ago. I believe he has found times hard and likes to have a drink, which doesn''t help, if he could turn himself round again he would still be a very talented footballer for somebody else.
  10. At last it''s opening and we haven''t been there for 21 years, it must be out time again soon. So when will we play there?  Let''s hope we are there in May 2008 for the playoff finals, what a day to look forward to!!
  11. Wake up and smell the canary, he''s just bought Brown so he is hardly likely to sell him!! If we are building a team why are we selling so many guys?? We need a keeper, if Hull go down look no further than Boz Myhill.
  12. If he hates Grant so much why is he getting a new mortgage?? His form at Barnsley was top notch so he is playing for Grant. Another thought.....on a top pros wages who needs a mortgage?
  13. Warner looked OK to me just needs to work on his kicking but don''t forget he hasn''t played for  a while. He was quick to distribute the ball but made a couple of errors as he probably didn''t know his team mates name!
  14. I watched the game from the main stand with a Barnsley mate. We could have had 5 goals in the first half and played some great stuff. Crofty played very well but he should have been booked for a blatent dive, Safri was superb and Shackell led the defence and will be a future captain.Martin struggled a bit with their physical approach but overall a promising performance, I bet Derby are not looking forward to Tuesday!
  15. How about; 3 points at Luton and another 3 at Barnsley Clear out of dead wood e.g Thorne, McVeigh (talented but may be troubled with the bottle me sadly thinks) Time for Grant to get his players in the summer More communication from the board room inc Delia More positive postings on the message boards are you reading this smudger!!
  16. What is the point in all this nonsense. If you reallly want the baord out then have you got a replacement, have they got £M''s to buy out Delia and co and invest more in the club. Until you have somebody else in mind who can do better I suggest you stick to playing with your marbles!
  17. Marty, The point I was making was that the lad was going nowhere and to give him a chance to play some football Grant loans him out to get some goals and confidence, he can then come back a ''new man'' and carry on his form at Carrow Road. I am suggesting he is prooving himself already and we need him back ASAP as we are not scoring. To suggest he is only scoring because it is  Division 1 is a nonsense, look at Lita or Eastwood, both scored for fun down there and keep it going at a higher level. The top line is if he comes back and is given a chance to play for 4/5 games and scores a couple we need to offer him a new deal and Grant will have been proved right in giving him an opportunity in the 1st place.
  18. Pleased to see Grant has pulled a masterstroke and sent out Ryan on loan and he cann''t stop scoring. When is he due back as we could do with his goals here!
  19. What a complete non starter and what a way to motivate the team. If you must make a fool of yourself wait until we have enough points for safety or leave it to the last game of the season and put an ad in the lonely hearts column so you have someone to hold your hand!
  20. There must have been over 100 seats left empty in the top tier where the ''City stand'' joined the Chelsea West Stand and this was guarded by 20 or so Police I presume this was for crowd safety but considering there was a huge gap between the stands with a 50 foot drop I am not sure I understand the logic!!
  21. Great isn''t it and we could be the lowest ranked club in the 6th round!!
  22. 10/10 for enthusiasm, 5/10 for results 10/10 long term vision He exam results will published next May!!
  23. Good idea, any shirt would be better than the last few away shirts, green and now white, it''s time we got a decent kit manufacture. What happened to the good old days of Mitre when our merchandise was worth buying, the club shop is full of cxxp. Many smaller clubs get deals with companies like Puma who design gear fans want to buy. OK so our margin wouldn''t be as good but the turnover would increase etc etc.
  24. Rupethebear wrote the following post at 22/01/2007 8:16 PM: Ok so Worthy sacks Foley and the board sack Worthy yet Livermore stays. Why didn''t we clear him out when Worthy left, what has he got to offer?   At last my prayers have been answered!!
