1. *sigh* Talk about a story of nothing. The "big pot" is the entire budget and the "slice" is the usual transfer allotment. So - Peter Grant is being given some money, from some earnt to buy players at the end of the season.... it''s hardly news at all!
 2. I think you are on to something - why do we need to pick one way or the other? Depending on the opposition, depending on the available squad, depending how the match it going, Huckerby can be swapped, moved about and still be absolutely amazing. Making a single choice and sticking to it is a bad thing, because then he is predictable and the opposition can cater for it before the game starts - if they haven''t a clue where he is gonna play, from one minute to the next, we''re onto a winner!!
 3.
I don''t know if anyone else agrees with me, but I think it is time that the club introduced a better way of allocating tickets for big matches. (I didn''t bother applying for Chelsea tickets before you have a go, couldn''t afford it and been before. Barnsley and Cardiff coming up as well). It seems that there are number of season ticket holders who will get tickets for Chelsea, where some members who go to most way games will not. We struggled to sell 900 tickets for Tamworth, but suddenly we could sell 8-9000 tickets for a cup match. What about the 1900 who trekked all the way to Blackpool??? I bet some of them miss out on tickets too. I know some see having a season ticket as the ultimate in support but I disagree. Making the 20 min etc trip to Carrow Raod once a fortnight doesn''t exactly make you a super-supporter (what else would you do on a Sat afternoon??) I think the club should bring in a loyalty points system, allocating points for different games. I''m not trying to have a go at season ticket holders, far from it to be honest, but I just think there are some who don''t have the chance (for whatever reason) to have a season ticket, but spend a lot of time and money supporting Norwich away from home. (Season ticket holders who regularly travel, and away season ticket holders please ignore!!!)
You already have a system - you have preference if you''ve got 10 away stubs from the previous season.
 4.
I would hazard a guess at least 50 of them are , but 2 afraid to come out, and no i am neither homosexual or homophobic
hahaha! Genius! Apparently 73.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.... The actual statistic of homosexuality in men, is 1 in 10.
 5.
Im only 15, and was born in 1992.
Oh!? So you aren''t a real fan, then? :)
 6.
Can anyone help, I am having an argument with my wife over our famous victory, she claims that Man Utd fielded a weakened side and that was why we beat them, and yet I think they put out a strong side, can anyone tell me the actual Man Utd lineup?
It was slightly weakened, with the prime players on the bench - who all came on, all pretty early in the game.
 7.
IS ANYONE ELSE SICK OF POSTERS WITH A VIEW ON EVERYTHING?
I have no view on this...
 8.
To be described as truly world class I think you have to have proved yourself at the highest level (e.g. Champions League, European Champs (or the equivalent) and World Cup) on a fairly regular basis.
So George Best was never world class, despite being considered one of the greatest players of all time?
 9. I bet after Dion''s first game I was saying something similar... he was particularly unspectacular!
 10. Said at the start; we''ve only replaced Monty Burns with Smithers...
 11. Great move by Grant! In being a new manager, the best thing he can do is surround himself with experience.
 12. I''ve alway had it in my mind that Quinn is one of those few people in life that aren''t totally driven by money and the bottom line - that he actually gives a monkeys about "the fans"... (or just "people") and he is actually geniune...
 13.
I don''t know if you guys have read about it (or even been interested in it) but in a nutshell the Engalnd kit maker Umbro has refused to supply supermarkets like Tesco and Asda.  Obviously with the buying power they have it could have meant a big reduction on price for the fans, clearly Umbro are happy to take £40 of anyones hard earned money for a strip rather than sell more at a lower price.  More often than not "new" kits are made by the same company, have the same sponsor and by and large, look the same as the last overpriced t-shirt they played in.  You can''t help but feel that "football" is taking advantage of fans loyalty.
Soccer world will have them for over 1/2 price - you can almost guarantee it! :)
 14.
Toronto FC are set to be David Beckham''s first opponents on 5 August following his decision to join Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy from Real Madrid in the summer. (Daily Mail) Well we will finaly get a test of how good Brennan is! He will be up against Beckham on the opening day of the season along with Robinson. Any guesses as to who is going to come out on top?
Brennan. :)
 15.

Then, what are we, please? Saving our money for a rainy day? OTBC
Spending our money on players that deliver value for money (Lappin, hopefully) rather than wasting it on panic buys for crap players (Hughes). I''d rather not spend money at all, than waste money on players that don''t improve the squad.
so lappin is''nt a panic buy? 75000 dont pay the wages from mon till wensday - spent a couple of days wages to give the impression were doing something and u all fall for it - wake up pleeeeese
No - Lappin was a primary target of Grants and has been a target for a long time - he was secured at the last minute, but the decision to buy him was always positive - we''ve been after him since Grant arrived. Hughes was an example of "bugger - we can''t get anyone good, but we need somebody in for fear of fielding schoolboys..." and hence we ended up paying a large amount of money for a total pile of rubbish.
It may be an urban myth and if so, someone will correct me, but, Hughes was a long term target of Worthy''s and his number one priority in the summer of 2005 along with Primus.  Not sure whethetr that is scarier than him being a panic buy or not????????
Quite. The bottom line is - I''d rather we bought no-one than waste (large amounts of) money on liabilities. For the same money as Hughes we''ve got Fozzy, Lappin, Dion and Chadwick and still got change...

 17.
I would suggest we need another striker ... Billy Jones would be perfect
Billy Jones is a defender....?

 19.
Has Peter Grant conveniently forgotten that he had already loaned Fleming out to Wolves and that he wouldn''t have been able to recall him in the first month ???? Seems to me he is trying to cover up his schoolboy error of letting Fleming go on loan when we he knew Shackell was struggling and the two full backs were on four yellow cards .
I think you need to get out more, mate! :)
 20.
ppl keep talkin about ''WLY''...who is he?
We Love You .... Paul McVeigh....
 21.

Considering he was "rumoured" to be trousering 9k a week I think we''ve done well to give him away.
If the £9k is correct, which is probably true, we''ve effectively freed up £702k as he had 18 months left on his contract.  Not a bad bit of business.  Add this to Flemings c£12 for 6 months that''s another 72k, so he''s saved £800k in a little over a day.  This is obviously savings to the playing budget, whether it be used to bring in loan signings, balance the books, transfer fees it''s up to PG.
Actually - if Flem was on £12k (not £12!! ;) ) then it''s £312 over 6 months. Which means he''s saved over a million!!
 22.
Only signing one striker (cheapo option and not exactly goal machine Brown) was a huge error.
We shouldn''t have signed Brown at all? :)
 23.
If it works.........who cares?
*stunned* I agree with Wizard!
 24.
Norwich 0 nine man Wolves 1, and 4 points from relegation!. If Grant is making you happy, what the hell has he got to do to upset you!.
Try reading, Wizard.
