Sunderland v Norwich - match thread
stroud canary replied to Iwan=legend's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So who would you have started with? Jarvis? Not a great option, he choose the right team in the circumstances. Thorne isnt fit enough, Dublins needed at the back. The problem comes from having a tiny squad. We had a devastatingly bad summer in the transfer market which is costing us dear. You cannot blame Grant until he gets some more players to choose from. We just have to hope we can hang in there until January. Southampton and Wolves away will be tricky and Sheff Wed are now the form team, so we have a really tough job until xmas. -
Uh Oh

Grant has enquired about taking this young winger on loan from Spurs. Anyone seen him play?
-
SO, WHY ONLY ONE LOAN SO FAR?
stroud canary replied to Rudolph Hucker's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think we will see a loan or 2 this week. Grant has put plenty of calls in and most managers said they would see after the weekend - quote from clubcall. -

Now 7-2 with ladbrokes..not a good sign. If anyone wants a bet on Royle hes 50`s with bet direct and only 7`s at ladbrokes -

Book closes at 6.30 today on bet365...Why is that? -
We have no players left, its a joke.. I remember Earny being told when he signed we will have 5 or 6 new players in the summer.. We have 5 less. Worthy will have to start playing soon.

Johansson has 11 -
Not too sure- really frustrating this one, always seems to be out for the next month whenever mentioned. Was exicited when we signed him - and asked a good mate of mine (Forest fan) about him - he said - good player but very injury prone!

Etuhu was Good "apparentlY"
stroud canary replied to Huddy 's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Interesting reading all your thoughts on Etuhu. Alot seem to have it in for him. Last night was the first time Ive seen him play and I thought he looked OK and doesnt deserve the criticism he gets. I feel given a chance with a good partner (Safri) he could do weel for us. It was so obvious from the start that a Midfield three of Charlie, Etutu and Hughes were not up to it. Charlie looks so out of his depth in midfield. Jarrett should have started or even Rehman in the centre with Etuhu in a four man midfield. -
Quite a depressing statistic, but we had an OG V Cardiff and an OG V Birmingham. Which must mean it was Ryan Jarvis at Luton, this must be 5 and a bit games since one of our players has put the ball in the net. Someone please correct me or wake me up from a continuing nightmare.

Burley the best option?
stroud canary replied to Tim Dawson's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
O''Neil said in the press this week his situation at home has not changed so will not be thinking about a return to football - was in responce to Hearts or Ireland job, (cant remeber which). Shame! Burley seems the best out there. Does make you wonder about his personality tho with two fallouts recently. -
According to talk sport reporter.

Mattias Jonson leaving is the biggest mistake of this season for me. He wanted to stay - Good buisness Worthy said! What a load of rubbish, 700k for a player that could have been awesome in this league is crap business. Instead we got Ian "weak" Henderson on the right. Midfield is where we have a major problem and Jonson really wanted to stay. It makes me mad just thinking about it. We didnt have a choice with Francis but this sale should not have happened.

How important is this man Safri
stroud canary replied to south stand corner terrace's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hopefully Ramadan wont affect us too much. But am I right in thinking the African Nations Cup is this winter? Does anyone know how much ( if at all) this will affect us/ Safri? -
End Of Season Prediction
stroud canary replied to YankeeCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We will be in the Play off positions. 80 points. Win play off final with a really dodgy penalty in injury time over Sheff Utd. Neil Warnock then resigns due to ill health. -
Norwich agree £2million fee for Morrison
stroud canary replied to We need a Manager's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Would like to think we can keep Ashton, Leon , Morrison all happy. So Jarvis and Thorne are the guys struggling. Hucks isnt really in the equation as hes played on the left virtually all his City career. -
It is 9.

Message for Francis!
stroud canary replied to Northern Yella's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Spot on. He shoul take a leaf out of Andy Johnsons book. Show us some loyalty. -
Anywhere but Portsmouth!!!
stroud canary replied to stroud canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He will be hard to replace. But it seems like he doesnt want to play for us, so lets move on. Surely if he did still want to be at Norwich he would have shut his agent up, like Huckerby did. Effectivley Jarrett for Francis plus 1.5m could be great business. -
I think Worthy is really p***ed off with Portsmouth and Francis, so accepting a bid from Wigan is perfect for many reasons. 1) We got a great chance of going up as Wigan go down - 2 fingers to Damo! 2) Portsmouth have totally messed us about firstly trying to unsettle Green, then putting numerous low bids in for Francis. 3) they want the Francis deal on there terms - low price - no Primas. So just get the feeling Worthy will be so happy if he goes to Wigan. Dont think he would sell to Portsmouth after all there messing about. Good on ya Worthy!
