I Left at 4 nil down already in tears along with my two youngest sons  in floods of tears , i remembered being at Leeds in 95 when we were relegated and the abuse i suffered from the Leeds scum was something i did not want to repeat especially with my two young boys with me, a horrid day, Tho one thing sticks in my mind, driving away from Fulhams ground whilst the game was still on there must have been in the region of between 2000 and 3500 in the pubs, by the river, everywhere, the support that day was phenomenal!!

Afternoon all,                      I See there are strong links with Carlos Edwards the right sided midfielder from Luton Town, as a North Wales canary i have seen Carlos a number of times, he can pass, cross delightfully and beats opponents with ease, 3 of my work colleagues are season ticket holders at Wrexham and say he is the most talented player to wear the red shirt and were suprised he didnt go straight to the prem, here`s hoping Worthy actually gets something right and gets him!!  Anyone else seen him recently??

Etuhu had a decent game, at least he can play football unlike Hughes, Spillane looks useful and in fairness we played some decent football today, an improvement!!

Thank you seedyrom, it really was mind bendingly awful, Reading can assemble a promotion winning side on what we paid for Hughes incredible!! Whoever takes over as well as bringing your own backroom staff in , appoint your own scouts too!!! ideally i would love to see Bowen, Crook and David Williams forge a trio, and they certainly know how football should be played.

Just got home from Preston and tho a regular reader of these boards i rarely post at all, but today i have to say enough is enough, this midfield of ours is now beyond a joke, todays performance was garbage, dreadful, worthy i hope you read these boards because the midfield players you have bought are dreadful, Andy Hughes is not pub team standard, who on earth on scouting missions deemed this man to be worth 500k!!  I have just read on BBC sport that worthy thought this was one of our better away performances, well for the benefit of those who didnt go it was awful, our first shot on goal was on 70 mins ( off target), Preston had 5 or 6 regulars out injured today and even lost two players thru injury in the first half, but still outplayed us! The only players who escape my criticism are the back four. Worthy wake up this is not acceptable sort it out, Hughes please go preferably to Ipswich !!   Rant over i feel better, season over too for me, had enough!!

Great post Monkey, the atmosphere was bouncing, we stayed behind the team all the way, the support and noise were second to none, i havent enjoyed an away game as much as that for a long while, as did my two lads who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, no im not a Worthy fan either but when we get behind the lads like that they must feel invincible on the pitch, so cmon everyone lets put Warnocks boys to the sword!!

Your post is bang out of order, I had two Watford fans in front of me in the jarrold a few wks ago, tops and hats on provoking fans thru out the game, in the end there was a nasty incident at full time involving these two clowns and a pleb Norwich fan who admitted to buying tickets for these two Watford loons, a melee between two decent Norwich fans and the two Watford fans and their Norwich buddy. Could this have been avoided , yes as the Norwich fan should have his season ticket taking off him for buying tickets for away fans, especially as there were plenty of gaps in there own end.   Secondly what are the stewards paid for as these two both had Watford shirts on along with their Watford beanies, i thought the policy was visiting fans in home areas will be ejected. Both stewards who eventually came to split the melee up then tried to blame the two Norwich lads, at this point i had to tell the stewards exactly what i thought of them., not repeatable on here! AWAY FANS STAY OUT OF HOME AREAS, CLEAR ENOUGH?

One thing that no-one has really highlighted was that 12 months ago when Deano joined us we were bottom of the premiership and had been for a while, at that time we never really looked like getting off the bottom either, but my point is relegation should never have been a big suprise to Mr Ashton as with our position it was always a big possibillity, so my reason for such disappointment was that he couldn`t even give us at least this season to see if we could scrape even the play-offs, he is only 22 its not as if he was in the last chance saloon for having a crack at the premiership.    I seem to remember also that not many teams were willing to take a chance on him either, Spurs, Everton and Palace all baulked at the 3 million price tag that was upon him, things might not have gone to plan for Mr Ashton this season ( god knows us fans didnt expect such a bad one was ahead), but he could have repaid our faith by sticking around until summer at very least.    But he`s gone so with that off my chest lets just pray Worthy uses the cash on Halford, Jerome, Koumas and Eastwood as opposed to Gray, Adebola and Lisbie!!!    Rant over!!!

There seems to be a lot of debate on here as regards to injuries and playing players out of position, no cover etc, etc  .  It boils down to one thing squad size, in the prem last season we had the smallest squad which ultimately cost us our prem place , as had we had some decent cover in certain positions the debacle at Craven cottage would have been neither here nor there as we would have been safe by then.     Which brings me to this season, 9 players go and only six come in and once again we have the third smallest squad in the championship, is that really acceptable for a team fresh out of the prem with the ability to attract players to a club with fantastic facilities that we have such a poor squad back up, to me the answer is to bring in four or five players but quality ones and let no-one go ( bar Brennan) , its up to the board to show the same daring attitude when they swooped for Huckerby, Crouch and Harper    Koumas, Danns, Halford and Jerome might indeed stretch resources but the push for the play-offs would be re-inforced and lets face it apart from Reading i wouldnt be afraid of anyone in the top six and if we were promoted it would fund itself, if not then sell Ashton and re-group for next season.   Does this make sense or is it insane rantings !!

I heard no Worthy out chants at Crewe Jas, were you there or just going on hearsay?

Good grief Cheeky monkey, were you at the game yesterday? Okay Crewe had a few chances, one great save from Greeno, but did you miss the Etuhu miss, the even more unbelievable miss as Robinson decided that unmarked from 15 yards out instead of stroking it past the crewe keeper he would attempt to find Mcveigh who was marked by two players. Plus various saves from the Crewe keeper, Safri shaving the bar, etc etc      Hughes and Robinson were hopeless, lets hope Mcveigh starts next saturday instead of either of the aforementioned!!

I don`t think getting behind the team will be a problem as most of the whingers on this board don`t go anyway, how else can you explain their ability to post whilst games are playing !

Ok Wiz and DD things are not acceptable under Worthy, but what are the options and before you throw Burley at me, he may well be a good choice but would he want to come, and if he did and had a sticky patch how long do you think impatient fans like u two would give him? lets be honest 3 defeats on the run and it would be Burley out before u know it!!   We don`t want another Megson or Hamilton, the pay or club position will not attract the decent ones so the question is who?   Personally i would like to see Adie Boothroyd with David Williams as his assistant, he`s young, very bright and knows Norwich inside out, alas i don`t think he will leave Watford other than that Martin Oneill to finish the job he briefly started but again unlikely. Any other ideas Wiz?
