If you had a choice would you rather we hung on to Brady or lost Brady but got in McCormack? Having both is not an option - for the sake of this little poll.

Scouting essentials
The Great Drinkell replied to True Grit's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Surely TG if you have the tablet why don''t you just video the game and enjoy it then write about it later,. Do this and you could progress to being a pundit on the telly. Also when a manager wants to know about a player you can down load the recording and let him judge for himself - taking any criticism off you as a scout. TGD -
Thanks Bethnal, that''s the guy did hold the ball up really well when the Hungarians were under pressure and won numerous free kicks to give the defence a breather. Then l I heard the no goals stat! although he would fit the Hungary striker description posters are after ;-)
-
I liked the Hungarian Striker number 9 held the ball up well, then they mentioned he hadn''t scored for about 18 months! looked a handful though in the Euros...sorry can''t remember his name.

Expectations this season
The Great Drinkell replied to can u sit down please's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Attacking football with a philosophy of we are a match for any side play with no fear and entertain. Then see where the results get us league position wise and enjoy it. oh and an exciting cup run. -
Seen a fair bit of him and his 1st season he burst on to the scene and looked a great prospect, last season he struggled as did Bolton but he still looked one of their better players. IMO would be a very very exciting signing and at 1.5m a snip.
-
Available on a free and despite his recent injury would be a great signing IMO - very highly thought of before the injury and came through the Crewe academy.

Bring Embokanee home

I believe Rafa also said he wouldn''t stay with Newcastle if they went down and he''s been persuaded to stay. This guy is quality (just look at his finish against Watford) and would frighten Championship defenders to death - would be a great signing. -
to my knowledge it still is up to the referee but it does appear to be the norm. My understanding regarding the direction of play was although fairly flat there is a slight uphill towards the Barclay and the players have always preferred to play up hill first half not sure but I think it was In Crook who told me this?

Don''t forget to contribute to the pups next season- that thread alone is worth hanging around for... and I do mean that thread alone!

At least then we might get a passing mention on talksport. -
I Like Irony and can see Watford beating Sunderland just to really annoy us and Newcastle. And to cap it all I''ll work on the same basis and have Naismith to score at any time. A massive thanks to Nutty for keeping this thread going (with a little help from Leeds) and it just leaves me to wish the pickers the very best of luck this week and everybody else a happy close season. I look forward to meeting up again on this thread in the championship. http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun-forums/cs/emoticons/emotion-22.gif

POLL: Our manager next season
The Great Drinkell replied to Katie Borkins's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
1 IMO he''s going to be a very good manager why let him take his experience from us elsewhere for somebody else to benefit from. -
Right then Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you all for your selections i count a total of 25 different selections with very few duplicated! ( which doesn''t make it any easier.) At this time of the season I always look for teams who still have things to play for especially if they are playing teams who season is all but over. With this at the back of my mind I have come up with the final 6 as follows Atl Madrid v Rayo Vallecano Home win (Chellecity & Twido) Barnsley v Colchester Home Win (Jelly & Vanwink) Bayern Munich V Munchengladbeck Home win (Diesel) Crewe V Doncaster Away win (Lappin) York V Bristol Rovers Away Win (Graham Humphreys) and Finally my pick Stevenage V Wimbledon away win (all my own work) Well while we are biting our nails over the two north east clubs results these might give us some distraction before our boys take to the field. Thanks to everybody for the excellent selections and although I haven''t selected either I hope Molly and Nana selection both come in Well here''s hoping and fingers crossed good luck to CA with the match bet let''s try and land a winning treble tomorrow you, me and the City!

Franz Bassong or R.Martin at CB???
The Great Drinkell replied to Row D Seat 7's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
both, lets play three centre halves then let Pinto and Brady loose down the wings like leicester away. Arsenal don''t play wide normally so fill the middle -
Thanks to all who have selected so far and for all the good wishes. I will be back later to give the final six and I love Molly''s optimism and I just hope this one comes true ( although I fear the worse) For the City bet I just can''t see us getting anything out of this game but with a hopeful heart I will go for Brady to score at any time. Good luck CA.

Good morning to all my fellow pups and a big thank you for the now famous Nutty build up. Now as NN mentioned I always like to look for a little value as I have had numerous times where the "solid" favourites slip up. but winning money for the CSF is the name of the game and with this in mind I will be taking an approach of "ambition with caution" I look forward to seeing more of your selections ( thanks to the early birds for theirs) and I will be posting the final 6 late on Friday night ( providing BT have connected me by then) get posting Pups - your team needs you.

There''s massive game at the wrong end of league 1 this weekend, where Fleetwood take on Blackpool not only is this the local derby but if Blackpool win they leap frog Fleetwood out of the relegation places and probably put Fleetwood in there. This is there last chance to avoid another relegation and I''m going to tip them Fleetwood v Blackpool Away win Good luck Yankee

Good luck to both Wooster and Chelle on the picks this week. Now I read with interest Woosters comments regarding not going for his pick of a Everton/Southampton Draw. The reason this is of interest is my Pick is the same match but a different outcome with the F.A Cup semi only a week away and having played in mid week along with the manager being under pressure from the fans, I think Southampton can take advantage and take all 3 points and at odds better than 2/1 I think this is the value bet of the weekend. ( which probably means a comfortable win for the hosts!) For the Chelle, with Defoe worrying most on this board - and with some justification- its van Aanholt going forward that I see as the potential danger as well as the weakness for Sunderland and assuming that Redmond is back this week i''ll take him to score the last goal
