1. Cant see why they dont give Steve MaClaren the job of manager. Ian Wright was spot on in being totally pi**ed at Sven last night when he said he just looked like someone observing from the FA while MaClaren was doing all the work on the touchline. At the end of the day though I cannot stand Erikson and would have pretty much any Englishman in the job over him.
2. I''d like to See Jarvis given a chance to prove he is worth all the hype of a few years ago. He is another like Brennan who has waited patiently in the wings and now deserves his chance.. Webteam- could you put a poll on the front page to replace the Stoke MOM poll? cheers
3. I heard Nicky Southall or Andy Roberts being mentioned somewhere
4.
SAY NO MORE??? SLOW, USELESS AND WORSE THAN FLEMING
Yes very good post. Lets drop our most promising youngster for a few years and the best defender we currently have at the club after one indifferent performance. Turnip
5. yeah he is involves with the academy at some sort of level. As far as Craig Fleming being a nice bloke, well i''ve heard otherwise from an ex employee of the front office at Carrow Road who said he was very abrupt and very ride. having said that I thought he and the team played a good game today, the only difference being Leeds took their chance and we missed all of ours.
6. Isnt Ashton represented by his Uncle? If so then there is a chance he would rather have him settled than chase the yankee dollar which is a good thing for us.
7. Also some rumours about Bentley returning. Not sure how reliable this site is though. Its a funny old game!
8. David T - Probably one of the best posts i''ve read on here in ages. (especially point 5:whistling
9. Yup, best wishes from Sheringham too Roy! Will certainly not be the same not having him covering the away matches this year but i guess he could not stand one more season of long road trips with Neil Adams!
10. Spot on Evil Monkey, spot on! - Everyone have different circumstances which prevent us from supporting our team to the degree which they may like- be it financial, family, work or health. But at the end of the day we have 1 thing in common- We all support the best football team in the world, so no matter how much we put in, who cares lets just get on and get behind the lads the best we can and look forward to the celebrations at City Hall in May when all city fans can come together once more!! - Wizard will you stop feeling so sorry for yourself. These sort of posts are really quite pathetic and it seems you are crying out for attention by posting them. I really am sorry you are unable to attend games now but as you say you have been supporting the Canaries for over 30 years so for you to think you are a ''2nd class supporter'' is absurd. Just carry on supporting the canaries the best way you can and you will do just fine.
11. I think you are a little too sensitive Mr St John. ''Free Speech'' means you have the right to speak your mind. So when I posted under your topic titled ''Rubbish'' and disagreed with your opinion I was exercising my own right to free speech. In every walk of life you get people with different views on the same subject. And on here that is what makes this forum great. If we all shared the same beliefs of our football team where would the fun be in discussing it? Just learn that you have your views and others will look sometimes disagree. You do not have to come on here with a topic telling us how this forum works as for the most part we know and do respect our right to ''Free Speech''
12. Crikey, I just spat my cornflakes over my computer monitor when I saw this headline!!! I think the club really have to just come out with a statement saying ''Ashton is not for sale AT ANY PRICE'' It is obvious that we stand more of a chance with Ashton in the side than if we accepted say 7/8 million as we would not be able to attract the kind of player with the same abilities as Ashton. Therefore by taking the action Palace took with AJ (minus the outrageous contract) everybody will no exactly what the situation is and to keep their grubby mits of our main asset!
13.
Morph, Saint canary,Fatman Fat and Tumbleweed, thank you for your positive feedback. I, like you all think it is important to at least ask the question, to realise that things may not be going the wa...
For crying out loud man, none of us who have argued with you always agree with what the manager says or does but surely it is bit to early to start posting topics titled rubbish after only 3 games. If in a month or so we are still in the same position not only will I eat my hat but I will join you when you will justifiably ask questions of whether some drastic action needs to be taken.
14. How many of you guys have actually seen this guy play on a regular basis? Is he consistent? is he injury prone? Is he versatile? Can he cross the ball on the move? Why have no big clubs snapped him up already? Is he really that great or did he just score 50 goals in a season from midfield on Championship Manager 5?
15. Forget last year..... this is a different kettle of fish altogether. We have a lot of new players who are still getting used to each other and at the end of the day Worthington has got experience in this division. His record in it since taking over speaks volumes 1 play off final and 1 championship in 3 years. Now i know that you cannot rest on your laurels for 1 second in football but I do just ask for another 5 matches for he and the players to prove to us that they can mount a serious title challenge. If in that time we are still where we are at right now then I will start to ask for answers. Until then, let them do their job and we will do ours by getting behind the team as we all know we can.
16. For gods sake get a grip man! You are sounding like a broken record now... I myself did doubt Worthy last season,  but if you really think about it who is there available at the moment who you would prefer and also who we could actually get in? This is Worthingtons team. He built it. Lets se where it gets us. I am sure come christmas you will see us at the top of the table.I wish people would please stop being so damn negative after just 3 games and i dont care if they were all at home. These games were never guaranteed victories and this league is by no means going to be the walk in the park that many people think it is.
17.
If things don''t improve in two more games Rob, I''m going to ''kick off'' mate!. Apart from the fact that the posters comments were not'' drivel'' as you called them, we cannot allow this farce any longer...
Im sorry Wizard/Pirate guy,  but the post I was referring to was complete drivel and to add to that so was your reply. I know that you are now unable to attend matches and I truly am sorry that is the case. I do not know how I would cope in the same circumstances. I can tell you though, and I am sure the majority of the posters on here would agree that while the final score in all three matches have remained the same, the performances have certainly improved. If City had played against Palace the way we played against Coventry in the opening game, we would have had our asses well and truly handed to us. It was great to see Safri back in the starting line up and I was also encouraged by Hughes'' performance after 2 indifferent displays where I and many others were questioning his purchase. Marney once again showed glimpses that he will become a major player for us this season- remember he has only been with us a little over a week! So I stand very much by my initial post and hope that I have answered your post as you requested by what I have said here. We are 3 games into the season. On paper yes we should have maybe had at least 7 points on the board, but as you know football is played on grass and not paper so give us a little more time before making such knee jerk reactions. If we are still without a victory after 5 more games then some questions may need to be answered. Thanks Rob
18. why dont you wait another 5 games before posting this kind of drivel. The team is still settling down and in my opinion we are seeing a gradual improvement in the performances. When we are able to field a consistent 11 then you make make your judgements.
19. This was a very difficult game to be introduced into at a late stage and be expected to make an impact. It was end to end stuff and for someone coming on cold it was always going to take him time to get up to speed with the players who were well used to the pace. Like with Hughes who has also been a target on here by a lot of supporters and Louis-Jean also I would ask fans to give them time to settle down and gel with the other players and then pass judgment after 7-10 games when I think we will see a true indication of how the team will perform going forward. Lets stop all this moaning now and that especially goes to all those who jeered at the final whistle. Seems to be becoming a habit in the South Stand where I sit and im getting a little tired of it.
20. 1 day to go now so 1 last bump to the top of the forum to see if there is any last minute interest! come on Webteam!! how about a joint effort?
21. Not at all impressed by Hughes so far. However it has only been 2 games so I am not going to write him off just yet. It just seems he is too much of a similarity to Gary Holt in that he puts in plenty of running but does not have much skill or passing ability. He really needs to calm his tackling down also. On a slippery playing surface it is important to at least try and keep your feet and he was diving in like a sunday league player after a night on the tiles and was very lucky not to receive a booking or worse. Safri, once again proved in the short time he was on the pitch that he should be our first choice in midfield. He is so calm on the ball and just keeps things nicely ticking over. With Jarrett, who i thought was very impressive, doing the running I think we have finally found a competitive and combative midfield. We just have to try and keep both of them fit!! Lets just see how the next couple of games go. It would have been nice to open up with a couple of wins and of course on paper we should have, but the game is played on grass not paper and there is a hell of a long way to go so lets just enjoy the ride of what i''m sure will be an enjoyable & fruitful season.
22. it was crap whatever it was. sounded more like a swarm of bees than anything else. I also think we should have Vertigo by U2 or Vegas 2 Times by Stereophonics
23. Thought id just bring this one back to the top to see if anyone else who hadnt spotted the post fancied signing up. Not long to go now....
24. Everyone is gonna come to pretty much the same conclusion. Basically we need to get Shackell, Jarrett and Safri into the starting 11 at the earliest opportunity. Enough said!
