1. Well I thought it was funny. Almost as funny as his performance...what a tool.
2. Simon I think it is time to simply ignore these purile ramblings. The OP is about a third rate (at best) footballer saying he doesnt want to play for a larger club. Good luck to him. We now find ourselves arguing with some sort of Billy Liar character about knocking on a bedroom door. Imagine if Camel actually has a wife? It''s her we should feel sorry for. Let''s have a whip round and buy her some chocolates. Or a single airline ticket to Bolivia.
3. He was one of the shaven headed full backs that didn''t get near a City player all afternoon as far as I can remember. Well not until he Kung Fu kicked Wesley. I think we can live without him.
4. lived in Brighton when at Uni. London by the Sea. Absolutely cracking place. Was looking forward to going to the game with my son, but 750 tickets? Are you sure this is all we are getting? What a pain.
5. blahblahblah wrote the following post at 20/01/2010 5:20 PM:I''m sure that Mr Doncaster is a competent administrator, but PT Barnum he is not.  This is the sound of someone horribly out of his depth. Agree Blah x 3. Interesting how the good things that happened at City (season ticket sales) are now "We". Presumably relegation, massive debt and ludicrous management appointments don''t fall into this catagory.
6. I am a qualified Ref Cam. God Bless I.S. for actually getting the point of the post. My father is an assessor. Thanks for the advice.
7. At the time this was attributed to Andrew Cullen the then FD , who was the brains behind the changes in sending renewal notices out to season ticket holders ie when we were doing well. Don''t think Donkey had much to do with it.
8. Hasn''t anyone read my bit about the ref being MIKE DEAN? The same ref that made Frank Lampard retake the pen against West Ham WAS THE REF ON SATURDAY. Sorry but thought it was an interesting point. I should have talked about make-believe offside shouts ...would have got a bigger reaction . Or called the original poster a C***.
9. Aside from all of the arguing, the original post is suggesting, and is correct having watched the replay, that a Colchester defender is encrouching in the box BEFORE Wes kicks the ball , and as the pen is missed it should be retaken. Recently Frank Lampard was made to take a penalty three times due to this, for Chelsea against West Ham. And guess who the referee was? A certain Mr Mike Dean.....

11. Wasn''t the Churchmans stand where all the old ladies sat? I think it is mainly empty now along with most of the ground. The hard end is the North Stand. I only know this because I remember us running it one Boxing Day. Happy Memories.
12. cityangel Dont think he goes to many of their home games anyway as he said he often works at weekends. I think he is "Working Late" tonight Angel.
13. Mello I''ve no idea how old you are but if like me you remember Carry On Films I must salute your sense of humour. V good.
14. Well Done Colufan. I''m sure I speak for most City fans when I say we have never had any problems with you lot before, and in fact see our clubs as kindred spirits in some ways, with our mutual loathing of the Binners. That said Mr Cow "n" gate has resembled a total arse over the last few weeks and even contined his nonsense on Football Focus which I have just watched on Sky Planner having watched the game today from your West Stand (block K) . Good luck, I have a lot of time for Aidy having spoken to him several times at Colney when he ran our under 18''s. I hope you get up through the play offs.
15. Did you see "Towel-Gate" in the first half? We had a throw on and Holt goes to demand the towel from the ball boy (who was , it has to be said , about 6 ft 3!) , makes Juke box wipe the ball then throws said towel on the ground. Priceless. Mess with Holt at your peril.
16. Cam needs to write to his MP about the complete failure of Colchester today on and off the pitch. An hour to get out of the car park? Police not doing anything? Turnstile debacle? All cobblers. And as for the team....
17.
From 9th October, in the Capital Canaries Column On the 8th August my daughter Gemma and I skulked out of Carrow Road in the 87th minute of a football match that was possibly the lowest point ever in the history of Norwich City FC. It was a horrific display against Colchester and the worst home defeat I could remember in my forty years of following City. What a contrast to the four nil victory against Barnsley in January which at the time, was seen as a great result. Carrow Road was packed to the rafters and the post Roeder feel good factor was at an all time high. What could have possibly gone wrong that day? With the benefit of a huge dollop of lovely old hindsight, and in true Dr Pepper style, the worst thing that could have happened was a four nil victory. The assistant kit-man who was fired by Roeder could have picked the team that day, and whatever eleven was selected would have stuffed Barnsley. Gunny got the job mainly on the strength of that one result, much to the surprise of everyone, bar Gemma. The opposite is true with regard to our defeat by Colchester on the opening day of the season. Although it certainly didn''t feel so at the time, with the benefit of hindsight, it was the best thing that could have happened. If we had not have suffered that appalling defeat, City could well have meandered though the opening games tactically bereft, as we were last season, picking up a point here and a win there. We may have started the League 1 campaign with say, a win, two draws and three defeats in the first six matches. We may have been near the foot of the table, with mumblings of discontent from the City stand and a poisonous atmosphere in the more vocal areas of the ground. With but five points from six games, and City back in relegation form, maybe the Board would have been forced into a decision as regards a change of manager. Once the new man was in place, would the season have been recoverable from there? Would we have even able to get our preferred new man? Of course none of the above happened, but it may well have occurred were it not for the decisive intervention of David McNally. Nearly four years ago, I wrote an article for the Capital Canaries Column in the PinkUn about the value of shares in Worthington PLC. City had just lost 0-1 to Millwall who had won for the first time in ten home games at the New Den. We had also been badly beaten by QPR and Luton, and Carrow Road had been like a morgue for the games against Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff. It was obvious to all bar those in charge that Worthington''s time was up at Norwich. My advice to the Norwich City Board in November 2005 was as follows:- “Sell your investments in Worthington PLC immediately. It will only cost you a million pounds to get out now, but it will cost your two million in six months time”. But what would they say to that? I would argue that it was a good deal, but would our rich investors like admitting they were wrong and waving good-bye to a million pounds? Or would they wait, more in hope than expectation that things would pick up, and risk yet more money by hanging on? My advice was acted on, but unfortunately a year later than it should have been, and this procrastination cost Norwich City FC millions of pounds as the majority year of our Premiership parachute payments were squandered. But this time our Chief Executive acted decisively and in complete contrast to his predecessor. He had already seen enough in one game. Yes the sacking was brutal, but there was no other way. It was a cruel end for a Norwich legend. But it would have been much more cruel to Gunny to have given him more time. Those supporters who think Gunny was treated badly should ask of the reasons why a complete novice at management was appointed to a job that he was not cut out to do. Those close to him should ask themselves why they thought he was qualified for the job, and why on earth they pushed him into doing it. I''ll finish up with another quote from November 2005 “.....The worst enemy of an investor is emotion. Take the emotion of out it, make decisions that are based on cold-hearted facts and you will see a winner. The hardest decision to make is when an investment goes pear-shaped and it is time to quit and get out. Knowing when to cut your losses is more important than knowing when to sell near the top of the market. The reason - because it is a tougher decision...” David McNally recognised that it was time to cut our losses. Whoever it was that didn''t say, “Thanks and goodbye Gunny”, in May let emotion get in the way of the most important decision that the football club needed to make. Perhaps they should consider where the football team was at 4.55pm on 8th August. They should then look at where football team is now. http://www.pinkun.com/content/pinkun/blogs/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=CapitalCanaries&tBrand=PINKUNOnline&tCategory=CapitalCanaries&itemid=NOED12%20Oct%202009%2011%3A46%3A57%3A977
Some good points, and pretty much agree with all of it including the Worthington stuff. Looking at the thread the only answer is where would we be without Hula Hoop, Doc and Rusty. Not second methinks.
18.
What a splendid fellow. Maybe some people could learn something from this
Last May I played at Carrow Road against Gossy, and he is indeed a top guy, a very committed NCFC supporter and was a great ambassador. I''m not at all sure that I would class him and his role in the community as "dead wood". It''s very important to have an articulate, available face to the Club , and as one of the Club sponsors Im not certain this is the right way forward. No idea how much Gossy earned but sugest it wasn''t "Doncaster-esque" money, and the value for money in my mind is not in question. Good Luck Gossy.
19.
Totally agree. The man was a disaster and why does he keep spouting on about it? If he was so damn good why didn''t another club recognise his unique talents?
That''s a bit unfair Bury. He was snapped up by those blokes that sell the Mobile Phones? You know , the one that had a shop in Bury but is closed down now.
20.

Thanks for the info. Please do go to ground and slide in Hoolan will have field day sipping round your players diving in! On the otherhand a slick surface could mean tugboat Nelson is even more exposed as the lower league donkey that he is!
It will be interesting to see how things go, both teams have matchwinners and players who can stop people playing so I guess it depends on the tactics used.
If I was Aidy it would be simple. Lamp it forward in the channels for Lisbie et al to run after (and turn Doc and Nelson round) and kick Wesley. Do this and you lot have more than a sniff. Try and play football and we will murder you.
21. Canaries Utd hosted by Matt Holland... be interesting to hear his views, i wonder if his number two will be Mr Brazil???   God I hope not. Prat Holland and his hideous Hamster Face will be too much for me. Complete tool.
