1.
When we are complacent and expecting a 5-0 win is normally when we lose. Palace for example, their first away win in a long time. Hope we go out like any normal game.
The earlier comments about Bradford City in 1976 seemed rather appropriate after 83 minutes last night ....
 2.

We shouldn''t take anything for granted
After watching City for over 30 years you learn not to take anything for granted [:)]
I''m still scarred mentally from watching Bradford City (who I think were in the 4th division at the time) knock us out of the FA cup in 1976. I''ve never taken anything for granted NCFC-wise since! [:)]
 3.
No No No Dan You must have got that wrong. We are a quiet bunch. Just wait for a while and the usual lot will be on here. We''ve already had Zema Ankfest on yesterday quick off the mark!! Well done to all the yellas yesterday.
Frankly I’m appalled Bury. We have plummeted down to 5th. The fans are “absolutely pathetic” a quote from the Reading game, dropped 2 points (against Leeds) , and if we go up will immediately become bankrupt because that’s what Portsmouth did. Oh and Lambert is a muppet for selling Horatio. Dark days , Bury. Dark days indeed.   PS more seriously good post Dan. [:)]
 4. http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20100801/section-6-players_2293633_2125731#41 This is the definitive answer...trouble is I CBA to read it all!. What we can , or cannot, do is in there somewhere. Look at clause 50 Temporary Loan Signings and 51 Standard, Emergency and Youth Loans. Also there is a summary on the BBC website albeit from last year which says Football League clubs can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four players over 23 during any season on a standard loan, though no more than two of the latter can be signed from a single club. These standard loans are all done and dusted before the transfer deadline and run from window to window. - Players on standard loans, can not be recalled by their clubs during the loan period. - However, Football League clubs can sign players on an emergency loan for a maximum of 93 days (minimum of 28 days). - An emergency loan cannot happen until seven days until after each transfer window has closed and are not allowed after the fourth Thursday in November during the first half of the season until the window reopens and after the fourth Thursday in March until the end of the campaign. - A maximum of 5 loan players (either standard or emergency) can be named in the first team matchday squad. - There is no limit on the number of emergency loans   Happy reading! [:S]
 5.
You mean RICE?? Thats the way I was always taught it on my Lifeguard training?? I''m sure however they all mean the same thing haha.
Nah..you''ve got to Rest AFTER you have got the frozen peas out of the freezer ha ha ...either way not sure going shopping was part of the recovery! [:D]
 6.

Like others have said, I don''t hate Leeds. They are our rivals for the last couple of seasons but it is not as if there is a massive history between our clubs. The whole "lets all hate Leeds" mentality just feeds their own media-fuelled sense of self importance.
Some genuinely fair responses here, but that last line is bang on. We''re called arrogant and what not, but a lot of fans (not just norwich) do hate us and talk about us, which then justifies our "fame". We''ve probably made a lot of our "fame" and "importance" from others with the hating and the attention they gives us. I wouldn''t call you rivals in the traditional sense, but its quite obvious that we''ve been vying for the same thing in the last year, and as such are rivals for promotion.
And while we''re at it Essexwhite I think we have produced two terrific games this season, (the home game was one of the best matches I''ve seen this year) , and the two managers seem to have a lot of respect for each other. So all good.
 7.
He is out for several weeks, injured hamstring
Anyone that has injured their Hamstring will know that you dont go shopping within a few days of tearing it; anyone heard of ICER? "Fred" I think might have the whiff of Bin around him....
 8. I love this. CM has been rubbish all year (according to some) and for most of last year too (according to others). Now he will be a big loss.
 9.
Martin injured as he was in tesco''s tonight at harford with mrs and baby and not gone to Leeds on coach. Heard a rumour he was out injured and this has proved it. Gives others chance tomorrow now either Jackson or Wilbraham
Well UJAMIAJ was right.
 10. I don''t know about the biggest cheat, but the smallest was probabaly Maradona? About 5ft 6 I reckon? And a word for Norwich White, the hitchhiking 50 year old Leeds fan with so many children that he has forgotten how to spell Larimer/Lorrimar/Lawrimer...Peter washisface. I wonder if his other pretend children are called Betty Bremner and Aled Clarke. Oh and Norman Huntingdon.
 11.
Was working with a couple of binners for part of this afternoon. Reasonable blokes with little of the usual ''gawd blimey we''re all cockneez dahn ''ere, innit'' or the endless drivel about grandads medals. However they are convinced that much of our ''success'' is down to cheating. Whe I asked them how many City games they had seen the reply was they didn''t need to see the games, they had read the reports of other clubs fans. Holt constantly dives to get penalties. Without those penalties we would be way outside of the play off spots ! City players surrounded the ref to get the Reading player sent off (I thought they surrounded the player) - as they have done all season (I did think to ask why did they not do it at every foul, the opposition would soon be down to 7 men) It got better. As we score so many late goals one of our fans even threw a lighter at a player so that extra time would have to be added on. We get far more local TV coverage because Delia and Stephen Fry are ''telly people'' - how that helps our cheating I don''t know. We have avoided going into administration because the rules have changed on mortgae repossesions and this now helps us. I kid you not ! I can only suppose it gives them some kind of comfort, something to cling onto as an reason for our success and an explantion for their slow demise. Oh, and the return match at poorman road will be a playoff decider !
I fear that I spend a little more time with our Bin-like Chums City1st and I must say that the "Holt is a cheat" routine has been in full swing for several months. Indeed, not only is GH a cheat, he is also fat, thick, useless and, oh yes, fat. In fact he is so Fat , useless, etc etc that he would never get into the ITFC team for only Connaught Wickhead can fill the shoes of that other "Bin-Boy Wonder" Dean Bowthorpe (what ever happened to him?). It is a shame that they have seen through our ruse of deliberately throwing things at the linesman to buy us just enough time to sneakily score and then run into the changing rooms and lock the door. Damn tricky things, binners.
 12.
Totally agree with that too Mr Cluckbert. I am in a very agreeable mood, must let the wife know!
Ah ha Mr Yellow, I do hope that Mrs Yellow enjoys your agreeabilty, and what larks to see you welcomed onto the board as "new blood" . All seems to be well this evening, Cluckbert is up to his mischief as usual , the little tinker. City1st has been mixing it with binners again (with hilarious consequences), and I still think that we are watching some of the most entertaining football seen at FCR for many a while. Luckily for us, and for our delight and delectation, we have those who described saturdays crowd as "absolutely pathetic", whilst others described a performance that yielded 14 shots on target as "average" . I can only surmise that neither esteemed poster was present in the days of Agent Hamilton when even I had to take Mrs Beard to Southwold to avoid anything to do with NCFC, and hand my season ticket to ne''er-do-wells until I was ready to come back. Yes I agree wholeheartedly with the OP , and I must urge my fellow canaries to enjoy this to excess.
 13.
Very clever piece of reverse psychology from Federici, knowing full well that booing Harte will only spur him to raise his game!   Also the statement:    “I know it’s a good atmosphere at Carrow Road and their fans are brilliant. They always have a good crowd and obviously they’ve got a lot of support at the minute because they are doing well”    Well clever you , check your facts and look at the last few years average attendance’s , we don’t need a good run or even success to fill the stadium week in week out.   Unlike the Madejski
I have a feeling that this might have backfired on Mr Harte. I thought in the first 20 minutes he looked as though it all got to him. Very poor passes , a free kick that sailed into the Barclay, and whilst he improved a bit, he then tried the old Andy Hughes trick of trying to get involved with every fracas and got some real short change from the City players particularly Ward. The icing on the cake was of course Holty getting to the ball first to score, leaving that nice Mr Harte in a heap.  All very pleasing.
 14.
Got to say except for just after half time and towards the end ( last 5 mins + stoppage time ) atmosphere was absoloutely pathetic.
Absolutely Pathetic? Really? Could you see from your seat at Portman Road?
 15.

Attended above event this morning. Nothing earth shattering but nice to listen to a more relaxed and forthcoming lambert than we hear post match. Nice anecdotes, very complimentary of fans, Lampards goal was never over the line (and other good natured anti-English bias) and you got a real appreciation of how his time with Borussia Dortmund has helped shape him as a manager with the experience of having played there. When asked who in the team should go on Mastermind his answers were - Surman is like Trigger from Fools and Horses, Ruddy might be good if he talked and Crofts was too ugly. The upshot was that none of them would be any good. Well done to Chris Goreham for his questioning. All in all an excellent way to spend an early morning. Oh and he will only spend the 2 million if it is right for the club. Looks for all his previous teams results except Colchester!
Saw that advertised for £30 so what did you get for breakfast and what time does it start and finish please?
I was there too, and Irn Bru''s description is spot on. Very enjoyable and my opinion of PL (which was pretty high anyway) increased even further. To answer your question CA we had toast and croisants, followed by a full english, started at 7:30 for 8am, and then PL spoke from 9 to 10am. Good organisation, PL seemed happy to answer anything, and great banter between Goreham and PL. The Dortmund stuff was fascinating. PL described the players outlook in Germany, in contrast to British footballers as "a country mile" apart. German players are disciplined, regarded each game the same (as a "job") and of course the partying aspect is totally different. If you get a moment look at the team that PL was in that won the Champions League and you will see the type of company he kept at the time. Also spoke very highly of Martin O''Neil. I get the feeling he uses a lot of the motivation techniques that O''Neil uses.
 16.
I listened yesterday, probably for the first time in 2 or 3 years and had to turn it off, where the hell do they get these people, its embarrassing and cringeworthy.
There used to be a bloke called Tony, who regularly called. I honestly think he was related to the producer. He never went to the games, got about 20 minutes on air and would end up interviewing Adams...(tell me Naaaail, as an ex pro, what did you most enjoy as you pre match meal?).
 17.
Jackett can just go to Blazers.....
I remember Jackett as a player. He was a Donkey [;)]
 18.

If games lasted 100 minutes would we be top? Also if games lasted 80 minutes would people start leaving after 70?
When we scored our winning goal last night I was very tempted to shout down the gangway stairs. "sorry you can''t come back up to watch the celebrations" or similar I nearly did
Hey I''m definately in the " I pay the money so I can leave when I want" camp and have in the past left early. But as you say anyone leaving early at the moment must be nuts. I was in the corporate area last night and the place was emptying when we scored the winner. Bonkers
 19.

we would be 16th in the league.
Nice to see that our education system is producing such logical thinking. Thank goodness the fees are going up to prevent such naturally gifted dustmen wasting our tax money.
yeah because this country doesn''t need surveyors does it. what a waste. oh by the way i''m averaging a first before you question my intelligence again.
Ha ha for goodness sake Newcastle Uni you have a bit to learn if you are going to the take the bait so easily. Last time I was chatting to Cluck he had personally experienced the Irish Potato Famine. Stick with your studies my friend and don''t take issue with the Clinically harmless.
 20.
Have to agree with most of what Al Catraz says....I feel some great points are made and I''d agree about PL''s transfer dealings with strikers. Where he has made some superb signings in defence and midfield I am not convinced with his signatures up front. Oli is out on loan, Mcnamee doesn''t deliver and Jackson hasn''t shown much. I feel though Nelson was as much a business decision rather than anything else. However it is a shame about being the only central defender able to score goals in the oppostions penalty box. (yes Barnett has got one but he gets into good enough positions to warrant a better return) I hope we do something in the loan market but am not convinced.
I think we need to bear in mind exactly what we are looking for. People keep describing a "proven" goal scorer. But facts tell us that anyone "proven" is attracting massive amounts of money (Bent, Torres) and that the rest of us scrap around looking for people that have a decent scoring record , but usually in a division or two lower than we currently play in. Jackson, Johnson and Wilbreham all fall into this, Cody too so what we are actually doing is buying what we can and hoping the PL can work him magic on them. Last year we had two proven goalscorers, Chris Martin and Wes, that haven''t scored as many this year. We also had Oli who got a few very important goals. Tough to find them guys, however much we want to ....
 21.
The suspensions changed from 5 yellows to 10 yellows, I believe on the 1st Jan. So he has a few more dirty tackles left in his locker before he gets a ban! However as he had already been sent off, I don''t know whether it would result in a one or two match ban should he reach 10 yellows.
Thanks Largey. It seems that Crofts has being walking the tightrope for quite a while - well before the Binners game - so good news if he now has a bit more "flexibilty" (I see Holt has 6 too) . Cheers.
 22. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere on here but can someone enlighten me on the current situation with Crofts and suspension? The BBC says he picked up a Yellow which the official Club website says is the 6th of the season. What are the implications of this?
 23.
Why don''t one of you ring up and show people how it should be done then?
What an excellent idea CA.
 24.
lol we need an earnshaw person
"The Boys didnt turn up. We don''t score enough goals." And that''s with us second in the league. Imagine if we were third....
