1. Any reason you''re sure Lavanche or just a gut feeling?
2. I''ve been derided all week for saying Brazil will take this one. I stand by my prediction.
3. Just remembered Helveg also got Damian Johnson sent off in the first half of the last home game of the season vs Birmingham. Dived when Johnson threw a punch, even though he wasn''t within 6 foot of him. Ref indicated he''d seen DJ land the punch and duly sent him off. Was an outrageous decision.
4.
Helveg was not a failure. Decent player, misused.
Seconded. Wasnt he also injured for a large part of the campaign? Might be my memory playing tricks on me, but wasn''t he a vital part of the team during the second half of the season when we nearly pulled it off? Seem to remember a wonderful free kick delivery assist for Ashton''s header vs Newcastle (The Safri screamer game. Kluivert equalised in 90th min and we won it 2-1 with a winner deep into injury time)
5.
I''d be happy with that going into the season... Ruddy/Bunn Martin/Whittaker Turner/Bennett Bassong/Ayala Garrido/Olsson Fer/Howson Johnson/Tettey Snodgrass/Bennett Hoolahan/Toivenen Pilkington/Redmond Holt/Becchio Van Wolfswinkel/Hooper
I''m sure most of us would be happy if we were allowed 12 players on the pitch...
6. If I recall correctly they were the first media outlet that reported Van Foxy tadger signing for us so there could be something in this. Interesting point about Toivonen too. I think this move may suit all parties if it were to come to fruition. Very good player too. Not sure on general reliability of Voetbal but as I say, Im sure they were the ones who broke the RvW story.
7. Wiz said: I find going to ''full screen mode'' blocks most ads for me kick it off. Indeed it does Wiz, but sometimes you have those annoying ads where u have to click through them or when u click out of full screen mode, you have to click through them to get back onto it..... I cant imagine what the internet looks like with ads anymore as adblock eliminates 99.9% of them!!
8.
I''d love to know where the posters above have found decent streams in the past. My experience of Firstrow etc is an ultra low quality, blocky picutre which pauses and buffers at least twice a minute. That''s in pubs with high speed broadband, and at home. Then there''s the moral issue of streaming sites. They are technically pirating football broadcasts. I wouldn''t miss these horrible sites, chock full of spyware, pornographic advertising and viruses. I''d rather actually go to the game or watch an official HD broadcast in a pub.
There''s a million different sites. FirstRow is certainly not the best for quality, but it is reliable. I will PM a few sites through to you in a minute. I think everyone would rather be at the games but if you''re only getting low quality streams, then you''re doing it wrong. Google search the word "Adblock" followed by the name of your web browser, install the add on and you will never see any of the adverts you mention at all. You may find that sometimes you need to disable the adblock temporarily to get rid of an ad or two as u sometimes cant see the close button on the ones on streaming sites.
9. The solution is actually pretty obvious imo. Its another facet of NFL and NBA coverage that''s slightly different to game pass. Broadcast the games free of charge as long as the stadium is a sellout. That way the clubs don''t lose out due to increased coverage, the fans get to see their team etc. It isn''t perfect as some clubs don''t sell out every game, however it is a pretty good solution for the clubs that do. I don''t have an answer to how u would address the clubs not selling out as it seems unfair for fans of poorly supported clubs like Wigan but iv been at work all day and can''t be bothered to think up a solution to that bit. Maybe someone with a fresh mind could think of a way. Clubs could even make more money from the system by charging small fees to watch the broadcast.
10. Everton were solid favourites to sign him IIRC
11. Yup, agreed with the others, won''t make any difference whatsoever.MyP2P was shut down. Wiziwig popped up shortly after with an identical site layout, and is still going strong. Waste of time and effort by the Premier league, there''s a million and one ways to get round ISP blocks anyway.
12. I''m the epitome of the binge drinking generation Im afraid. I NEVER have a drink unless Im going out, but when I do, I get sloshed. Very rarely will I drink unless it''s a big night, even if I go to the pub with mates, I''ll normally just have a coke unless we''re making a night of it and going out on the town.Wouldn''t even occur to me to get some beers in at home unless there''s an occasion or celebration to go with them. Last time I had a drink at home was January, watching the Redskins in the NFL playoffs for the first time since I started supporting them, did half a bottle of Southern Comfort during the game. When I go out on the town, I''ll normally do a bottle of cheap white wine (Jacob''s Creek California is my preference but I''m not fussy) before we leave the house - tastes nasty but gets me smashed, and then wshen we go out I''ll drink whatever I feel like drinking at the time, I don''t really have a "go to" drink of choice.
13. If you are able to make copies of the games, then I would be happy to send you some cash. Looks like it''s only possible to buy the away leg online.
14. http://www.football-oranje.com/toivonen-i-know-nothing-about-norwich-city/Says he will be reflecting on his future today, he hasn''t watched any prem games last season and he doesn''t like hoofball. On paper we look pretty good if he hasn''t watched us i guess. 11th in the Prem, RVW incoming, beat united, city and arsenal etcSorry to start a new thread but thought the new info was worthy of one and the other has dropped down the page.
15.

Still not convinced that hooper is good enough for the prem, but there is only one way to find out.  He wasnt even the best striker in the SPL last year but if he is available for that sort of fee, then sign him up.  If we have indeed made a bid for Toivonen, then I wonder if our interest has cooled.  We have RVW, Holt, Bechio and possibly Toivonen.  do we need 5 strikers vying for 2 places?
Says who? You, I suppose!
To be fair... the stats back it upTop scorersNameGoalsMichael Higdon26William McKay23Leigh Griffiths23Niall McGinn20Gary Hooper19
16. Im a childcare officer in a children''s home. Have an assessment day next week for a scheme to convert my degree into a Post-grad in Social work so I''d be a qualified social worker if I get that.
17. I do wonder if we may one of the clubs involved in the bidding for Raoul Loe from Osasuna. Seems to fit the bill, available on the cheap, good age, powerful CM and we have the Bassong/Cameroon connection.... If we are in for Toivonen then I can''t see us shelling out huge amounts for a CM too as we will want to keep some powder dry for January. The fact McNally hasn''t denied Toivonen says to me we probably are in for him as he normally moves to quash speculation on Twitter. One news source reported we''d given them a "no comment, we don''t comment on transfer speculation" re: Toivonen. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/8771043/Transfer-news-Osasuna-midfielder-Raoul-Loe-wanted-by-several-English-clubs
18.
But he plys his trade up front.
No he doesn''t. He can play as an AM or up front. I think he''s better played in the Hoolahan spot myself but that''s only speaking from limited viewings of him.
19. I can only assume the squares in his tweet are an attempt to revive 90s classic gameshow "Wheel of Fortune". The answer, revealed as the squares are rotated round to complete the phrase: I cant believe you left Leeds for... the 11th best team in England.
20. Assou Ekotto is on his way to Fenerbahce (Champions League football and 15% top tax rate make that one particularly attractive). It''s pretty much a done deal as far as I understand from the Turkish media and a few people I know in the Fener fans with a good inside track on club business. Not been announced to the stock exchange yet though as far as i know so can''t be done yet (Turkish clubs listed on the stock exchange like Fener and Galla have to announce their business on the stock exchange, and they normally do it pretty soon after deals are completed, within an hour or so.)
21.
Just a suggestion but with the priority to strengthen other areas and the fact that we have full backs that can play centre back, should we bring Adel Gafaiti into the first team, he seems highly rated and it would be good for him, he''d be fourth choice, realistically 5th with RM covering because is it worth bringing in a new centre back to be 4th choice as Ryan Bennett has established himself as a strong 3rd choice.
I agree with this. Gafaiti looks like he could be the real deal. Probably needs a loan next year unless CH thinks he is ready to step up now. He seems to be attracting a lot of interest from other clubs too - also wouldn''t count in our 25.
22. Roswell was injured all season wasn''t he? Sinclair is a good shout.
23. And city 1st, its more than idle gossip that villa have bid, Montpellier chairman said yesterday 5 clubs have put in bids that have been accepted and up to the player where he wants to go. Chairman named all 5 clubs and one was villa.
