  1. He had an issue with the management of our club (or part of it anyway), so got his move to a 'brighter and better place' as was his wish. However, his mistake was making a public show of defiance, a sort of 'up yours' when he returned and won here. This was of course only towards the club management but he should have known his antics would have a deeper impact on the support. Especially as they were relatively 'neutral' towards him that day. No one particularly gave him too much grief. Truthfully, I do not think he really gives a monkeys about NCFC, or Colchester or any of the clubs he was successful at. Otherwise he perhaps would have behaved differently when returning to each, despite orchestrating a win? Ho hum......
  2. A teacher in Ipswich asks her students “What football team do you support. Raise you hand if it’s Ipswich?” Everyone in the class raise their hand except one boy. “John what team do you support?” “Norwich City.” The boy replies. “Why” said the teacher. “Because my Mum and Dad do, so do I.” “Well you don’t have to copy your Mum and Dad. What if your Mum was a prostitue and your Dad was a smackhead?” “Then I’d support ipswich like the rest of you dim scruffy gits”
  3. Yes quite. However, apparently the manager of our next opponents doesn't know much about our team...….
  4. I suspect the worry that emanates is in part due to the thought of losing this match and then possibly not having the chance to rectify it in the next season or so. Of course, on paper it is probably our easiest game. Not sure it will be though. Early City goal please.
  5. The original nickname aptly applied following Lovejoys discovery, was due to all things bins, items of rubbish from bins ergo 'binners' . Not because your cr7p team should be refuse collectors, or are as honourable as binmen. 'Binners' is just an adaptation of that. Clearer?
  6. Be funny to see it on the screen at CR Sunday.
  7. 15 mil max for Aarons if not promoted, and we would take it. I suspect IF we do get promoted there will still be tempting offers, but the chance of first team football may just persuade all interested parties to stay for the season, who knows? As it is I'd rather we have this abundance of talent that has others taking note, than not.
  8. Update version of the Farke rap Funny everytime
  9. I remember there were a lot of people who were not happy how Mike Walker left us. However, I agree it is the manner in which he (PL) has behaved since first going to villa that annoys. John Bond (if I recollect correctly) Saw Man City as a big jump and perhaps it was. I recall him coming back for some of our players which was disappointing but inevitable. Bond was a big character in football at a time when social media was nil.
  10. It's definitely about him and he's probably loving the attention, highlighting his profile. If they scrape a lucky draw on Sunday, his head will be so large he will be leaving Carrow Rd via the Barclay/South Stand gate! It would be pure class if we win and only cheer on our team, ignoring him.
  11. And it should not go away. Mings is 25 years old? He has another 8-10 years of stamping on heads if not swiftly and meaningfully dealt with. Next time it may be Harry (or another darling of the game). There would be action then!
  12. He shows he shortens his stride whilst at full pelt to stamp on Nelson's face. Deliberate action, when easier to avoid. As mentioned, if the victim here was a Mr H Kane, the internet would have blown up!
  13. It was not actually a headbutt was it? The antics before the penalty could have us sitting two points clear! EVERY KEEPER IN THE LEAGUE HAS A MISTAKE IN HIM ! Our keeper has bags of experience, tons of presence, does not go missing, keeps his nerves in check and makes good saves at this level at this time. Now is NOT the time to criticise our team, WHICH IS SAT AT THE HEAD OF THE TABLE !
  14. I'm not sure we have underestimated anyone this season. DF appears to be the opposite and long may it continue. He is polite in his assessments of the opposition pre game, and as a club we tend now, not to get involved in derby hype. Early goals for City, then control the game out will do nicely.
  15. When Leitner returns ready for inclusion and fully fit, which will be soon hopefully, it will be a great problem for DF to have. Vrancic has developed from having good spells in games to dominating them and long may it continue. I can not see Leitner getting straight back in, but what a player to have ready if needed.
  16. I'm hoping he starts with the same starting 11 as he did at leeds. That will hand us the home support, an opportunity to give them a well deserved, loud, raucous rousing cheer when they enter the cauldron. Followed by an even louder 'OTBC' with flags and scarves flying. Show that lot what real support is. All on the small screen.
  17. IF leeds hit their form again we will have a real battle on our hands. There is no question they are a good team when on form. The next 2-4 games for the top 6 will be very interesting and to come out on top again, even with a bit of daylight would be great for us. It could happen, considering the fixtures. I think Bristol City may have left it a bit too late to challenge for the top two?
  18. I agree totally, and have mentioned the same. It will perhaps take a few soulless years in the wilderness of the old Div 3, or even more in this league, before their support start to look forward rather than back to their past. Their aging support base moves with the club and there appears to be very little (if none) incremental growth in younger/new support. Hence it will take a few more years yet for them to finally give up the ghost and rally for the future. It may never happen.
  19. It would be a good spectacle and probably quite impactive to both teams and supporters, if the whole ground (or at least the noisy bits) just supported the team loudly and passionately throughout the game. However, there will be a large anti Lambert contingent singing particular songs that have swirled around Carrow Rd for the last few weeks and in a sense, who can blame them? What there is no doubt of is that the atmosphere, despite the stupid start times, will be pumped up and should be electric. Bring it on!
