1. Mick Dennis may be a Norwich fan, but is a complete lackey to the board.  I stopped bothering reading the drivel himself and Waghorn write on their website because its so hideously biased and with no balance whatsoever.  He''ll be dreading the day Delia and co leave - no more free lunches eh Mick?
2.
John Deehan surely????!!
John Deehan was a funny one.  He was a great coach but never seemed suited to management and bar a brief successful spell at Wigan, never really settled in the hot seat anywhere else (although he''s still been coaching lots).  Dixie looked uncomfortable in the spotlight and even had a dig at the fans after one match. His record was pretty poor, but the circumstances at the club were extreme at the time.  It was the first time in years that an appointment ''from within'' didn''t work, and it found Robert Chase out.  Stringer and Walker worked miracles despite selling players - Deehan couldn''t and we paid the price. Wouldn''t say he''s the most unpopular manager though, despite all that.
3. Keepers - Marshall good, although still young and error prone.  No idea about the rest, so cover is potentially a risk. Full backs - Poor all round and a serious weak link.  Otsemobor has shown why he''s not playing at a higher level, and the two loanees have slipped in confidence and form.   Drury has the experience, but hasn''t performed or been fully fit for several years now Centre Backs - Doc is okay to get us out of a scrap and to mid-table.  Grounds ditto, but may not be here long.  Stef is obviously injured by I''m not sure he was consistent enough anyway. Midfield - Clingan, Russell and Pattison are all a bit similar, but Sammy is the better option.  We could possibly lose one of the other two.  Fotheringham has offered nothing all season and wouldn''t be unhappy to see him go.  Hoolahoop is enigmatic and I hope there''s more to come here.  Bell is unfit and out of form, while Crofty looks up for the fight. Strikers - Very weak.  Curo is not up to it, Lupoli is decent enough in spells and Cort is not going to be fully fit for a while.  The kids are not ready and I don''t think Martin is going to make it here. I don''t think its a great squad and an awful lot of work needs doing by the new boss if we are to stay up.  There''s a lot of players unfit, out of form, low on confidence and not good enough.  However, there are a few decent players who, with some additions to the squad, may get us out of trouble - but not by much.
4.
Worthy was quite detested was he not?
By the end, yes.  History will be kinder to Nigel due to his efforts in getting us to the play-offs, then promotion.  Not sure history will be kind to Glenn though.
5. So that''s that then.  I got so much stick when Roeder was appointed (not on this board by the way), because I said a few choice words and knew what a nightmare he had been everywhere else.   I was mortified at this man taking charge of our team.  However, I buttoned my lip, stuck by him and watched him clear out the dead wood. I was impressed with what he had to say and thought he was the person to take us places. We flew up the table, but I was happy for slow growth as long as improvement was on the way Then the tinkering started. The unbeaten run was broken once the likes of Gibbs and Henry got in the side and the formation plus form never recovered. The youngsters were inexperienced and not ready, especially in a dogfight at the bottom - ironic given that GR recently said he wouldn''t throw the Norwich kids in for the same reasons. Joe Lewis was sold in what could prove a major error of judgement, but it wasn''t all his fault - the failure to sign Martin Taylor was down to lack of funds and was another huge mistake by the board. I still stuck by him, even when Hucks left, although the manner of his leaving was very poorly handled. We needed a new broom and perhaps with some investment we could climb up the league. Hoolahan and Lupoli joined - exciting signings. Clingan and Bell had potential. Stefanovic had experience. But Bell was injured, Stefanovic''s displays waned before injury curtailed him, while Hoops and Loop attracted criticism from the boss and gathered splinters on the bench. And where were the other strikers? Well, we got Sibierski and Cort didn''t we? Then the loans came in (and out again), and the squad resembled a revolving door as well as a rehab centre (Kennedy, Cort). Some promising youngsters didn’t materialise (Henville, Koroma) while others didn’t live up to their initial promise (Omosuzi, Bertrand). Midfielders were played up front while strikers were left on the bench or sent away. The formations changed, the personnel changed, the captaincy changed on a weekly basis, but results didn’t. Wolves was a fluke. Ipswich was a one-off.  Deep down, nobody was fooled. The rest is history. The AGM fiasco, the denial about Lee Clark (who saw what was coming and jumped ship), the “ace up my sleeve”, and the increasingly awful results. Forest at home was the low point, at least until Charlton rode into town last night.  I feel sorry for those who went, but perhaps the men from The Valley have done us a favour, albeit a painful one. In the end I was not sorry to see him go. I think I only loathed Hamilton more as a manager at Norwich. Grant was worse in terms of results, but GR was catching him up fast. Roeder managed to piss off everyone around him, be it the press, the fans, the officials, the FA, and in the end, the players and the board.  The only thing I was sorry about, was that we had to sack him and deprive the club of much needed funds. I hope we muddle through now to the summer now with whoever we get, hopefully stay up, and pray that we get some investment and some new blood on the board. The club is a shambles. GR was only part of that. I hoped it would work. Part of me still sees what he was trying to do, but somewhere along the line he lost it. The whole mess isn''t solely down to GR - certainly not. Its also about the hopeless board.  And they’re still here. That’s the scary thing.
6. Hamilton.  Made Roeder look like Jose Mourinho.
7. What the hell happens now?  Seriously.  Sack Roeder with no money?  Will he quit?  Who will come here?  Our players are poor and nobody will want to join us.  I''ve never known the club in such a state, and I''ve been going a long time. Jesus, I wish I had some answers but I just don''t know anymore.  Humiliating.  What a mess.
8.

Glad to see Cort and Drury in.  If they need to get games than now is the chance.  Bertrand seriously needed a rest in any case. Feel a bit sorry for Hoolahan though - he''s just never going to fit into a 4-4-2 side is he?
Agreed JJ, poor ole Hooly
Makes me wonder if it will ever work for him here.  Not blaming the guy or even Roeder but it seems if we go with 4-4-2 at any time, then Hoolahan is out of the picture.  And we won''t play 4-5-1 every week (and I wouldn''t want us to).
9. I remember him causing havoc against Liverpool on his home debut!  Looked a real star in the making for a while but faded away. No idea what he''s like as a businessman though.
10. Glad to see Cort and Drury in.  If they need to get games than now is the chance.  Bertrand seriously needed a rest in any case. Feel a bit sorry for Hoolahan though - he''s just never going to fit into a 4-4-2 side is he?
11. Looks like its all on tomorrow.  Perhaps its an agreement with Sky or something like that?
12. Always been club for me.  I remember being asked a long time ago if I would prefer England to win the World Cup, or Norwich to win the Premier League/League Championship.  It was always the second - amazing to think between 89-90 we almost had both!
13.
I have followed the Canaries for over 35 years, through thick and thin, good times and bad and take a keen interest in the club. Having studied (and occasionally contributed to) the forums on line I am left with the opinion that contributors to this site possessing even a modicom of intelligence are in a distinct minority. I appreciate that there are some well meaning (perhaps niaive) souls, youngsters and other "trainee" fans together with those that do genuinely struggle with the concepts of commercial reality, grammar, history and indeed basic spelling abilities - however my frustration is directed at those who should really know better The subject matter of this forum often beggars belief - talk of take overs by parties who have expressed no interest, sacking the only people who have had the guts to put their money where their mouth is, suggestions that Chase was a positive influence, and most recently suggesting a consortia bid fronted by an ex player (without any liaison with the media) demonstrate the level of muppetry that prevails. More concerning however is the fact that contributors seem to devote hours of time to responding/debating/argueing the toss, pros and cons of such posts depicting a stark reality - this being that if you lot represent the core fan base of the club then god help us!! If you are not a binner and have nothing constructive or of value to impart then either start your own Halfwit Forum or shut the f*** up. Our club is in dire straits and can do without the continued spouting of utter drivel. It would be nice to see an educated response to this post - however I wont hold my breath....
Yes, there is a lot of bile on here, but try and find any forum on the web that hasn''t.  That''s the nature of the beast I''m afraid.
14.
Hucks to get him off the wage bill, Brown cos he was rubbish, and Strihavka because it would have cost money to have kept him, we were due to pay quite a lot extra for him if he stayed with us if memory serves. Don''t get me wrong I wanted Hucks to stay, and would rather have had Dave Striker than not have him but with this club it always comes down to doing it on the cheap. If we had upped our offers for Martin Taylor and Stefan Iverson would we be 21st in the league?
Not getting Taylor was a huge mistake, in the same way that we didn''t get Crouch in the summer of 2004 and muddled through to the Autumn with Docherty up front.  You could probably add Steve Howard to that too when Worthington wanted him to partner Earnshaw.  I think Roeder, Worthington and even to an extent Grant have all been undermined, whatever their shortcomings. I don''t like Roeder much and even with the money its debatable whether he would have got the best out of other players, but the board are just as guilty, if not more.  When we''ve needed that crunch signing, they haven''t delivered (except for Huckerby, and even then it was Carl Moore who helped saved the day).
15. Jamie won''t be coming back.  I wasn''t unhappy to see him go, but its pure insanity to send him away without any proper cover in the squad.  If we''re relying on Cort until May then we''re in deep trouble.  The guy has looked woefully unfit and the fact we were going to arrange a friendly purely to improve his fitness (which was postponed) says it all really. I suspect we''ll have someone in by the end of the month but we really can''t wait too much longer.
16. Don''t bet on it.  Roeder has already said he won''t throw the kids in yet after his experiences at Newcastle.  Reckons it ruined the careers of several youngsters up there by playing them too soon. Can''t find a link to it on here, but it was in Saturdays EDP if anyone saw it.
17. A few people have mentioned Coney, and yes it was pre-1993 (1989 in fact - otherwise I would have included him).  I remember the poor bloke having a mare against Liverpool, getting subbed for Malcolm Allen, and virtually the whole ground cheering as he trudged off the pitch.  I can also remember one game when the Barclay were singing "what a waste of money" at him.  I don''t think even Andy Hughes go it that bad, although it was close. Goes to shows that fans were just as cruel 20 years ago as they are today.  Can''t even blame message boards for that!
18.
Makes you wonder why we are paying him a wage when Roeder says he didnt even consider him for 10 minutes on the pitch .
Isn''t he on some type of pay as you play deal?  Good job really, cause he''s barely been on the pitch in the last six games.
19. I was always under the impression that Bertrand was here to compete with Drury for the left-back spot.  There doesn''t seem to be any competition though, as Berty keeps his place regardless of his form (which has been poor all season).  Drury may not necessarily be any better - his form and fitness since 2004 has been questionable - but I can''t help feeling there''s something amiss here. Nothing against Bertrand - we''ve seen what he can do last season - but the guy is young and perhaps needs a rest to regain his confidence and recharge his batteries.  The Charlton game may be the time to do it and give Drury a run out.
20. I have to admit, I didn''t want him here.  Fair play to the guy though, he''s done an amazing job.
21. I''m almost certain that we appointed Grant on the same day that WBA appointed Mowbray.  Weird, and with hindsight, a little depressing.
22. Oh blimey, so many to choose!  There are 3 eras that stand out.  Mike Walker''s second spell, Bryan Hamilton''s short reign, and the last four years.  I''ll plump for the following, but I could easily change my mind. 1 Victor Segura 2 Raymond de Waard 3 Fernando Derveld 4 Julian Brellier 5 Paul Dalglish
23. He came here to get fit.  If we get him back, that''s a bonus.  That''s the sad predicament we''re in right now.
