  1. King, you can record the match from the red button via Sky sports Football channel. Then you can pause, rewind etc. The only problem is you have to put up with the terrible camera work and shocking commentary - its Try-bull not Trebor! On Rudd, I hadn't realised he's 28, only 2 years younger than Krul. Played well last night (Rudd, that is...).
  2. I'm told this is definitely the case - the example given to me was of Krul reprimanding two younger players who had left their empty plates on a table at Colney, expecting someone else to clean up after them.
  3. Equally BYG and Frank, T&T didn't have Buendia, Hernandez or Stiepermann ahead of them last season to carry the ball forward in the way we have this season. Agreed, neither of them have the passing ability of Leitner or Vrancic, but I think we are far more threatening on the break, which I think could be in our favour this evening. We simply haven't seen enough of MacLean to know whether he can do the same role as Vrancic or Leitner, and I suspect Farke will stick to what he feels happy with, rather than take a risk.
  4. For clarity... Aldborough is a beautiful North Norfolk Village (just north of Blickling). Aldeburgh is a beautiful Suffolk coastal village. Both very nice places on a day like today, far from the madness going on at Portman Road.
  5. https://www.efl.com/news/2019/february/team-of-the-week-8-10-february/ In amongst all the madness, Emi Buendia makes the EFL team of the week. No place for Teemu, but Che Adams and Billy Sharp did both get hat-tricks I suppose... Fully deserved and unplayable on Sunday.
  6. Sears is 29, but yes, I hope he recovers from his injury. They've lost Jon Walters and now Sears to long injuries now, leaving them with Quaner and Keane for the rest of the season and Quaner seems injury prone too.
  7. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/chris-goreham-norwich-city-column-man-marked-by-timm-klose-1-5887150 I was reading this earlier and wondered if anything should be read into Klose's agent (ex-canary Gaetano Giallanza) being with him at the game on Sunday?
  8. I'd like to think that Lambert will face further action for his comments in the press conference after the game about disregarding whether he should've been allowed into the dressing room, saying that he didn't regret what he'd done and would do it again. Equally, I don't understand why he was allowed to communicate by mobile phone with Matt Gill all through the second half while sat up in the Director's box. Lost of managers used to watch the game from there anyway, so I don't see any punishment. Fat lot of good it did them though!
  9. injured in this tackle according to the EADT - https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/freddie-sears-out-with-knee-ligament-injury-1-5887328
  10. Nah, he'll be back at Chelsea within 2 hours of the final whistle after their last game of the season. Was their best player yesterday. Might do well in a better team.
  11. There are times when he frustrates the hell out of me. He carries the ball into space very well but then seems to miss the opportunity to play a pass to someone in a better position. He did that 3 or 4 times yesterday. Having said that, he is crucial to the way we play and especially when the opposition makes Krul play a long kick/pass. Re the standing on his foot, it was a massive unnecessary over reaction, but he did get trodden on.
  12. Yes, I wondered that too. when a player is sent off, they go down the tunnel for the proverbial 'early bath'. Does anyone know what the actual rules are. He also said that he was in their dressing room at half time - I think the quote was 'I went in anyway'. I do hope the FA/EFL throw the book at him. I suspect both clubs will face a charge of failing to control their players as well.
  13. Broadstairs, can you remind everyone about this, I can't remember what happened?
  14. Sadly I think both clubs will get hit with a charge. Lambert should get a ban though.
  15. I don't know anything about civil actions, but if Mings says he didn't mean to do it, and is backed up by the EFL not looking at it any further, what else can can happen via the civil action? Only Mings knows whether he meant to do it & he's not going to change his story now.
  16. Horse & Dray closed many years ago - was a great Adnams pub. It's now Baby Buddha Chinese Teahouse restaurant. I quite like the Last Pub Standing on King Street. The ones in Riverside (Queen of Iceni etc) also get busy, but I'm not keen on the corporate, warehouse style. Fat Cat & Canary on Yarmouth Road is good too (old Mustard Pot) as is the Coach & Horses just up from the train station. Or just a bit further away in Thorpe Hamlet is the Jubilee (give yourself 20-30 mins for a stroll to the ground!). Most are closed pre-match on Sunday I believe.
  17. I know it's Talk sport and they're always sensationalising things, but Perry Groves said this morning that he's 99.9% sure that it was deliberate and that he played professional football for over 15 years without standing on an opponent's head - deliberately or accidentally. Somehow, Mings has managed it twice in two years. Unfortunately, having made their statement, I doubt the EFL and FA will do or say any more about the incident. As always, they'll back the ref, (who said he saw it and decided it wasn't deliberate), otherwise it makes them look incompetent. I'm sure it'd be far more prominent and all over the news if it'd happened to Kane, Salah, Aguero etc.
  18. Sounds from our press conference that it'll be an unchanged team. Godfrey and Cantwell have minor knocks but are expected to be fit. Leitner has trained but won't be risked. Trybull's foot injury/cut isn't serious. Tettey's fit. Klose hasn't trained, so unlikely to be involved. Lastly Heise could be involved if needed. And a great quote from DF: "'We have to play with a flame in the heart, but ice in the head.'
  19. Agreed, it definitely brings the home crowd into the game. Just look at the Forest game when Pantilimon's antics eventually led to an extra minute being added to the original added time - and we all know how that ended.
  20. BYG - https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/conversion-plans-to-go-ahead-at-norwich-pub-1-5802519 Re: the Murderers/Gardeners Arms - Phil's a great landlord and massively influential to the pub trade in Norwich. Like many though, I can't believe how he's kept his football allegiances hidden for 30 years!
  21. Good point Lappin - Gunn had the experience of Hanley and Klose in his back four last season. We shouldn't underestimate Krul's experience. I did worry in the Sheff U and Leeds games that him getting booked in the first half meant that he had no room to manoeuvre in the 2nd half with being accused of time wasting etc.
  22. "You're sh... without Culverhouse" to the Go West tune...
