1. We never went 4-4-2 when we''ve had Howson. Can''t see AN changing now. Too stubborn. Not saying that''s the answer btw.
2.
Bro "Wins have papered over the cracks for this season so far. Until now. " I''ve seen this sort of post so many times recently, it''s absurd IMO, a win is a win. Why are you giving AN no credit when we win but all the blame when we lose, there is just no logic there.
Jenks It''s not a case of not giving AN any credit. it''s more a case of saying what you see. The reality is we have only played well on a few occasions this season IMO. Say Blackburn away, 2nd half of forest ermm maybe wolves away but I''m clutching now. I think that is generally agreed upon the majority. Don''t get me wrong winning when not quite at it is terrific, all the top teams have to do it. However every week we have stuttered over the line or relied on individual brilliance to bail us out. Unfortunately you won''t get away with doing that every week, which is what i believe we''re now seeing. I was a big AN supporter and felt he deserved a chance to rectify last season with keeping his job this season. Having seen what I''ve seen so far, same mistakes, not the greatest recruitment (although i accept maybe hands were tied this summer), disjointed performances throughout. I think his time is up. This is a terrific squad at this level. The division IMO is poor. Brighton and Newcastle are already starting to run away. We could and should be a lot better. Ok we''re still in play offs but if the trend carries on we can forget about promotion. Because of the situation now, as in many supporters against AN, which is resulting in a poor atmosphere around the ground, rumours of dressing room unrest. It''s a matter of when not if he leaves IMO. In an ideal world he''ll turn it around, but for me, to much water under the bridge, can''t see it. Hope I''m wrong
3. The fact some of you are now trying to blame the situation on a few individual errors across the pitch as the reason we''re in this predicament is utterly delusional. In every team across every division individual errors leading to goals are made. Unfortunately we have a manager who''s team has lost it''s identity. Not overnight. Been on the decline for the last 12 months. Wins have papered over the cracks for this season so far. Until now. Some of you are in serious denial of our predicament at present. Look at the leads game for example. That was the player''s response to a 5-0 drubbing. Should tell you everything you need to know and that is problems run deep right now.
4. Anyone can do an article for MFW, wouldn''t call it the press. Secondly nearly every writer on there before the leeds game has been blindly backing the manager. They''ve woken up, better late than never i guess
5. Typical of norwich fans saying no to this signing. Forever the soft touch football club
6. The player was 30 yards plus away from goal. If you ask McGovern himself I''m sure he''ll tell you he should have saved it. Was a good clean strike no doubt but should never had been a goal. Don''t get me wrong the whole teams just as responsible for switching off to the free kick
7. The saves McGovern made yesterday were ones you''d fully expect a pro gk to make. He parried nearly everything. he''d make a fine volleyball player i should imagine. The 3rd goal was 30 yards plus i should imagine. Should have been a comfortable save. Nevermind ey
8. Spot on yellow and green army been saying it for months. IF he can back to his best he''s a major asset to us. He won''t do that sat on the bench every week. Baffling even before last 2 games McGovern was ahead of him.
9. 100% lambert for me. We need someone who can come in and hit the ground running. He obviously knows the club, knows a lot of staff and many of the players. Anyone doubting because you apparently never go back just look at Eddie howe at Bournemouth. It''s a no brainer as far as I''m concerned
10. Expecting plenty of changes. Important to rest pinto and olsson for me. Both crucial to us. Any injury to those would be devastating. Something like this Ruddy Martin, bassong, bennet, whittaker Mulumbu, Thompson Canos, Pritchard, jo. Murphy Lafferty /Oliveira
11. Great result and performance. finally playing to our potential. To come back after missing a penalty and going behind shows immense character and togetherness in the side. I''ve been critical of the performances so far but that was more like it. Hope we can push on from here.
12. Ok let''s look at the league table. We''ve played 7 games this season. 3 of those games against the current bottom 3. The only side we''ve played in the top 6 currently we lost 3-0 against.. I appreciate it''s very early in the season so looking at table now isn''t necessarily best way to judge the teams we''ve played. But let''s just call it a fun example for now.
13. I think people are missing the point in general anyway. Some of us aren''t unhappy at winning and playing poorly, it happens from time to time and a win is always welcome. I think people are just saying if we carry on playing below par we will not keep winning. It''s not moaning or bashing the team. It''s realistic. And reference tomorrow''s game. If we play poorly i can''t see us getting anything. For what it''s worth I''m delighted at our points total so far particularly as we''ve been well below our best in several games.
14. Away from home you take what u can however u can
15. How dare iwan Roberts criticise the team over the lat 2 games........ What a moaner ey
16. Feel exactly the same skyler you are not alone. Unfortunately most of our fans are content with resting on their laurels. As we are winning just about we are not aloud to constructively look at the performances of the team. If so we are just moaners. Tough game Saturday, will need to play better than we have since first game of season if we want anything. Let''s hope we''re up for it
17. The only person who has hit the nail on the head in this thread is jim smith Spot on
18. If we can get ruddy back to his best then he is major asset to us. Wether or not he can get back to that kind of form remains to be seen but sitting on the bench won''t get him there. He''s the number 1 for me hands down
19. I can''t disagree with most of your points Ricky. Of course in this league it''s a constant scrap u could say and if you don''t do that first you''ll be getting nothing. I''m just a bit worried about our performances and quality on the ball. Against the better sides i think we''re really up against it unless we up our game. We saw how flat we look against such a side during the sheff weds game. Barely got near their goal. I appreciate teams come here and sit but we keep hearing about this great squad etc and he should have the ability to change it up to accommodate. Not sure he has that. I just hope it picks up. Especially these home games. Cardiff are piss poor and i feel we should be imposing our quality against these sort of sides a lot more than we did. In no way am i starting an Alex Neil out campaign or anything, at the end of the day we are grinding results out for now which is a big positive. I''ll fully support him and team whilst he''s here and like i say hopefully the performances start picking up now.
20. Just a heads up.... All professional goalkeepers are good shot stoppers.
21. After the Birmingham performance there can be no argument about team selection yesterday. Ruddy back in goal for me to, olsson in for brady and Pritchard for hoolahan. That''s all I''d change. Be nice if we could start on the front foot for once
