Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Hughton seems to be much more willing to switch the wingers now, this is the 2nd time that Wes has gone to the left and Redmond right, it''s nice to see. Also, HOOPER! [:D]
the bristol nest 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Cool head from Hooper. Great stop from Olsson.

Herman 9,765 Posted November 30, 2013 Elmander? Needs to get his thinking a bit quicker.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Seems to be a lack of protection from the midfield, they need to help out the back four more.

Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Wes, despite his lack of match-fitness, is looking sharp on that right-hand side, drifts centrally creates the overload in the centre and then attempts a pass in behind. He''s overhitting them at the minute, but that is due to a lack of playing-time.

PortlandCanary 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Would be nice if Fer would shake the sleepy dust from his eyes and start playing. He hasn''t shown up yet.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 2 points about that last palace attack:1) Elmander needed to get back much quicker, Howson almost had to abandon his defensive position to apply the pressure that Elmander should have.2) Fer took too much of a risk in the centre of midfield, it took good work from Wes and Howson to bail him out. Adycakes 5 Posted November 30, 2013 Wes is taking his chance with both hands today. I believe he will sadly sometimes give the ball away but it''s usually because he is trying to make things happen.Impressed with him today. Redmond is also having a very good game.Downside, we still look a little nervous at the back
Mr Angry 1,561 Posted November 30, 2013 Good place for a free kick, a second before halftime would be nice.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Redmond and Wes have switched wings again, definite tactical choice on Hughton''s part.

Adycakes 5 Posted November 30, 2013 I''d take a Redmond who can cross! :DHe''s playing very well but his crossing has been poor.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Good first half. Redmond and Wes deserve alot of credit for their attacking play, Redmond has looked dangerous when running at players and Wes is just such a brilliant footballer, so intelligent and quick with the pass. Howson also deserves a mention, he hasn''t really had the opportunity to burst forward into attacking areas but has been disciplined defensively and very quick and efficient when passing. Kangaroo Court 0 Posted November 30, 2013 The manager should have cleared away the dead wood that is Snodgrass and Pilkington long ago but it''s left to an injury "crisis" to get players in the team who actually deserve to be there.
Herman 9,765 Posted November 30, 2013 Good first half. Deserve to be up but can''t write off Palace. Should be a nervy second half.

ron obvious 1,502 Posted November 30, 2013 Totally, utterly chuffed for Wes. Let''s hope he can carry on from here, get his range sighted properly, & he''ll turn defences upside down!
