Tim Dawson 0 Posted January 21, 2013 On about 3 or 4 different threads people have mentioned signing Tom Huddlestone, to which all i can say is have you lost your marbles?? Do any of you watch other games, an example being his substitute appearance in the United game yesterday, his touch is dreadful, i lost count of how many times the ball bounced off his foot every time he tried to control it, looked like he has breezeblocks for boots! Add to that he is at least 4 stone overweight and turns slower than the QE2. If people think Camp and Huddlestone are the answer then im sorry you are seriously deluded..... I am a Banana 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Huddlestone on the bench... Spurs 0 - 1 Man Utd.Huddlestone on the pitch..... Spurs 1 - 1 Man Utd
Stig 0 Posted January 21, 2013 He will fit right in then!Tettey''s touch and Holt''s weight!
GJP 79 Posted January 21, 2013 Huddlestone is a very good player but clearly he needs a good run of games to get himself match fit and match sharp.
Tim Dawson 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Seriously banana that stat is yr argument, i suggest with him on the pitch it would have been like negotiating a rather large roundabout for the United players to get around. A fit Huddlestone is still lumbering and cumbersome, its a game for athletes now, the Mick Quinn days are long gone !!
Stig 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Yeah, he really isn''t as bad as you are making out...
Billabong 0 Posted January 21, 2013 He''s actually rather good.
Tim Dawson 0 Posted January 21, 2013 I remember him making hid debut against us a sub for Derby some years ago and i agree he did look a prospect but our midfield needs pace not something he has ever had in his locker or ever will.
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,424 Posted January 21, 2013 Huddlestone looked an decent player a few years ago, but has looked pretty awful in the last few years and has seen Livermore go past him in the Tottenham squad. Constant injuries and lack of fitness have seen him slip back a long way and he certainly wouldn''t be an answer to any of the questions surrounding Norwich at the moment. We have a player with as good a passing range as Huddlestone but Hughton doesn''t use him, I have no reason to see why he would want an immobile and unfit Huddlestone in the centre of midfield. Stig 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Well Dawson, it''s a good job for you other teams that can afford him can actually see what he has to offer so he won''t be coming here regardless...
Tim Dawson 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Thank god we can`t afford him, and thank you Bethnal i was beginning to think i was the only one

Remember when QPR signed Dyer..Huddlestone looked a potentially very good player years ago but as Bethnal has said consistent injuries has really impacted on him improving as a footballer. I have absolutely no wish to see him in a Norwich shirt. It''s not worth the loan fee regardless as i don''t think we''d get too many games out of him.Apart from scoring a pile-driver 1 every 100 games i don''t see what more he offers us than Johnson, for example. If anyone''s deluded it''s those who don''t think he is an improvement on Johnson. Granted he needs games, fitness and few less pounds, but he is head and shoulders and a big ''fro above Johnson. Scooby 0 Posted January 21, 2013 There are many players who have had lengthy injury problems and have come good again after regaining fitness. Should Huddlestone become available at an affordable price then I would snap him up. There is no substitute for class.
havemyhowsonit 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Hmm tettey or huddlestone? Aint exactly a toss of a coin. Huddlestone is about a million times better
Bristol Canary 156 Posted January 21, 2013 I''d actually prefer Livermore over Huddlestone, I think he''d fit our system better and at least half the cost. Plus he has been picked for England over Huddlestone for a reason in my opinion.
ROBFLECK 134 Posted January 21, 2013 Agree with Alartz, Huddlestone would be a great signing imo
Yellowbeagle 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Huddlestone when fit is a good player, he''s just hardly ever fit. However if we signed him we could at least wedge him in the goal until he lost the excess, find a way past that Liverpool!.
