Bye bye Reading

Recommended Posts
35 minutes gone & already 3-0 down. Not good enough, relegation dead certs.
This could get embarrassing for Reading. They are being torn apart at the moment.Keeper just saved them again but it will finish up 5 or 6 at this rate.

According to SSN earlier their net spend since promotion is £4M.....

When you think that even we generally spend at least £10M in the summer it is no wonder they are struggling.

Despite what some are saying on here I am happy with this result - keep a nice big gap between us and the wrong end of the table - I will start dreaming of a top half finish once we sail past the 40 point mark!!

The just had the half time stats up, 75% Arsenal possession, that says it all really. Absolutely Dominated!
I thought that Fulham (loan?) striker they bought cost more than that...
I think the big money on him was the wages i heard some huge figures mentioned.

Regardless of the fact that we beat Arsenal, when you compare even our performance against Arsenal compared to Readings "effort", it really is chalk and cheese. It also makes a complete mockery of that tool Durham, when he has constantly claimed we are the weakest PL team ever.

Err, hello!!!

I wonder if Norwich and Swanseas efforts last season made McDermott believe that, if we could both prosper in the PL on largely Football League experienced players, then they could too?

Clearly they''ve been caught with their pants down and have underestimated just how good both us and the swans actually are. A Premier League midfield of Mikele Legiertwood and Jay Tabb?! Question answered, surely?!

Well, surely everything will be ok because they''ve got one of those shiny new foreign owners who I saw distracted and texting on his phone when they were scoring for fun against Man Utd.

Coddy is right. Reading will be gone by New Year.

I think this is unfortunate as Reading aren''t as dislikable as say QPR who I think will get themselves out of trouble unfortunately.

The thing I find irritating about Reading is that they''ve been lauded by the pundits in the media for their "excellent goal scoring" against the big clubs. They''ve taken 0 points off the top teams (Norwich aside [;)]) and we''ve taken 6 from Man United and Arsenal alone.Would rather score only one goal in these matches and actually win the game.

Reading really are being punished. Completely and utterly unprepared for the world of the premier league. Sure they show some good attacking knowledge but it ultimately counts for squat when your defence, nay, fielded XI can get peeled apart by one sub-standard attacking move.

The writing appears to be written on the wall in Sharpie for them.

It''s a shame but I can''t say it bothers me massively! It''s nice to know one of the relegation spots is pretty much nailed on thus decreasing our chances of being dragged back into the mire!

Whatever qualities that are needed from a promoted team to survive, it''s pretty clear now reading haven''t got all the elements and it looks too late for them to find them, whatever January dealings they undertake.

You can never say never but their chances of staying up seembery slight. One of their players kebe in a post match interview stated that there was a big jump from the championship and that their new Russian owner hasnt spent any money. does not seem to be harmony behind the scenes  either. At least QPR have cash and the Harry factor. If Reading are probably gone it still leaves 2 spots to be filled and any team putting together a modest run can pull away. at the moment i would say anyone from Fulham down are in the mix and whilst we are well ahead of the game we need to keep the scoreboard clicking over albeit another 13 to 14 points should be enough
