Harry Redknapp

Recommended Posts

Bookies favorite to replace Agent Paul jewell, hope so. Mr Redknapp past his sell by date and a cheque book manager, will need to spend fortunes of cash to turn Scum round, just look at Pompey!!

It''s not ''arry though Zemas, it''s Rosie. The boy Mucus needs some more off-shore bank accounts. Rosie''s the target but they probably come as a pair.

Without a doubt a great manager who deserves respect, not to be slagged off. He did wonders for Spurs and shouldn''t have been sacked, it just seemed needless. Also one of the pundits who appreciates the smaller teams and MOTD needs someone like that.

The concern is that the ''commissions'' he takes are not for signing good players, but as at West Ham dozens of players were signed via dodgy agents to boost the ''commissions''.

Can it be a coincidence that all of his four previous clubs went bankrupt ?   "Harry made his demands and he got them," complained Bournemouth''s financial advisor Roy Pack, after Redknapp left the club relegated and £4.4million in debt."

Can it be a coincidence that the Fraud Office, the Inland Revenue and the Met Police all consider him corrupt -"Although illegal commissions from transfers have never definitively been linked to Redknapp, if it true that there is no smoke without fire then there must have been a conflagration given the plume of smoke hanging over his business methods"

Coincidence that a documentary crew filmed him illegally tapping up a player - and why would they select him to film ?

Coincidence that amongst the numerous dodgy agents he had dealings with was Willy McKay, who gave him a top racehorse (why?) and himself was convicted of dodgy dealing and corruption who also coincidentally lives in Monaco where Redknapp had a hidden offshore account under his dogs name - why would that be if it was all above board - "Redknapp was clearly up to something as the training ground was awash with agents on their mobile phones and the manager was frequently seen with them in exclusive London restaurants"

Probably best summed up - "Devoting an entire chapter to Redknapp, Bower, a well-known investigative journalist, paints a picture of an exceedingly greedy and apparently wholly unscrupulous individual with no loyalty to anyone but himself and his bank balance. "Readies Redknapp" unashamedly admits in the book, "Don''t rip anybody off but if there''s a chance to earn a few quid take it".

Nice to know in whose interest players are being bought

It would be more accurate to say that he thought Willie McKay might have given him a pretty crap racehorse, as he couldn''t remember where he got it but hey since the horse didn''t actually win anything how ''Arry came into possession of it was oddly classified de minimus.

Bit like being asked to explain where the money for the Bentley in your garage came from and getting away with it by saying you can''t remember but the service costs are extortionate.[:S]

Take a look at the list of dodgy unheard of players he signed at Portsmouth. many never got near a run in teh first team yet most cost £1m+. Then ask yourelf if you''d like him anywhere near your transfer budget and football agents.

Don''t forget the way he stitched us up with that clown Korama and the loan deal on a player that Roeder had never seen play but took him on Honest Harry''s recomendation.

""Take a look at the list of dodgy unheard of players he signed at Portsmouth. many never got near a run in teh first team yet most cost £1m+. "

"a bizarre succession of expensive signings of mediocre and often ageing players from Europe that the club earned the soubriquet "West Ham United Nations".

These acquisitions included Florin Raducioiu, who famously went shopping at Harvey Nichols when he should have been playing, Paulo Futre, who was clearly past his best and quickly succumbed to injury, and Marco Boogers, who was certified too mentally "

During his time at West Ham around 140 came and went. Many barely playing a few games before departing, all of whom came on high wages. Wages that undoubtedly were due commissions and fees to various agents. A very convenient and much used method of syphoning money out of football. Cynics might wonder what effect a managers say so has on a clubs owner(s) when signing those contracts.

Up to Spurs, Redknapps has ALWAYS left his former clubs with crippling player contracts and massive transfer fee deficits. It is yet to be seen why Spurs suddenly gave him the heave ho, as did others, or why England also very quickly got cold feet about being seen to be anywhere near him.

He perhaps epitimises all that is wrong with the modern game ...... greed, incompetence and in many cases downright dishonesty - and also, sadly, the naivety if not sheer stupidity of some of it''s fans.

If you are going to allude to the stupidity of others, I suggest you avoid mis-spellings and incorrect apostrophe use in the paragraph in which you make the allusion.

Citing Harry Redknapp merely emphasises to me the achievements of Ian Holloway at Blackpool on exremely limited resources.
