She''s not the saviour, Watling was![:@]
Depends how much he walletted when he sold her Chase''s shares Wiz. If he made a large profit it would tarnish his image somewhat don''t you think? [:^)]

Wattling is a great figure in NCFC history.

Delia is a National Treasure and another great figure in NCFC history. She has a certain vulnerability but is a warm person who loves her Club.

Happy birthday, girl, heres to a whole lot more!

This has already been done higher up the thread....

Geoffrey Watling is rightly a Norwich City legend with a stand named after him at the ground. He had a long association with the club and stepped in at a vital time in 1995 to buy Robert Chase''s shares.

Delia Smith and Michael Wyn Jones have also had a long association with the Club and have been majority shareholders since 1996. They too put their money into the club at a vital time.

Geoffrey Watling AND Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones should be thanked for what they''ve done for our club.

To thank one, but not the other is quite frankly....silly!

Perhaps IF you put that big wooden spoon in the correct place and STOPPED trying to stir with it.....but that''s not very likely is it!

Happy birthday Delia and many more of them.

You obviously don''t know your City history, you''ve swallowed the Watling myth, he was always a middle man and he probably didn''t use his money to buy the shares, the shares were only ''resting'' in his account.

Now just remind me who it was Butler who started a thread last friday with the title " Delia''s Gone ". I expect i am looking through the wrong end of the telescope if i was to suggest it was trying to stir things up with such a provocative title. Having read the opening post it was bugger all to do with football let alone Norwich City but i expect you had your reasons to post such nonsense.[:D]
