kick it off 2,062 Posted February 19, 2012 Wow, what a brilliant and insightful post. Really, thank you for contributing this, I really feel that it has been beneficial to my personal development to hear your well thought out arguments.8th is a brilliant achievement, not a single person on here disputes that, but the performance today was a shocker and if we had been playing to even 50% of our potential, we''d have won comfortably. People have every right to complain about the result when it was down to a bad performance and several players looking like they weren''t giving it 100%. On top of this, several key players were rested despite us not having a league game for 8days.I''m not going to bother elaborating further as you are either a child, a troll, or just simply a moron (It could be any of them, but your avatar is a picture of one of the most moronic "comedians" around so I know where my money is). Harry 0 Posted February 19, 2012 A babyish post by a babyish person, just because people have a different opinion to you doesn''t entitle you to call them morons. The majority of peole aren''t even complaining about the result, we/they are complaining about the performance. Yellow Messiah 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Only a moron would not be disappointed about losing in the Round of 16 in the F.A cup. We could be 90 minutes away from Wembley at this point! "Call yourself a supporter!! Joke!"
catlineker 11 Posted February 19, 2012 Well im not happy about todays result, think we missed a great opportunity this year to do something we have never done before.I would also like to see you call me a moron face to face you Tw#t
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Sorry but I felt the need after I''d sifted through countless moaning moronic posts that we didn''t do this we didn''t do that! If Holt was on we''d of won 10-0!I didn''t mean to offend people but was extremely disappointed in peoples opinion. The same people who I bet didn''t follow us up and down the country while we were in league 1!As Lambert always says in defeat "the lads have done everything for me so I can''t complain"so in my opinion just because you pay £25 and travel x,y and z to get the game doesn''t entitle you to slate a team that''s punching massively above its weight!Manage them, train them, get promoted twice with them and then I''ll listen to your opinion. Ruddygore 0 Posted February 19, 2012 So because we don''t manage the team we can''t have an opinion?Well thats sorted then, close the forum. Twerp.
Mr Jenkins 0 Posted February 19, 2012 I think it was "kick it off" who started the Moron bit not the OP. The OP was spot on however and the "calling outside for a kicking" only adds weight to his point that people are going way over the top.

drurys testamonials V 15 0 Posted February 19, 2012 How can any City fan who expects their team to make their best effort every time they pull on the City shirt be a moron? The result is not in question because Leicester scored more goals. We did not turn up at the races and that is what is being discussed in endless threads.
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted February 19, 2012 As I''ve said before I''m not here to offend I was just disappointed as was everyone. My post was made at around 2am and it was my birthday so I admit I wasn''t all indoors! We all want the same thing which is a successful healthy NCFC. Yes we all have different opinions just yesterdays reaction seemed really harsh towards the team to me. But that''s just my view and in the grand scheme of things it''s not important.and in all fairness to Leicester I think people aren''t giving them enough credit. Nugent really wanted it yesterday just like he always does against us for some reason.Anyone wishing to still give me a Dereck Chisora bitch slap next Sat feel free! I''ll take one for the team!: POTBC
CanaryOne 0 Posted February 19, 2012 I would have thought when the only Cup we have ever won was the Micky Mouse Milk Cup many moons ago supporters and club alike would have liked a crack at its first major trophy , appears not though , many would rather win a meaningless league game next Sunday against the mighty Man U .Makes you wonder why we bother even playing in the cup competitions , why not just pull out and be done with it ,does anybody really believe winning yesterday would have put Premiership survival at risk ? or that Holt will cause Man Utd more problems through having a fortnight off ? that''s just complete utter nonsense . Lets hope next weekend Sir Alex and his team are as disinterested in us as we were in Leicester City yesterday because that''s our only hope of getting anything out of the game . Thisisbabyish 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Man U weren''t disinterested at Old Trafford and we played them off the park for 70 minutes.I think many people forget Holt didn''t get a single minute and was relegated behind Chris Martin. As stated very very short memories.Do agree we should pull out off all cups! Not micky mouse at all. That year we qualified for Europe for the very first time only to have it crually snatched away by the antics of the bin-dippers.Would be nice to add an FA Cup win to that and I thought we had a good chance this year. grantroederdisaster 0 Posted February 19, 2012 ["Thisisbabyish"]8th in the premier league! end of story!! Bulls*it thread! Everyone with half a brain will apreciate the last 3 seasons have been brilliant but after paying good money to attend yesterday, its understandable fans are up in arms at such a limp half hearted performance against a team we would beat if we played our best!
kick it off 2,062 Posted February 19, 2012 For a start, smokebomb, if you genuinely believe that we were playing at more than 20/30% of our potential then you are delusional. Take the Swansea game for example, the performance yesterday wasn''t even in the same ball park. Or do you think Leicester are a better team than Swansea and that''s why our performance level wasn''t even close? If you honestly believe that was us at more than 50% of our potential then why the hell aren''t we bottom of the Prem on single figure points tally? That''s where we''d be if we played every game the way we did yesterday. The fact you think I started the moron bit, shows your intellect as you are clearly not capable of reading a simply worded thread title properly. This is babyish: You didn''t mean to insult anyone but entitled your thread with "moron" and then called me a moron for pointing out how pointless the thread was and having a different opinion. You clearly lack the power of analysis to notice that people were complaining about the performance, not the result. Guess what? I''m not one of those fans who jumped on the bandwagon either, I have followed City all over the country in every division, through every season of the last 20 years (since I was 4). In your response to another post you state he is probably one of the very few who hold a negative opinion of yesterday who actually followed us up and down the country in league one? THAT DOESN''T EVEN MAKE SENSE. We sold out every away game in league one near enough, and you think the majority of those are happy with yesterday''s performance because of where we are in the league, it''s just the bandwagon jumpers who are unhappy? Does that even sound plausible to you? Really? Everyone is pleased with where we are in the Prem, but it has NOTHING to do with yesterday''s performance. As Lambert always says in defeat "the lads have done everything for me so I can''t complain" - Well yeah, obviously, he''s hardly going to say they couldn''t be bothered, X is a lazy tw@t etc is he? If you had the first clue about management then you would realise that is a stupid comment. what Lambert says publicly is very different to what he says behind the scenes, I''m surprised anyone would lack the cognitive ability to work that out. It also disproves your point because I don''t think one person who watched the game yesterday would argue the players gave it everything. Why are you not entitled to give your opinion if you pay £25 for a ticket. If I went to a concert, and the singer/band couldn''t be bothered and half-assed it like we did yesterday I''d complain and think I was well within my rights to do so. What is so special about footballers that they can''t be criticised, you sound about 12 with an idol worship complex. My existence isn''t sad, thanks for your concern, however if I were looking to muppets like you for enlightenment then I''d be in a much worse state than "sad".An extremely talented actor? I just IMDB''d him and shockingly he has had absolutely no success whatsoever except with that moronic character. Hardly Oscar candidate when he has never achieved anything noteworthy whatsoever. In conclusion, yeah there were a few posts yesterday which were OTT, but the majority were people who were angry after watching our team known for work ethic, and fight, just roll over and die to a poor, mid-table Champs, injury hit Leicester team and to call anyone a moron for being pi$$ed at that reveals that you lack the analytical capacity to seperate performance from result, cup from league, bandwagon fans and loyal ones who are annoyed etc - basically I don''t think you''re very bright, and it looks like the majority of posts here support that, including your own. Lets hope next weekend Sir Alex and his team are as disinterested in us as we were in Leicester City yesterday because that''s our only hope of getting anything out of the game .
What a prospect though? What a prospect - the possibility of Norwich V Sunderland at Wembley or Norwich V Liverpool at Wembley in the FA Cup Final or even Semi Cup Final. If any team is not fully committed to WINNING any game they shouldn''t even bother turning up. If the attitude of any club towards a competition is they couldn''t care less about it they shouldn''t even enter for it. It didn''t matter what type of match it was yesterday whether FA Cup or vital league game, all the manager and team had to do was look at the ground and appreciate there were something like 26,681 people there who had paid and travelled - in fact the were 26,682 the last one was me! A full house of supporters tells how important a match is and no manager or player has the right to decide otherwise. So, at the point of Norwich being mathematically safe in the league all the regulars can be rested for next season because the results of the remaining games won''t matter? The higher place a team achieve the more money the club receives - the further a team progresses in the cup the more money the club receives. Yesterdays loss cost the club what it spent to buy Grant Holt (the next round would''ve brought in nearly a million £). I spoke with a director on the Norwich Board after the game and they were most pissed off at the loss of potential revenue. However, if a PROFESSIONAL footballer needs resting during an 8 day lull, so be it. PROFESSIONALS don''t need rested they need to be kept fresh - the only professional who need their working time limited to maintain performance are Surgeons, Airline Pilots and Lorry Drivers et al. Next week Manchester United may decide to rest their key players and on yesterdays performance why not? Norwich''s winning streak has been broken, the psychological effect of a poor performance etc.etc. Norwich don''t even need to try really, as Paul Lambert said at the start of the season in these matches Norwich don''t expect to take many points off the big guys. I''m going to watch the Liverpool v Brighton match now and if Dalglish hasn''t taken this one seriously I''ll be really peed off!!!

First Wazzock 1,010 Posted February 19, 2012
But I''m sure he''ll be cheering as normal when our first team batter Man U next week
I think you''ve just hit on why people are so disappointed.Lambert said early last week he was focussing on the Man U game, which suggested he wasn''t too bothered about the result, and he didn''t sound too disappointed after the game. I''m sure next week we''ll be going hell for leather for the win - something that was certainly missing yesterday. The performance, however you dress it up, was dire compared to what we are capable of. We had a chance to make even further progress, but now we are going into the game next week after a loss not on a high after a win. There are comparisons to last seasons Cup game at home to Orient, I''m not suggesting this is true for one moment, but it almost looked like, go out there give them a game, but don''t overdo it and if you lose, you lose - that to me is not good enough.
