Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted May 20, 2010 Ok, well a few of you might know Im a high school teacher, recently I moved back from Hampshire into a more local area so am somewhat confused at actually teaching Norwich fans. Im used to having a good bit of banter and even situational empathetic chats with Saints , Swindon and even Pompey fans but something happened to me the other day which made me question the role of football / teachers and staff in schools. It was an average Tuesday at school. Science lesson to be exact... I was doing my usual thing when a student raised out of his seat and was ready to explode with rage. He was waving a folded news paper threateningly at the lad next to him and shouting obscenities. Id seen this look before and knew that if I didn''t take control of the situation a fight would break out there and then.Quickly I removed the offending student from my class room telling him to stand outside for the disruption to my lesson, the nerve of him ! He went, not quietly I might add while the poor lad next to him looked on with a terrified eyes ! Once the offender was safely in the corridor I got the class back on task and quietly asked the terrified young chap " What happened there ?" The lad looked at me and replied... "Nothing Sir, I drew on his paper and he kicked off " BAH Pathetic I thought. I was not going to let this happen in MY classroom by god !With a mean look of determination I told the class I would be back and gave the " Ive got this under control " nod to my TA and strode from the classroom to give the little herbert a right telling off and perhaps a detention. On reaching said offender still loitering outside the class room I asked him " Right, so exactly why did you explode like that in my lesson"The revelation to follow made me almost explode with rage myself. The student un-rolled his newspaper... a copy of the EDP Canaries Victory special.... " Sir, he drew a cock on Grant Holt......... " and there it was , bold as day, a perfectly drawn phallus on the heads of Grant Holt !!!!!!!!Despite my better teachers judgement of letting the lad go back in and give the lad a solid kicking I resorted to going back in and confronting the other lad.I explained that regardless of his football allegiance the lad should never graffiti someone else''s property. Then the little binner said it... " But Norwich are shit sir". Again holding back the rage and want to lob the little herbert out of the window I held back and looked at him ice coldly I explained " Although you saw if fit to draw a self portrait next to Grant Holt you have to understand that no one wants to see a picture of you holding the cup " His little face turned to shame. So I ensured the little herbert lost his lunch time.Never again would he be drawing a penis on Grant Holt !!!!!

Woman in the Stands (WITS) 0 Posted May 20, 2010 A friend of mine is a Primary Teacher and worked at a school in very deprived area. A child decided to write rude words on the cover of her rough book . When my friend saw them, she explained to the child that if she was going to write those words, she should at least learn to spell them correctly and proceeded to tell her. The child was stunned to say the least!
