Well despite reading all the positive posts on here (what plane are people on here living on)I am totally shocked and devastated at the standard of team we have going into next season. The players that were worth any sort of money have mostly gone and we have replaced them with players that cost nothing yes nothing! One of these is the fat McVeigh who could not get picked up by a lower league side. We still have the absolutely useless cureton! We still have the even worse Doc! The worst part of all is that the woman responsible for all this is at the helm still sailing along smoothly. She has replaced the previous scapegoats and all is happy at NCFC. None of you seem to have noticed that the transfer policy has not changed at all and if anything its getting worse! I was a season ticket holder for 20+ years but have given mine up this season, I can watch no more as a woman single handed destroys this club, this while a new generation of door mats sit and applaud her for it. Christ they even get angry with people mentioning her name in vain! Wow!! Did I sleep through the first 10 games of the season? I haven''t seen these new players play yet but I''m glad you have and made your judgment. How have you managed to get to see them all play?I''ll agree that the wicked witch still needs getting rid off and that Bryan Gunn is not who I want to see in charge but I will reserve judgment on the new players until I see them play a few competetive games. I disagree on Doc who  will be more than capable at our new level.  Goal scorers is what we are still missing (yet again) and this is the one thing that annoys me the most, it''s not as if it''s a new problem. Overall I think we are heading towards an average league 1 team but no league winning team, hopefully they will over achieve and end up in the top 6 but I wont hold my breathe.You know, one day in the future queen Delia(and hopefully Gunn) will be gone and all this will be a thing of the past. We will be back but for the time being we are going to have to cling on for the ride I''m afraid.It''s not that long ago that Man City were sitting down here and now they are drowning in money that knowbody seems to know how to spend correctly.

Although I am a bit aggrieved that we obviously have no budget whatsoever without sales I''m actually mildly optimistic about next season. Although i''ve not seen any of the new guys (and based on the highlights i''ve seen from Scotland have some concerns about how easily nelson got done for pace on a couple of occasions) i think Gunn is building a decent looking squad of players who will be keen to play for Norwich and better themselves. I will admit though that it could go either way depending on how any money from Clingan and Russell is spent. 2 or 3 further arrivals for a bit of cash and I will be content. Another 3 freebies and i will feel short changed.

Supporting a football club is like getting married...." in sickness and in health.........for richer for poorer etc" This is a period of sickness and shortage of cash. We will support our team with or without investment not run away bleating. This does not stop me being unhappy about the situation though.

Regarding the players for this season , you may be right in your assumptions but I will reserve judgement until I have seen them play in COMPETITIVE matches, not just a kick about.

Re the goalkeeping situation - Dec is not ready to be first choice yet. He is a very talented young keeper but still has lots to learn from a more experienced pair of hands. Theoklitis will be a very good aquisition.

I think I just might enjoy my season a little more than missing out on a Saturday ( Tues/weds!!) matchday [:D]

Total and utter b@@@@cks !Im very pleased with the way the squad is looking, we now have CONTRACTED PLAYERS, young hungry winners, that have come from promotion winning teams in some cases. Look at last season, we had Sibierski, Omozusi, Koroma etc, would you rather have these players instead?Tudor-Jones and Gill are proven at this level, and now Stephen Hughes who other decent clubs wanted, Nelson is what our defense has needed since we lost Malky, a brick wall, if we get Whaley the midfield is all set, with Adeyemi, Smith, Pattison, Hoolahan and Lappin. Good enough for League 1 im sure.Defence looks better, Nelson, Doc and Dejan, Drury and Semmy, sufficient for League 1 level. No Omozusi, no injury prone Kennedy, no loanee Grounds etc...Not too mention we have Spillane and Martin back who will hopefully be more experienced and may finally prove their worth. Cody will get his chance and may well be a gem. Agreed we need another striker or 2, hopefully Maric can fit the bill.With Russell leaving, who was integral to 2 relegation battles in the 2 years he was here, no surprise seeing as tho he was 1 half of the most important area of the pitch, im looking forward to a new midfield, hopefully one that will attack and create and score goals.Main thing is team unity, and consistency of team selection. That was our downfall last season. This season we will hopefully see a consistent team and this is key.Plus all players signed are appropriate to our situation, and will do a job in League 1.

I very much doubt there is another defence at this level with defenders of the class of Doherty and Stefanovic in their midst even if Stef may not be first choice he would be a class act at this level and despite what some of our fans might unfairly say about the Doc most teams in this league would bite your hand off if you offered them Doherty.

We are not going to win every match. We may not even start well - or finish in the top six. But we were where we were at the end of last season - and I for one would have settled then for the team rebuilding that''s been done by Gunn & Co since. Don''t know enough about most of the players to comment but I am prepared to wait and see. Certainly I feel more optimistic  now than I thought I would at this stage. (And if the flu'' thing takes hold we may need plenty of cheapish cover so I wouldn''t object to the likes of McVeigh on short contracts either).

I am quite optimistic, sure I loathe Delia but she clearly isn''t going anywhere, and so I remain a Norwich City fan, and yes I have a season ticket and am looking forward to seeing how the new squad of Norwich City players gel next season. I have hardly been to see City for several years and I believe that this was mainly because everytime I went it seemed like a different team. It was sad being asked who someone was and having absolutely no idea! Now Gunny seems to be building a team, and as someone else quite rightly said, for better or worse I remain a fan.

At the end of last season I was prepared to chuck it all in, hand back my season ticket and concentrate on coaching this season. It was apparent we had no money and I couldn''t work out how we were going to rebuild a squad that was wafer thin without any cash. I was underwhelmed by the appointment of Gunny and of the restructuring of the board, there didnt seem to be any new ideas or a change of approach. I''ve never been pro or anti Delia, its her money she can do what she wants with it but like everyone else I''ve been frustrated by how we''ve squandered any cash we''ve had, although in hindsight thats the various managers'' faults.

The board are in a no win situation, back the managers judgement and get criticised for wasting money, don''t back the manager and get criticised for lack of ambition. You look through the names over the last 5 or 6 years of players who have been abject failures (altho not always their own fault) and you can see where all the money has gone, including Andy Hughes, Antoine Sibierski, Arturo Lupoli, Callum Davenport, Carl Cort, Carl Robinson, Chris Brown, Chris Killen, David Carney, David Strihavka, David Wright, Dean Marney, Elliott Omozusi, Elvis Hammond, Graham Stuart, Ian Murray, James Henry, Jamie Ashdown, Jason Jarrett, Jimmy Smith, John Hartson, John Kennedy, Jonatan Johansson, Juan Velasco, Julian Brellier, Jurgen Colin, Keiran Gibbs, Keith Briggs, Kevin Lisbie, Luke Chadwick, Mark Fotheringham, Mateo Rigters, Mattias Jonson, Mattieu Louis-Jean, Mo Camara, OJ Koroma, Paddy Boyle, Peter Thorne, Thomas Helveg, Tony Warner, Troy Archibald-Henville, Zema Abbey and Zesh Rehman.

Yet something strange has happened, I was never really gonna hand back my season ticket, because I knew I''d come anyway and it would end up costing me more that way (even with teh 4 hour round trip for home games). We''ve slowly started to build a squad with cheap players who can do a job, yes we''ve got no money and we know we''ve got no money so there is no point dreaming of signing Ricky Lambert ;). What we appear to have is a squad of players with points to prove, whether it be those who have been here before or ones who are coming in.

Its got to the stage where I am looking forward to the season and disappointed I can''t make either friendly, by the time we face Col U I am almost expecting us to have pulled together a squad with a little bit of quality, a steely determination, a better attitude and of players who we actually own. I would have settled for 2 out of 4 a month or so ago to be honest.

Will the squad be good enough to challenge in league one, yeah on paper i reckon it will, will it be good enough to win the league, probably not. But get off to a good start, win 3 or 4 games in August and all of a sudden the qualities listed before will be enhanced further by a bit of confidence. The squad will take time to settle and that may not happen, but I expect by the time we get to October that however we start we''ll be there or there abouts.

Why do people get the get the notion you have to see the players to know if they are good enough, i have never seen one race horse i have backed but i know the ones that have no chance of winning by their form and pedigree. Same as the players we have signed, imo, no form or pedigree to suggest they are capable of getting us promoted, which is surely the idea, is it not. I agree nout has changed, HRH is still here, we still have the man who took us down in charge and we dont intend spending a washer in the transfer market but yet again we have the Percy''s telling us how wonderful things are and once again tipping us for promotion, yes definatlely some old. Before the comeback, same old me, yes it is, but myself and many others on here have been proven right each year, once again come the season end it will be same old. I would love to be wrong but cant see it.

I was quite surprised to see your name in his signature and would not have included you in my criteria, sorry if I did not make that clear. There''s nothing wrong about harking to the old days (I''m not that young myself) but it seems that cluck has deliberately set out to antagonise and by including you in his list may have done you a disservice.
