JuanVelasco 27 Posted May 28, 2009 Michael Foulger says that he personally will match every penny that the fans pledge, he is a fan, you are fans.Im not telling you to give your rebate, but there is absolutely no reason why Foulger should be expected to give up to 600k to the club "regardless".A nice gesture from the only decent Director we have, who clearly obviously cares about the club, Is worth a lot less money than Delia and MWJ and has probably lost a fair bit of money in the recession.Even if the club only collects 200k from the rebate, there is somebody willing to match. Carl Moores is a legend for giving his money to the club when we are in need, yet Foulger is insulted? Nice one Foulg.

Secondly, dont call me happy clappy, I could not have made it more clearer in this very post that I am anti-delia. I will continue to clap my team though, and if a wealthy City fan is willing to help that team be one worth clapping (thats Foulger by the way) and is only asking that the fans do not REDUCE the amount that they put into the club this year, then thats all good. I am not telling people to give their rebate, I am just saying that Foulger is doing a decent thing by matching the contribution of those that choose to do so. Personally my rebate will still be spent on shares, as I want at least a small asset in return, yours may be spent going down the pub. Thats not only fair enough but irrelevant, the point being that Foulger is giving the club money and anybody that gives money away does not deserve to be treated with disrespect. Your money will still be spent on some sort of good or service, some people will choose for that service to be in the form of their saturday afternoon entertainment and some people will choose for that good or service to be their saturday night entertainment etc. Each to their own, but you cant criticise Foulger for giving money to the club that you all claim to support. Bury Yellow 2 Posted May 28, 2009 Head Nail Hit ctidIt is a personal choice of course but from my stand point I find this latest pr from the board nauseating to the extreme. This is a good opportunity to let the board no how we feel. Just because somebody is on the board hardly means they should put their personal money into the club no string attached. If you think that a) Foulger should invest just because he has the money, and b) that we will compete well in League One without money from him then I think you are on a different planet.Assuming that the board are true to their worth, and all the rebate money and Foulger''s money goes directly into the playing budget, then I certainly think it rewards those fans who have decided to give up their rebate. If you don''t want to give up yours, then I don''t really see what difference Foulger''s offer has made, and why it makes you angry anyway...

JuanVelasco 27 Posted May 28, 2009

as to you happy clappy!!!! get a grip....fans had to watch total cr8p last season and now are going to have to watch league 1 football...yet again the board are asking for more money!!!!! thats the fecking point!!!!!!
You don''t have to watch anything. You are quite free to cancel your season ticket and keep all your cash....and to be honest if you''re like the fecking pr*ck that sits behind me moaning for the whole game, never singing, I wish you would.People like you infecting the Barclay are why theres less noise there now than there was in the late 80s/early 90s with half the support. Plastic fans feck off to the pub to watch your beloved Man U on Sky and leave the Barclay for proper fans.
Well said. The simple fact is that those who dont want to give a rebate do not even have the right to comment on Foulgers proposition as it doenst relate to them at all.
