Aplologies if this has been posted before but i raised my eyebrows. At the bottom is says that GR said Lappin ''hasn''t got a future at the club''.

He won''t be let go for free but still, can we afford to lose another of our players??

this has been posted before, but before roeder said lappin can go. I must say its a shame, glenn himself said simon has a cultured left foot so seems strange we don''t want him.Not impressed by this decision but I aint the manager, and Glenn knows best

Maybe, just maybe GR had no choice, what if the board said you want us to back you then players you wont use in the first team have to go.

To me this says that he is a good player, BUT, since Lappin isn''t a out-and-out left back, or a left-winger... (I''d say a left-sided midfielder than a winger) and maybe that particular role is something Roeder doesn''t have space for.He does sort of say "he can stay and make a go of it if he wants" but presumably Lappin wants out otherwise Roeder wouldn''t say that!

According to the article, Glenn is quoted as saying  "He will find it difficult to get into the team that I have in my mind." This would certainly suggest that he already has one or two players already lined up for the left hand side of midfield.  Possibly Hooligan and one other? Unless of course he rates young Eagle above Lappin.  Either way I would have thought it unlikely he would start proclaiming a player surplus to requirements if he hadn''t already found a replacement.

IMO not good enough for the first team, so cut the wage bill and if we can get a couple of quid for him, then we can put it towards players that are.

I am not upset by Lappin leaving he is simply an average player in the Clint Easton mould, BUT when you see Huckerby leaving and Robert Eagle signing a contract, it does make you wonder!
