ncfc4eva 0 Posted November 29, 2006 If your interested Huckerby has been offered a contract 3''000 less of what he already earns (per week). he isnt happy with it which explains the delay, would settle for an extension on his current deal with no changes made.why are we offering him a contract less than what we pay at the minute?! seems crazy. v v v v valuable at the minute. komakino 272 Posted November 29, 2006 I don''t want Huckerby to go, but there are limits. As we are unlikely to go up this season on current form, the club will have to make cut-backs all round. I''m sure Huckerby would still be the highest earner, but there will have to be a certain degree of compromise on this issue. Didn''t Huckerby say money wasn''t everything the other week?Despite his performance last night, he didn''t look happy to me. His body language wasn''t right, so I wouldn''t be surprised if he goes to Celtic for a final swansong, despite his claimed love of Norfolk.
3canaries 0 Posted November 29, 2006 Simply because he is older and can''t command what he earned in his peak.
Baldyboy 0 Posted November 29, 2006 i agree about his body language. commented to my lads last night that he looks like hes on his way out, but i really hope i am wrong!!!
canary cherub 1 Posted November 29, 2006 ncfc4eva, it would help if you could be a bit more specific about how you know this to be true. But assuming that it is . . .. . . how skint must we be if we are prepared to risk losing him for the sake of £150,000? We simply shouldn''t be in such serious financial trouble that we can''t afford to keep our star player for one more season.

Syteanric 1 Posted November 29, 2006 i think hucks has been told he will be off in janaury too.. his body language isnt great but he si trying yto make sure he leaves us in as healthy a league position he can. Remember Darren Eadfies last game for us vs WBA when we beat them and Eadie was playing like he never played before? his celebrations for the goals were very unlike him (he went mental) as was his actions at the final whistle where he stayed for ages applauding the fans.. wonder if hucks will be the same.jas :)

ca 1 Posted November 29, 2006
just friendly with a few of the players.jarvis very unhappy also
Always makes me laugh when people say they are friendly with a few players. Do you mean that you are really friendly with them and socialise with them in their homes and in the evenings or do you mean that you chat to them at Colney, after the games and at clubs etc.like hundreds of other fans do?I just don''t see Hucks as the sort of guy to discuss his contract talks with anyone other than his family, especially not other players, he strikes me as a private sort of guy but if I''m wrong and a player has confided in you about Huck''s negotiations then I''m sorry! ca 1 Posted November 30, 2006
yes i socialise with them in their homes etc, iv grown up with a lot of them. was an ex player myself
Don''t the players mind you coming onto a message board and divulging what they have told you in confidence about a current players wages negotiations? Alex Moss 2,165 Posted December 1, 2006 This is an interesting situation. Although it''s easy to dismiss claims made by this ''ex-player'', i wouldn''t fully dispute it. A couple of years ago i got involved in a argument on a messageboard standing up for a close and long standing friend who drums in a world famous rock group. I quickly learn''t that it''s not the best policy to get involved with these kind of places. I never discussed or brought into the conversation anything traitorous such as money, but would advise that if the poster is a genuine friend of Huckerby etc he/she quits posting any messages that can question loyalty. Talking about friends money/contracts etc online is not a good practice. You maybe kidding us all, but if you''re not.......show your mate Darren some RESPECT.
ncfc4eva 0 Posted December 1, 2006 No i havn''t grown up with the old biddies. Just a couple of the youth players through the system, Huckerby doesnt mind me giving information out like i have, its the very big details in which he does mind. Im not on here to argue with you about if you believe i am an ex player or that i know the players! Just remember they are normal men with normal lives and friends and its not too rare for them to know a lot of people! Im not a very close friend of Darrens, more of the Jarvis'' etc. But around the club its not that confidential that Huckerby was offered 3''000 less. As a fan of Norwich also i just thought it would have been of interest to you. But i can see the trouble and strife its caused. Sorry to make a few of you rear up at me. Enjoy the rest of the season.
