Huddy 0 Posted September 30, 2006 I have been told today that Alan Curbishly has been lined up as our new manager. I admit this is ''someone i know speaking to someone who has been told by a source''. This could be complete rubbish, but they also apparently said that tommorows result doesnt matter, and whatever happens worthy will be sacked and Curbishly appointed. Apparnetly, delia and curbishly are good friends. My gut instict is that part of this may be true, but bits like whatever happens he will be sacked our wide of the mark. We can only hope. USAcanary 0 Posted September 30, 2006 we need someone to come in and unite the club and the fans.I would love this if its true. The only thing I dont understand is why wait till after the Burnley game. Why go through all the protests and the crowd being uneasy. That part makes no sense. 0peteddMMyyyy0Falseen-USTrue 0 Posted September 30, 2006 How about a manager who isn''t close to Delia, one who survives or falls on his record not his abilities as a dinner guest.
barclay4ever 0 Posted September 30, 2006 wud be wkd if thats tru - get to see norwich win worthy still goes and we get the best manager out of work at the moment
CambridgeCanary 0 Posted September 30, 2006 I have long though that this is a credible scenario given the links between Delia and Curbs as well as the type of club and challenge that City is. In some respects bigger than Charlton in fans, resources and potential so he could build the club as he did Charlton but take it further. He would have the support of Board and fans for a long term project to make this club what it should be......an established and flourishing mid Prem club. With the rubbish we''ve seen on the pitch and the lack of leadership off it at all levels, I think we fans sometimes forget what a great club this is!!Many posters complain about the Little Norwich attitude but reflect it in their own ambitions. I''m watching with interest. Please let it be true.

canary cherub 1 Posted September 30, 2006 Have I missed something? What exactly is the link between Delia and Curbs? When I was a kid I used to wonder where cloud cuckoo land was. Now I know.

Now I know. [/quote]As i say they are apparently close friends and apparently he''s been lined up. I underline apparently because i havent claimed that this is definately going to happen, i have just stated a rumour thats been going around. I never knew there was a closeish relationship between the pair, but if there is and he would be willing to come then great. It could be crap i admit but there could be some truth, we can only hope. TheMarshmallowMan 0 Posted October 1, 2006 I''d be very doubtful. I think he wants a bigger club, and having done what he''s done, can you blame him?
Cluck 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Agreed. I think Curbishley lacks the hunger we need. He''s proved himself at our level with Charlton and if successful, would be off like a shot to any big club making an offer...........Mark Bowen for me........
coming on strong 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Your source is definitely correct in that the board have lost patience with Nigel. A few of the senior players are also said to be very frustrated.A loss today will probably lead them to stage a coup next week, with Nigel out by Saturday. These players hold the key to him going early; if they push - he''s gone. If we get hammered today, then Delia & co will press for him to depart and he''ll get paid off. A less severe loss today and the players will get involved. The Curbishley story sounds like a case of chinese whispers.
