Good good. If Leeds can beat QPR on Friday that's quite a big gap between the top two and the binners. Obviously they'll have games in hand but it's going to put quite a lot of pressure on them.

Is this the Russell Martin everyone is saying is a great manager?

He’s absolutely nothing special in management. Will be sacked when they fail in the Play -Offs.

The binners would have had it if Leeds won against QPR, but nobody knows how Hull and Coventry will react.

Ruffled Martin !!

Just popped over the Saints forum, quite a few want him gone, some before the playoffs for a new manager bounce!

Does have that feel, doesn't it?

Said a while back I'll be laughing until August if we beat them, with them finishing 20 points or so above us.

But the other outcome just doesn't bear thinking about...

Plenty of experts on here were telling us how Leicester were s***, and binners were loads better than Leicester as the table doesn’t lie, giving those who suggested Leicester were the best team in the league a bit of flack if I recall correctly.

Quite funny of the current top 6 Leicester wanted their manager gone, Leeds wanted Farke out, Norwich wanted Wagner out and now Soton want Martin out.
Who says success gives security lol

Of the 2 teams I always thought we had a better chance against the binners than Soton, but I have changed my mind now though.

We’d beat them in a semi or final, it’s a mental thing right now.

Posted (edited)

Time for a few reds in the next couple of games for binner and Soton players and that should have been one.

This is awful....for different reasons Leeds or Ipswich away in second legs are my 2 worst nightmares.

Only 2 ways of avoiding this are a) slipping out of the playoffs altogether (still not putting that past us) or b) finishing 5th and playing Southampton

Ncfc fixtures  Swansea (h) Birmingham (a)

WBA fixtures Sheff Weds (a) Preston (h)

We may match them but just cant see us bettering WBAs points over these games..

We got to get there ourselves yet - can see Sat game being really tense with Swansea having nothing to play for but won last 3 games then if the unthinkable happens got to go to Birmingham who more than likely will need points to stay up

Wasn’t that the ref that sent Sainz off.

We really must target 5th to get Southampton....but WBA will now surely be thinking the same

I would have thought based on their results against the binners and Soton, they would want the binners, but then you are also gambling that you may get Leeds by accident.
