RobJames 922 Posted August 11, 2023 Oh when the Sainz comes marching in Along with centre back (bacon) Lungi and young master Tomlinson in Sept. It will be like another 3 new signings. Assuming we have managed to stave off relegation, that is And whilst I am here I must commend the fine journalism from Talk bollox Radio who came up with the suggestion that once So'ton had sold a defender to the Toon, they might try for Aarons, because, err. Russel Martin used to play for us. Obvious wide of the mark speculation, but swallowed whole by some dimwits on here. So I wonder who will be leaving City for Wolves now Jiménez has been sold. Perhaps Alex Neil will be looking to sign Omo after Taylor was sold. Meanwhile tomorrow's game at St Marys will be accessible by 'other sources'. Maybe some might wish to put the words 'soccer streams' into the search engine and find a game to watch tonight. Not for any interest, but to ensure they are up to speed ready for tomorrow. Some sites 'may' require a VPN. You can use Proton VPN which is free, but limited. Enough for football., though.

As @Nuff Said, whenever I've used the club service it's been pretty solid.

A VPN allows you to access ifollow which is showing all leagues. Not sure of the cost A VPN allows you to access lord alone knows how many streaming sites. Free The streams use the same ifollow coverage, or that of Sky, BT etc when they are broadcasting the game. It is up to the individual what they decide. Maybe £10 is a hefty chunk out of a benefit payment of £70 or so a week. However, they are still City fans. The same source did allow me to watch the test series. I have never been able to find a reliable source to watch matches via unofficial streaming sites, despite suggestions and help from several other posters, @TheDarkKnight in particular (thanks!). I end up clicking through to multiple sites, some of which don’t work at all, some of which just lure me in but then bombard me with a variety of “interesting” pop ups and some of which appear to work but then glitch or freeze later.  I completely get the argument that £10 is a lot of money for some people, but given the overall cost to actually go to a game it seems a reasonably priced alternative option if you can’t be there. If you really can’t afford it, I am not going to say it’s wrong to use other methods. But whether it’s sport, music, film, TV or whatever, these things don’t just happen, the people involved need to eat, so they have at minimum cover their costs. If no-one paid, they would disappear. Since most aren’t charities, they probably need to reliably make a profit. Plus in NCFC’s case, any revenue is a small contribution to the potential success of the club.

You must be doing something odd, as it has never been easier. I cannot believe either that someone is still using the internet without using an adblocker - which stops pop ups/ads etc. Football clubs were thriving long before they were showing games. And I doubt very much the (relatively few) pennies generated makes any difference whatsoever. As to the effect, it is in reality the difference between shoplifting, and not buying an item from that shop. What income is lost when City are not showing a game ? The thought there is maybe the seller (shop) should address the reason why people are not buying the item from them. Going elsewhere instead. By all means pay for Canary TV, but what would you say to those accessing 'streams' where games not being shown ?

The number of country and foreign supporters of the club massively outstrips the Carrow Road faithful. I would guess by in excess of 100, 000. I have previously had information confirming this, but can no longer locate the source. All I remember is that Norwich City was surprisingly high on the list of foreign support, but of course hundreds of thousands behind the Manchester Uniteds of the world. We were above West Ham, I as remember that surprising me. With 70% of income from IFollow (I don't know what Canary TV gets after expenses) this represents £7 per head from a sizeable number. Sky made a fortune from televised football, why shouldn't a club like NCFC also reap benefit, on a smaller scale? I wish the 3pm rule was to be done away with. It is dinosaur's thinking.. I, for one, would gladly pay my £10 than rely on illegal streams.

RobJames 922 Posted August 12, 2023 Sky made a fortune from advertising revenue. The money made from screening the games comes from their monopoly whereby you have to pay for a 'bundle' ie a group of games, not the specific one you want to watch. Televised football is now moving away from that model. Most likely because the genie is out of the bottle. If all games were screened it would not stop streams. Much as with home taping. Once it is broadcast it is 'out there'. So the revenue would be tempered by the knowledge and practice that you do not need to pay ÂŁ10 ,when it is free. Perhaps clubs could set up an 'honesty box' arrangement where this who wish all games were available through Canary TV, could pay in ÂŁ10 when they have watched a stream. That way their conscience would be salved, the club would then get the revenue. I suspect though, there would be few takers (or givers, in that instance).
