Wrexham got crushed at the end too... Shame I'd have quite enjoyed both Ipswich and Sheff Utd taken into extra time tonight.

Would laugh but given we got spanekd by Burnley..

They also had to earn the goals against the scum. We gift wrap them.

Also scored in both ties, we couldn't lay a glove on them in either league game.

No they didn’t - you don’t score a goal in a poor 0-0, which the first game was.

It was also v much a reserve side for Burnley - who knows, possibly both sides - making our games utterly irrelevant

Burnley destroyed us and scraped past the lower league giants. Spells nothing but more misery for us. Thank god we haven’t got to play them. It was never this bad before external investment.

What hurts the most is that I genuinely can't work out if this is comedy, or a serious comment.

Comedy usually has to have an element of mirth so ............No,it isn't comedy - just put it down to boredom at such a late hour of the day 🙄

Apparently the team side that finished the game was the same line up that played us , it took there first eleven to finally end it , really didn’t want extra time did they .

Kompany made seven changes from the side which played us and used five subs, so when you say “apparently” you clearly mean “it wasn’t”.

No, just not looking to give the Binners unwarranted credit.

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter - no one puts out a side to lose, but teams use cup games to get time on the pitch for players who aren’t getting games.  I imagine all sides have done it, including Burnley and the binmen. But one thing it does do is make any results even more incomparable to one another than they would already be…though at the end of the day a defeat is a defeat.

The only thing that is relevant right now is that the scum are 6pts off the autos and are currently being chased down by the combined financial plight of Derby and Bolton...
