Pinkun Plus: advert blocking text

See bottom of attached image. Please fix this. Better yet, don't use adverts on a paid for subscription service.

I'm more concerned why they put "went against us" in brackets - did Dowell whisper that part as Smith is sensitive about such things?

Seriously - ads like that on a premium service sucks.  Why don't they put it inline with the article if they had to? Is always floating in that lower position?  Just looks awful.

It worked via my desktop but not on my phone or laptop. I don't know if it's to do with the browser - are they different on phones. I've never had the problem with other subscriptions like Newspapers or the Athletic. I wanted to support local journalism but not if I can't actually read the articles!

Sorry 😞  I can't help you with that one. I have enough problems remembering my  mobile 📱 number and up to now haven't subscribed.  Goggle Bot maybe be able to help. I'm also a bean counter. Mine are coffee beans though hopefully 30 tonnes this harvest😉

@Pete Raven hi there.  I too am suffering from the same problem.  A bit of a pain as sometimes the final sentence in an article summarises the point that the author is trying to get across.  Could the adverts be placed elsewhere if they cannot be removed altogether from this supposedly advert free subscription.  I trust you'll pass this on to the powers that be.

True. I usually switch it off to gain entry then switch it on once im in. Also works sat by a babbling brook. Having said that , its not failsafe. 

I ferkin hate ads on paid sites/ channels etc .... Cake and eat it greedy conts

For me the fault is occurring using the Android app on two different devices. Both are up to date.

Or maybe someone could email me the last two sentences of every story each day? (just kidding!)

I'm still getting this problem using the Android app on two different devices.

This should now be fixed with the addition of the commenting system on articles although please do send another screenshot if this isn't the case.

Still happening unfortunately. Screenshot attached.  Just to confirm, this is occurring on the Android app. I checked on Google Play when the last app update happened and it said 5 January 2022.

You may need to close the app fully and reopen, or if experiencing consistent issues, a delete and reinstall should resolve as that will trigger a fresh load of the config.

Many thanks Pete, my android tech items seem to work okay now.  I have even been using the comments there.

Anyone who is not seeing the comments can follow the instructions below from the FAQs page (https://www.pinkun.com/pinkunplus-the-pinkun-app#FAQ) to link up their in-app sub.
 
If you subscribed within the app and wish to leave comments and access on devices on a different platform or via our web view, please tap the 'Link your Apple Subscription'/'Link your Google Subscription' option in the ‘My Account’ section of the app and follow the steps to register an account. You will then be able to use the email address and password you register to login to the app on different devices and the web view at https://app.pinkun.com/ and leave comments within the app.
