A Load of Squit

Super Bradley Johnson

Great to see. Loved him as a player, and was always great when met him off the pitch.

One of my favourite players. Couldn't believe we sold him when we did. One of the worst decisions we've made along with selling Malky. Could have made the difference. Nice to see him back anyhow

Shame he doesn’t realise Delia and Michael are really evil megalomaniacs who are holding our club back from its rightful position as champions of Europe. 🤪

Corrected that for you as you obviously forgot the world club championship... 🤨

Always gave 100% for City. That thunderbolt goal against 1p5wich remains one of my favourite memories.

More so Johnson than Malky. Malky was a character but he was well past 30 when he left, I believe 32. He was never the fastest and it was believed he would struggle with the step up. West Ham signed him then did the same upon their promotion. He did ok for Watford when they came up but was surrounded by younger players. He made 17 appearances that season.

Johnson was well and truly in his prime. He is 34 now, but left us in the summer of 2015. So he was around 28 (turns 35 at the end of this month). Not only had he been instrumental in our promotion back to the premier league, he had also been a large part in us remaining in the premier league for three seasons in a row. With the addition that he had played CM, DM and LM. The latter notably in our promotion season where he netted goals including the absolute rocket against Ipswich.

Worth mentioning is that the player signed as his replacement, Mulumbu, makes most of this seasons signings look like nothing but utter successes.

I wish we had a player of his chutzpah now. He was a midfield general for us.

Imagine him, Gary O’Neil and Howson in their prime playing for us right now..

Player of the season, 15 goals (or more?) that season from midfield and he loved every minute of it here. The sale hurt him but it’s lovely to see he still has love for the club.
