Anyone fancy Pearson as the next manager?

The year before Leicester won the EPL they were bottom and looked certs for relegation, but rallied under Pearson in the second half of the season and stayed up comfortably. The rest is history.

Norwich City need to be thinking outside their box if they want to get out of this mess. If they are going to go down the route of finding someone to suit their structure then that rules out too many able candidates. A Farke clone is not the answer. Someone with EPL experience is the answer. It may not be enough, but I would certainly give it a shot. Even Donald Duck could do better than what we have now.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Unbelievable - his ship, like Lambert's has sailed.  Have you seen Brizzle City's latest form.  Perhaps he can bring Chris Martin with him.

Come on Vince that has to a wind up! If Farke goes the stand out candidate is Mark Robins. Knows how to work on a super tight budget that would definitely appeal to our board.

Coventry could well be playing Premiership football next season why would Robins take a step down with us?

No, Robins will not be his own man at all. No EPL managerial experience. We don't want someone who is going to appeal to the board. The board is a huge part of the problem. We want someone to shake things up and ruffle a few feathers. The board should welcome this as it is better to have people who are not all the same when looking to advance any company or organisation.

I did suggest Ranieri earlier, but Watford have since snapped him up whilst the Socialists have been dithering.

Could be but unlikely. They are definitely getting there and pulled in nearly 24,000 yesterday. The Coventry fans adore him but Norwich would be a step up. I believe his number 2 is in charge of recruitment and on a limited budget picks up some gems.

Hopefully people will finally realise what Big Vince is, those who haven't already that is, from reading this.

I think Robins is his own man and doesn’t do just as he is told. League 2 to a play off position at present in 4 seasons is impressive.

Vince ruffles feathers but isn’t always off the money.

I once went to the Football Writers Association Player of the year award.  Stevie G was the winner.
Anyway, I had the pleasure of chatting to many very famous ex players and mangers that night. Including ‘The boy’ Pearson.  He’d just won promotion I think with Hull or Leicester? But I chatted to him for about 30mins about the way to manage a team and after that I concluded he was a total knobber.
Its a no from me.

He's Alan Brazil sitting drunk somewhere on a windup right? Or is that LDC?

Potentially both. One thing's for sure, Alan Brazil is sitting drunk somewhere.

I live in Coventry due to work and there is a bit of buzz about the place because of the football.  Because they are doing well and have been away from Coventry everyone is excited to go, its almost like having a new bar or restaurant opening up in the local area, the novelty will ware off in a few months and their attendances will dwindle. Especially if they start to drop down the table. I really don't expect them to be up there all season. They haven't won in 3 maybe this is their bubble slowly being burst.

I am sorry but Norwich is a much better job than Coventry City.

I disagree. He falls into that category of manager that Norwich City always like to employ: one who considers himself lucky to get the job. Therefore will be easily controllable by Webber and the board.

No, it needs to be an experienced operator if they want to get out of this situation. But do the fans and board want to get out of it? If they do it had to be either Ranieri, Pearson, Hodgson or Bruce. But Hodgson has retired and would Bruce really want it so soon after Toon? Ranieri has gone to Watford so it leaves only Pearson.

Given that the fans and board are pretty much one and the same, I doubt they will go for someone who has been there and done it so I will therefore now go to the bookies and put a tidy sum on Donald Duck.

Leeds around evens on Sunday, are you tempted to put a small wager on?

I'm not sure replacing Farke is necessarily feasible (according to how much it may take us to pay him off), but he clearly isn't cutting it a the top level. Hodgson (as an example) would be a perfect option to come in and just 'sit on his shoulder' so to speak and guide him in what is needed...

we are currently heading for complete embarrassment in this seasons campaign and may end up setting new, unwanted records.
