Just made me laugh to think of Mahrez round at the Wards for a family dinner while Ashley ward bores him with stories about how he once scored a hattrick in the league Cup vs Bradford 😄 maybe he'll tell him what a great club we are and how he should sack off the champions league and riches of Man City and come to Norwich! It's Character Forming 1,161 Posted October 29, 2020 I still confess to a lingering feeling of disappointment about Ashley Ward after he got that hattrick for us when he joined, but we rapidly found out he was a solid but uninspired 2nd tier striker. Got fond memories of Ashley Ward personally, I wrote him a letter on his debut wishing him luck and he went and bagged a brace past Chelsea. He was my favourite player at the time I was mascot the season after and then I was there with my dad that night we beat Bradford 5-3 in the cup. One of my first away days and probably one of my favourites. Just thought it was interesting that Mahrez is now dating his daughter. He played over 50 games for us, scoring 18 goals, so would agree with solid but I think uninspired would be a bit harsh.
