I know we are flooded with players in this position, but take EMI and Todd out of that mix, and all of a sudden we don't look all that in that position behind the striker.

With LCFC wanting to sell, him being proven for the premier League, why not go get Grey. More than capable in the championship, and good enough if we are to be promoted, which is obviously our aim.

You could ask why he would come here - well we now have a track record of getting players up and running and he is only 24. Wages may be the issue?

Would anyone take him?

Would be nice but, as you said, wages. He's reportedly on £50, 000 per week. No thanks.

We've already got two players with a bit of an attitude and that's enough for me. Bringing in another who has thrown his toys out of the pram because he can't get in the Leicester team is asking for trouble

I can't see it, as mentioned the wages will be a barrier for a start and no doubt some lower PL teams may feel he's worth a punt.  I also don't see that he's the type of player we need right now.  If Buendia is to leave and Pukki is to stay, you need someone who can thread those balls through that he thrives on and I don't think DM is that player.

Good point there

As said, wages are a problem. If he's willing to drop them to our level, I'd be happy to give it a go as the attitude issues about not being picked are pretty easily resolved in some ways under the Farke regime, namely make damned sure you give it a damn good smash in training and be as professional as you can be.

I would not be surprised if Farke's had a look at him and already thought through the investigations, and come to the conclusion that he could be a bit too much to handle. Remember, they made a lot about researching Gibson's character before coming to the conclusion that he would be a good fit for a loan.

Although if we were to loan him on a similar sort of deal we have for Gibson where we can buy at a certain price if we go up, I'd be absolutely delighted.

There's not a cat in hell's chance of this happening, for numerous reasons:

1) Astronomical wages;
2) We already have two out-and-out wingers;
3) He'll definitely attract interest from lower PL clubs;
4) Question marks over his attitude.

If this happens I'll be absolutely astonished.

Leeds after him apparently.

The lower prem team predictions appear to be correct.
