Michael Starr 571 Posted December 17, 2019 Anyone else watching Villa take apart Liverpool’s u23s tonight? Currently 3-0 after 36 minutes. That doesn’t help us!

How I Wrote Elastic Man 1,330 Posted December 17, 2019 The pub next door to the one I'm in now doesn't have TV, but the beer is 200kr cheaper. I think I'll move on 😀

Villa have had three shots on goal and scored four goals. Liverpool U12s are actually the better team, weirdly enough.
Michael Starr 571 Posted December 17, 2019 Ahhhh it's the mickey mouse cup. What a relief. Honestly. I feared Villa were going to boost their goal difference.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) A excellent result considering that Villa look increasingly likely to be one our our rivals to avoid the drop. The Cup is not actually Mickey Mouse enough for them to take it lightly either ... we were once proud Wembley winners after all, so they will likely take it quite seriously now that they have advanced so far. More games, a split focus, more fatigued limbs and, of course, more injuries could be the consequences of their success. All to City's advantage then ... let us hope. I will also add that, in manager Dean Smith, they have a very inexperienced individual at the helm who could not yet be possibly up to it all. He is a rookie Premier League manager on a learning curve and up against it. He lacks the experience of a dog fight let alone such a challenging dual ambition. It might well prove too hard for him to handle. The expectations of all those Villains desperate for another trophy in their club's cabinet at last will add to the pressure. duke63 737 Posted December 18, 2019 Good distraction for Villa to have. One game from Wembley. We all remember how distracting that can be.
CDMullins 498 Posted December 18, 2019 My last look with about five minutes to go saw Liverpool with; More possession More Shots More corners More Dangerous attacks. The young boy Harvey Elliot looks very, very good.

ZLF 334 Posted December 18, 2019 i think the villa keeper was motm, which says a lot.
cornish sam 1,039 Posted December 18, 2019 Even branding that squad as u21 is being generous, average age of 19.5! Also, not a single shirt number below 50 tells you how seriously LFC viewed the match...

That wasn't actually a typo, I was joking about how young the team was - but I can see how it might've looked like I meant to type 'Under 21s' and got them the wrong way round by mistake! 🙂
