Grando 345 Posted January 11, 2019 A friend in Leicester just rang me with this excellent news! Thanks Foxes!
Branston Pickle 4,169 Posted January 11, 2019 That’s good news - does it make Wes more likely to play?
lake district canary 4,878 Posted January 11, 2019 I wouldn't get too excited, they still have Rodrigues and Gayle and if they played Wes, it is sod's law that he would create something for them.
unique 466 Posted January 11, 2019 It’s not just good news for Saturday, but great news for the rest of WBA’s promotion challenge. He has been producing goals and assists for fun.
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,486 Posted January 11, 2019 Barnes has played pretty much every game for them and scored or assisted 15 goals. He was such a key component of their team and the way they play. Whether they can find someone else to bring in on loan will be a big test for them this month. There is talk they will attempt to sign Bradley Dack. Sod’s law says they will go and get Phil Foden on loan or something equally ridiculous.
Branston Pickle 4,169 Posted January 11, 2019 Given his influence, it would be like us having one of our most creative outlets - perhaps Onel or Mo - ruled out for the season. Clearly they have a decent squad and can bring in players, but he’ll surely be missed.

Dack would be an excellent signing, I'd love to see him at NCFC. But whoever they bring in, he won't be available for tomorrow.
hogesar 10,949 Posted January 11, 2019 If Foden was allowed out on loan it'd be to a Prem Club, I imagine.

I read it as 'ridiculously good'... but I'm sure they'll pull something out of their hat. Dack would be a great signing, but surely would command £10m in this market. Parachute payments will tell, I guess.
BobLoz3 622 Posted January 11, 2019 I suggested we should look at Dack for this season a while back. I really rate him and could have given us another excellent attacking option. Likely to cost a fair bit though and can't see Blackburn letting him go for a small fee! As we all know, that ain't the world we're operating in now. WBA could easily afford him, I reckon. Although I did hear a funny story that he has a ridiculously huge entourage, so he isn't exactly humble!
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,486 Posted January 11, 2019 Blackburn are being bullish with Dack at the moment and talk is of at least £15m needed to get him. Apparently his attitude isn’t fantastic though.
hogesar 10,949 Posted January 11, 2019 You'd think West Brom are in a good enough position and still have the finances to get a decent replacement in but unlikely to be as good as Barnes' has been for them, so can only be a positive.
CANARYKING 720 Posted January 11, 2019 Is Gayle fit ?
Branston Pickle 4,169 Posted January 11, 2019 Gayle is a risk, I believe he’s only just coming back from a Hamstring injury so might not start?
splendidrush 745 Posted January 11, 2019 This can only be a negative for Albion for the rest of the season. Getting someone in who has a bigger impact than Barnes has had thus far would be genius.
