CANARYKING 707 Posted January 10, 2018 So much for we don’t need to sell in January. Let’s see Webber talk himself out of this embarrassment. Come on Bailey and Davitt get him on the phone NOW
king canary 8,754 Posted January 10, 2018 Seriously, why is Webber getting the stick for this? This lies with the owners.

JF 694 Posted January 10, 2018 I’m honestly surprised that the player hasn’t bought into the owners vision for the future of the club! Maybe Nephew Tom isn’t the messiah that we are all expecting him to be?
alex_ncfc 686 Posted January 10, 2018 Because we are a soft touch, and always have been under Smith and Jones. £11m for a player of AP''s quality in this day and age and the current market is beyond a joke!
JF 694 Posted January 10, 2018 It’s nothing to do with Webber. It’s in his interests for the club to be as successful as possible. Unfortunately he will have to work within the restraints put on the club by our potless owners
Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted January 10, 2018 So the person responsible for transfers isn''t the person responsible because of our horrid owners? Ok. I don''t actually have too much of a problem with Pritchard going, decent player that he is he is not irreplaceable.
Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 10, 2018 Because we''re funded by the sale of a few cookbooks when we''re not in the prem and don''t have some magical mystery Asian/American guy to bail us out of not living within our means. We''ll have to wait for the current owners to kindly foxtrot Oscar or wait for another Lambert style miracle. Guest Posted January 10, 2018 Surely it has a lot to do with Webber.Webber, predicted “major changes” during the summer and when asked why he had chosen to join Norwich he said the club were not only bigger than Huddersfield Town but he had doubts about the West Yorkshire side''s future plans and ambition. His words. So they have stolen one of, if not, the best players at a much bigger club.People in his position should keep their mouths shut when it comes to other clubs. Samwam27 606 Posted January 10, 2018 It''s saying the deal is £12m, rising to £14m. Why is that giving in so easily? If we can unearth another Trybull (or attacking midfielder) then we''ll move on from Pritchard.Let''s hope the scouts know who to go for with the money! norfolkngood 1,174 Posted January 10, 2018 we are skint hard to haggle when you need the money as much as us if thats not the case we could of kept our players and the owner fund the short fall but Delia has not got the money for that so we had to sell

How’s our financial position anything to do with Webber? If he was worried about Huddersfield’s ambitions the what the Fuck does he make of the Nephew Tom master plan... Because he said he had doubts about Huddersfield''s future plans and ambition. And they have just bought arguably our best player. And yet we didn''t have to sell him for financial reasons. king canary 8,754 Posted January 10, 2018 I''m sure our owners didn''t say ''you have to sell Alex Pritchard for £11m''However I''m sure they said ''if you want to bring anyone else in you need to sell someone first.''And ''we need you to cut the wage bill in half.''And ''our finances dictate we need to fill a £25m black hole.''So when a club comes knocking to pay £11m for one of your players its difficult to say no unless you''ve got some serious tricks up your sleeve. So when a club comes knocking to pay £11m for one of your players its difficult to say no unless you''ve got some serious tricks up your sleeve. But surely they would have projected for this. If it looks likely we won''t be promoted, we will take a £7M overdraft.Pritchard wasn''t expected to be fit until after Christmas. And we have been repeatedly told that we are in the process of rebuilding and I would have thought a 24 year old should have been a central part of that.Of course the player''s head may have been turned but keeping him until at least the summer may have, with an improvement in the playing side, persuaded him his future was with us. king canary 8,754 Posted January 10, 2018 The £7m overdraft doesn''t even begin to fill the hole in finances though. Come the summer we have to further slash he wage budget and we have to make a sizeable profit in transfer fees. Webber isn''t the cause of any of this. Capt. Pants 5,008 Posted January 10, 2018 With January notoriously a sellers market and clubs panic buying it is very surprising we dropped our pants with 3 weeks of the transfer window still remaining. Unfortunately the only hard bargain our club wants to drive is with the fans.

FCC 94 Posted January 10, 2018 Surprised we didn’t get more interest and some competition for his signature. A nice profit though, shame Weber spouted how poor the scouting was with, Pritchard, Godfrey, Maddison, and Murphy all being here before him. Pressure on now to start building a competitive squad for next season.
iron_stan 0 Posted January 10, 2018 also they give in so easily because they dont have the money to run a modern day football club and everyone knows itif you ran a business and needed to purchase somethig from a competitor whose money is weak you wouldnt give them a leg up would you? youd undermine and undercut them and play on their desperation, as everyone else has done for the last 20 yearsdelia out
