Villa v City Match thread

Recommended Posts

The sooner this abortion of a season drags it''s weary carcass to the end of the 46th fixture, the better.

It''s the hope that kills you.

We seem to need 5 opportunities to every 1 of the opposition''s to score. Does seem odd.

I think we need Olly on (with Cameron, who is brilliant at disrupting defences). He''s our most clinical finisher.

Have we lost already?

If past form, results, tactics and personnel are anything to go by, then yes we have, I would suggest. We haven''t come back from such a situation at any time this season. I just hope your pessimism sees a change. We can but hope (and pray)!

No-one wants to hear that VK - come on, kick them while they are losing.

Should be more concerned with the rubbish side we are and not concern whether Ipswich are going down

At 70 minutes we should be 4-0 down if they had taken their chances

60 minutes gone, 1-0 down, needing a win, and still we play the lone striker. Sums it all up really!

Yes they do.

Sadly we have recently attracted ''customers'' with a heightened sense of entitlement and a right to complain.

I blame Martin Lewis.

You don''t get 67% possession by mucking about with extra strikers.

Is anyone really that surprised at how this is going given that we have Neil''s number 2 in charge who plays exactly the same way? Nothing will change until the clearout of players AND coaches happens!

Alan Irvine is Alex Neil in disguise. Same reliance and faith in ageing players who have consistently performed badly this season.

If we lose this game it will hopefully remove the faint hopes of play offs, so that we can, at last, focus on the future.

From three attempts on target?

How do we get some of them bonus goals awarded?

And that brings what?! Goals win games, not possession!

Pinto OFF

Now our stand in right back will have to go to left back

It just goes from bad to worse
