Explains a lot about the priorities of the current management hierarchy. Talk about fiddling while Rome, well, smoulders.............

It is a bit worrying. McNally and Bowkett screamed business and did a very good job.

Balls and Moxey? Hmm...

It''s all a bit confusing now, didn''t McNally & Bowkett waste Lamberts golden legacy? Also, this screaming they did, was that the incident a Watford?

What should he be doing?

Not a loaded question but I have no idea what it is that everyone expects our non-exec Chairman to be doing at the moment.

The board have (seemingly) decided to stick by the manager and any decisions regarding transfer negotiations in or out will be carried out by Moxey I presume?

Be fair! Ed''s role is a non paying chairman''s role, its not like we pay him £90k for a months work.

No, not at all. Never mentioned the AGM?

He''s a non-executive Chairman, what is it you want him to be doing at the moment?

Simple enough question.
Non exec chairman will be there purely to chair board meetings and act as a sounding board for advice, surely.
Yes i agree with what you say Lessingham but swanning around the country on the Strictly Tour and pop up on our TV screens every five minutes which he is doing hardly has him being available for that.

Didn''t realise you managed his diary Tilly.

Perhaps you can post up all the board meetings he is missing in order to further his TV career; once we know that I''m sure we can all share your concern.
That''s the bit we don''t know, how often do the board speak between meetings? how much of the day to day stuff is left with Jez and he speaks with Delia and MJW weekly ?
[Y]

Quite. We don''t know. Which is why it''s absurd that people are using this as yet another thing to have a dig about. For all we know it could be having zero impact on his role at the club.

I mean, video calling, conference calls, emails and even landline telephones are all open and available. Presumably you could have a board meeting with each member in a different country?

I don''t remember this question being asked of Bowkett, who - while he was chairman of Norwich City - was also (not all at the same time) chairman of  six or more other companies. With Bowkett the assumption was he could fit all that in, or perhaps posters were so ignorant they didn''t realise he had this other work and would have objected if they bothered to make themselves better informed...

It''s not fishing John, it''s true.

Some people can''t see past his party political allegiance much in the same way as I suspect that people can''t see past Delia Smith being a woman.
Bowkett wasn''t a Labour politician though.
How do you know he was not a Labour voter though ? I mean i am fairly sure if Delia had not been open about her socialist views with her lifestyle and moderate wealth you would have her down as a conservative voter Duncan. So yes as you brought politics into it i think you were fishing.

I can''t believe anybody in this day and age can be that misogynistic, after all Delia made her money by being in the kitchen, where every woman should be!😜

How ridiculous.

Tony Benn was born into wealth and would have Inherited a peerage had he not renounced the title and he is one of the truly great Labour politicians. It''s attitudes like this - she''s rich, she must be a Tory - that I''m talking about.

So thanks for proving my point. 👍
It''s true though. Many Norwich fans base their opinion on Balls'' political party. Completely absurd, NFN view of course.
Very true HHS. I have my views on Ed Balls the Chairman and Ed Balls the politican.
