The Bristol Nest 597 Posted January 20, 2016 Cheers for that. It was good to see that they believe in is ability to improve us.
Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 20, 2016 All sounds great! I wonder if there''s a chance he will play as the main striker following what they said?
KeiranShikari_2 0 Posted January 20, 2016 Reckon there will be games where we play Hoolahan and Naismith in the side, so probably.
ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 20, 2016 I have started to feel absurdly optimistic. I just get the feeling - from everything I see & hear about him - that he''s exactly the player we need , particularly as an inspiration to our attack.Incidentally, i''d love to see a rerun of the picture of him & Alex confronting each other, this time suited & booted - & smiling! The Bristol Nest 597 Posted January 20, 2016 Me too Ron. I have gone from unfussed by the idea to really quite excited.
ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 20, 2016 One thing I meant to add was that I now really pray he can stay injury free!
Fuzzar 1,855 Posted January 20, 2016 Thanks for the link. From the words I could actually decipher, I get the impression he''s generally thought of as "sound, like" on Merseyside.
morty 0 Posted January 20, 2016 I wonder when the last time was that we signed a decent quality striker, from another Premiership side?
Haggerdoo 6 Posted January 20, 2016 Some great examples of his range of finishing herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3hhqJVIOAk
Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 20, 2016 Nice vid! His movement most impressed me there.
Grant Holts Moustache 113 Posted January 20, 2016 Sounds like we after years of searching we finally have a player who can compete with Wes and offer something a little different in that role too. Everyone is very complimentary of him as a player and his character. Seems like he will fit in well with the club''s community ethos and hopefully become a big player on the pitch for us too. Exciting times.
lake district canary 4,820 Posted January 20, 2016 In answer to the op, Holt was more than a striker and Naismith is more than a midfielder! Great signing and can only be good for the team/squad.
Trevor Hockey's Beard 605 Posted January 20, 2016 Do we risk him against Liverpool? I can see him coming on as a sub and doing a Gary O''Neill after about 5 minutes - post match quote : "Sorry guys, I thought it was a local Derby still."
The Bristol Nest 597 Posted January 20, 2016 I cannot remember when we signed an established prem striker. Have we ever? Good stuff.
firststeps 0 Posted January 20, 2016 Well done Lake District Canary... No, we haven''t found a new Holt, Holt was a striker, Naismith is an attacking midfielder. End of! We need a striker.
The Great Wall Of Tettey 0 Posted January 20, 2016 We 100% need a new striker but I also think he''ll get the best out of mbokani. Hoolahan trying to thread balls through to someone who can''t take players on isn''t exactly working, would much prefer Naismith lurking around him for knock downs, he also provides an extra presence in the box that hoolahan doesn''t really add

BigManInTheBarclay 84 Posted January 22, 2016
Some great examples of his range of finishing herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3hhqJVIOAk
You could easily replace him with Holty in that video....very similar

He''d drag us through games sometimes and gee others on. It''s hopeful that Naismith will have this never say die mentality too.
