If Villa do sign him they would end up with a very expensive contract on a player who will get injured after 5 games... I feel for Sturridge as he was a great player, but his injuries have hampered him. How he can command such wages is actually beyond me. Do we think Idah is ready though, really, for the first team? Like, even for a spot on the bench? I would suggest that the answer is no. Farke and co haven't even sent him out on one of these loans yet, that they tend to do with a younger player when they think they'll break through. On the other hand, could be that they just feel he needs to stay around the team, as he's done so well in the U23's. It's a weird one.

Funny you should say this. I had a bizarre dream a while back in which I walked in on Tettey, who was having a wee in the toilet I needed to use. I apologised prefusely, of course, and he just turned around to me with that trademark smile on his face and kept repeating these immortal words, "Tettey can't afford Christmas!" It was weird as fook but I woke up laughing my head off so it was worthwhile 😂

Who cares? £7 million is too much for a player who will sit on the bench. I presume the very fact we suggested that we'd buy him was something that helped us secure the loan deal, though. It would have also been something Sheff Weds could tell the media so it didn't look as though they were simply loaning to a competitor without any thought. We're not tied into anything. Jordan is a great character but Sheff Weds valuation of a 29 year old, in the last year of his contract, is way out of line. Let's move on. We can likely get better for that sort of money (sorry Jordan)

I don't know, I think it's fine to listen to them if you enjoy them. The Smiths is slightly different, as there were 4 members and I'd wager that most of them had left leaning politics... If Morrissey had his way back then, they would have probably been called "Morrissey and The Smiths" and instead of "The Queen is Dead" he may have called that album "Rise of The Reich" 😉😉

Just read a separate article about him too. What an absolute douche he is nowadays... Support for Tommy Robinson, recently wearing a For Britain badge during a performance, support for the far right, some of the comments he's made about immigration and Britain "not being at all British" anymore. Shocking stuff. Pffft... Do me a favour mate! Problem is, he often uses his vegetarianism as some sort of justification about him not being racist??! It is completely bizarre.

He's a top, top man. I can't wait to see what he brings and I do genuinely believe that he wants to be here this season, at least, to see what else we can achieve. His stock will only rise with this latest Premiership experience, so we should enjoy him while he's here. BYG is completely right though. He's fantastic with handling the media and I would expect that his approach in that regard is filtering down throughout the club too. All part of why we don't have this 'disconnect' so much now between the fans and the team. Anyway. He's made no secret that he'd like to move on, but what would be more impressive than going to a club which already has the glory and all the money he could ask for? Helping in establishing us as a proper top flight team and eventually pushing for higher positions in the Prem.
