1. Sorry, but cannot agree that James Brown invented Hip Hop. His beats and his songs generally were heavily sampled on 80''s and early 90''s Hip Hop, but he did not invent it. Like artists of his era, he did not invent Hip Hop, but merely enhanced it, and possibly even encouraged it. A massively influential figure in music and although many look to Elvis as the be all and end all of music, the godfather of soul is up there in the same bracket in my opinion. A great artist, and clearly Huckerby, as we all know, has great taste.
2. Scientists are understood to have discovered what they believe the largest recent gathering of monkey spankers at Portman Road. Their blurred expressions, funny walks, unintelligible dialect, unusual clothing, unbelievable optimism and blue and white glasses made them a fascinating study group.
3. Good post Dan, and as others have said, a warm welcome. On the first game of the season, I was particularly impressed with Routledge, who looked very sharp. After your first game at Carrow Road, and results/performances since, are you now feeling, as I am sure many Norwich fans are, that it was definitely two points dropped, rather than one point gained, and are you wondering how significant that result will be come the end of the season?
4. Huckerby in Greens this morning with his trusty I Pod on full blast. His music of choice this morning was none other than soul legend James Brown Discuss.............
5. have a look at www.chavscum.co.uk to find out what all the fuss is about. Without this turning into a "which pub is best" type thread on what is, after all, meant to be football related, I would also say that Norwegian Blue, Squares, and in particular Lloyds, are totally chavved up and should be avoided, especially on a Saturday night after football. Much better up the road in Slug, Ha Ha, Orgasmic in my opinion.
6. Quite agree Kenny Foggo. You cannot drop Fleming. Surely Holt, although a workmanlike workhorse with several lungs, must be rested for the next game.
7. G Unit,   Your choice depends on:- 1) How old you are? 2) What you class as Chav? 3) What you are used to.? If you are under say 25, would say that Mercy is probably your best option, near the train station, on a road called Prince of Wales Road. Bit chavvy, but probably least chavvy of "under 25" clubs. If you are over 25, have deep pockets, and definitely do not want "chav" then Optic, which is also on Prince of Wales Road, is your best bet. Bit small, but the best in town by a mile. If you are over 25 or under 25, or indeed any age, and are a chav, then you will be spoilt for choice. Go in most places and you will feel at home.
8. Good post, about time somebody talked some sense on here.
9.
Probably because spending £2m on a player who isn''t a proven goal scorer in the Prem would have been utter madness for us this summer. Had we been able to sign him for a lower fee (£1m at the most) th...
mcsncfc - you have hit the nail on the head with another excellent reply. Could not have put it better myself.
10. I can remember him playing, good player, but now I think he is a pretty obnoxious big nosed clown, so I am suprised to hear his comments regarding Huckerby. He must have had councelling.
11. Mulryne or Bentley..... MMMmm, tricky one that. Let me see, the overweight inconsiderate unfit lazy "free kick specialist" or the next Bergkamp. (Flame suit on!)
12. In my opinion Bentley has been a definite asset to the team this season, but like all of us, he can be criticised if his performances are not to up to scratch. He was poor (by his standards) on Sunday. I personally felt that he let the Tottenham crowd get to him, and this is possibly down to his age/experience. However, I do not agree that he needs to calm down and make simple passes, etc. I feel that that he thinks too quickly for his team mates and makes passes/runs which certain players, aside from Hux, do not see or latch on to. This is not Bentley''s problem, it is more to do the with the "first division" thinking which applies to Holt, Safri, etc. In time, these players will adapt to his play which will help the team. Bentley''s corner against Palace and his shot against Man Utd were both exceptional. What other player at the club could have done this except Hux? Yes, his Newcastle goal was helped by Given, but at least he had the vision and confidence to shoot, and it got us back in the game. I still believe he was the best "buy" of the summer, and I am confident that this will be proven throughout the season.
13. Personally, I think the Sunderland pre match music is very effective. Mind you, our PA system sounds like it needs a bit spending on it, so I dont think it would sound quite the same. A-Team would at least be funny. I aint getting on no plane Worthy!!
14. Why dont we tell everyone where to park illegally and spoil the access rights of people who live in these areas on every single match day? Bet those with small children, old people, disabled people will be so pleased with this, you may even get invited in for a cup of tea when the match is over. Probably best not to drink it though!!!
15. Houllier is hot tip for Blackburn post apparently. Lets face it though, any managerial upset/sackings, etc at Palace, WBA, Everton, Blackburn, Man City, Fulham, Bolton, etc has got to be good news for us, as long as NW is not pursued by any of them of course.
16. I think that James will be in for the poland game, then for some of the home internationals, Green may get a shout. I dont think it is a Sven against Green situation. As "no legs" said, his time may come when he no longer wears the yellow and green, but it may be sooner than that if James keeps up the old disappearing ball act. No goalkeeper is error free though. Derby away anyone????
17. Hurrican Francis will put on a show. Just hope he is not too good, as do not want people sniffing around him in January
18. I have just been to Suffolk and as yet, have not had a chance to wash, so I apologise if I offended.
19. West Brom have bought badly, are poorly managed and will not finish above us. Whilst we will not finish top six, as previous posters have said, any finish above the bottom three would be a very good season, and I for one, would be very happy with that. We can stay up, so dont worry!! Now, where is my medication......................
20. He is a northerner and a Man City Fan, so Sinclair, although a good signing, is not very likely. Gabbidon has got to be the one to nail down.
