1. Apologies for the following non-sequitur, but I''ll tell you what I miss:Grant Holt.Following that up with another complete non-sequitur (as I can''t be bothered going into a different thread):We were too nice against Arsenal.  We stood around, and oohhed, and ahhed too much at their intricate passing. If we''re going to be compact and defensive, we - on occasion - need to be nasty with it.  Whilst Tetty played well, we missed Johnson''s bite in the tackle.
2.
http://www.pinkun.com/home/who_are_the_10_people_who_played_biggest_role_in_getting_norwich_city_from_league_one_to_debt_free_in_premier_league_1_2867556   My 10 1. McNally 2. Lambert 3. Grant Holt - Awesome in League 1, Championship and Premier League. 4. Wes Hoolahan - As above 5. Leeds United - Ok not a person! But still a big reason! 6. Korey Smith - Awesome in League one 7. Chris Martin - As above 8. David Fox - That ball! 9. Tony Mowbray - For hammering Cardiff prior to that ball!! 10. Bryan Gunn - For signing Holt and Keeping Hoolahan.
Yeah, that''s pretty much it I think- might switch out Korey for Michael Nelson however.I think I''m taking this whole list thing too seriously.
3. I''m glad that he appears to have ''bulked up'' a bit.  He was jumping out of tackles that were coming in from 10 minutes into the future, last season.Still seems a little shy at putting his foot in (especially compared to his wing compatriot, Snodgrass), but I was very impressed with him today.  Not quite as quick as Redmond (who is?) but had consistently good end product.
4. If Tetty plays as a ball winning midfielder and restricts both his time WITH the ball, and the distance of his passes to a minimum, he does very well, like today. If he doesn''t, he doesn''t do so well.  Each individual within a squad has their own strengths, and I would say Tetty''s ability to intercept the ball / reading of the game (from a defensive perspective) is the best in the squad.  Johnson is a better all round midfielder, however.
5. My man of the match today, marginally ahead of a lot of great individual performances all round (''cept poor old Wolfy - yet I retain faith in his predatory instincts). He''s nailed on for a run in the first team on that showing.
6. Even if the worse should happen, and we don''t get anything from this game, at least we played football for the majority of the first half today.Very refreshing, and great performance so far.
7.
During the first year back in the Premier League the central midfield was physically weak and terrible at winning the ball. However, they often got away with it because they were always looking to get forward and press high up the pitch. It seemed unanimous amongst the fans and management that we needed a physically strong central midfielder capable of winning the ball. This was epitomised by the 5-0 defeat to Fulham at the start of last season.Tettey later came into the team and we soon went through a great run of results. It seemed Hughton had found exactly the player we had been missing to perform that job.Tettey then picked up some injures and tried playing through them so obviously his form suffered. The results of the team suffered too.Tettey now looks fully fit again. He is the best player in the squad at winning the ball and forcing the opposition into mistakes. He is physically strong so doesn''t get pushed off the ball. His successful passing stats are one the best in the squad.Has Hughton completely forgotten how important Tettey was to our great run of results last season? If Hughton wants to make us hard to beat then he should play Tettey in front of the back 4 to allow our more attacking players the freedom to do what they do best.
Tetty is excellent without the ball, but eye-wateringly TERRIBLE with it.  If he can somehow learn to pass [greater than] 5 yards without relinquishing possession, I''d be interested in seeing him start.  As it is currently, Johnson is his superior in most regards (with perhaps the exception of interceptions, which I think is Tetty''s true forte)
8. My favourite Downfall subtitling yet.Kudos to the creator.
9.
Exactly - relegation fodder, look like a team that will go down without a fight unfortunately.
Not really, we look dreadful, granted - but there are worse teams than us (at least 3).
10.
Shocking performances from certain individuals today.
No need for tact here.  It''s the pinkun messageboard.  Name and Shame!
11.
We need Bunn back.
Lol. Good one.
12. Tighten it up in midfield, bring on Tetty for either Elmander or RVW and play the percentages on set pieces is about the best I would hope for now, assuming of course that the officials will actually blow the whistle in our favour at any point...Won''t be pretty but could snatch a valuable point.* Tactics brought to you by Football Manager 2012: 5 championship medals hanging on my wall (I made them and printed them out myself)
13. More poor officiating, that was our corner.  I think we could go 90 minutes easily and not get a single decision today.
14. With the exception of Johnson we don''t look very motivated.  Fer looks positively catatonic.  Hopefully we''ll get in without conceding again and someone can put a rocket into their backsides.
15. Ref is being too influenced by the home crowd at the moment.  I find it irritating.
16. You''d think teams would have learnt not to show Redmond the inside by now.  Not complaining however... :D
17. Snoddy is a bit below par today.  Time for Pilks.
18.

Saw Tettey in Longwater Sainsburys today. Cheeky beggar just ignored me.Did he try and walk forward but find himself complete incapble of doing so?
I was there as well, so I can confirm what happened next:He suddenly realised he had forgotten his scotch egg, so dropped deep back to the first aisle to retrieve it.  Upon which, a  young assistant remembered that Mr Tetty was after a tasty scotch egg, and very gently threw his tasty spherical treat towards him, which he promptly tried to control, and skyed the poor unfortunate scotch egg into the nearest Asda carpark.
19. An elegantly written, if not (in my opinion) largely irrelevant comparison with 20 years ago. Also, it''s "losing", not "loosing".  Sorry to be a grammar-corrector, but this particular typo always irritates me.
20.
That was utter utter dog cr@p. Time for a busty week of the transfer window!
Good idea, pretty sure that even Jordan can pass better than the performance we saw today.
21.
Hm.. I honestly thought we had more about us than this. Maybe we''ve not developed as much as the summer would have us believe?
We bought quality up front, but still have no-one to supply them.  With the exception of Hoolahan who is knocking on a bit now...
22. Garrido has been poor today.  Very poor.  Time for Olsson to start next week.
23.
Hull Tiggers eh? We are certainly playing Pooh at the moment!
+1 internet point.  Best pun today.
24.
Someone get Tettey off, put Hoolahan on and then drop Fer deep.
Agreed.
25. Not sure why the referee is allowing the game to be stopped for on the pitch treatment.
