  2. I can now reveal (based on BBC predictor) the final table for the season. Man U 90 Man C 83 Chelsea 76 Liverpool 65 Arsenal 63 Tottenham 62 Everton 59 -- City -- 53 Fulham 50 Stoke 50 Newcastle 49 West Ham 46 Swansea 45 West Brom 43 Wigan 40 Reading 39 Sunderland 37 ------------- Aston Villa 36 QPR 35 Southamption 32
  3. Sign the man. An excellent alternative to Hoolahan.
  4. I''m sure it''s been reported before, but this is what Fulham are doing - and reportedly without any loss of seats during construction ... http://www.fulhamfcstadium.com/design-concept/
  5. Are we still obliged to accomodate away supporters if the ground is under redevelopment ?
  6. And what''s wromg with his prediction v results table ? It shows Norwich P 12 W 1 L 4 L 7 Points 7 Psn 18th Which accoridng to his chart is 3 positions too low - and there was me thinking we were sitting in 13th... ... still he has QPR a massive 13 points too many and 10 positions too high!
  7. " The board have said it would cost £45m just to bring FCR to a 35k capacity. If they are serious about having a bigger stadium then you can surely expect them to be looking at other options that give better value for money, so that the club can grow and funds are not taken away from the playing side of the club. " This is the item I don''t understand. How can inflaction have raised the cost to such a high figure - this is still a recession isn''t there? Hope we are not creating another Cullumgate fantasty figure. And yes of course any stadium renovation will take away from the available "football budget", the question is what percentage of the buget would that be - unfortunately TV income and wages are linked.
  8. Buy them a canary for christmas. If they don''t get the hint at least the chirping will drive everyone crazy.
  9. Villa - Bennett, R and E, Hoolahan, Holt, Ayala... Even more sneaky - only offer to buy 4 but get 5
  10. Best of luck at Cardiff Simon. If this does signal the end of your Norwich career, then my sincere thanks, you have been a credt to Norwich and your profession.

  12. The Man Utd bit is pretty accurate though. And it could have been written about Man City or Chelsea and still had some tructh to it.
  13. "I feel gutted. I have put my heart and soul into this with my other shareholders and done all we can to give support to players and all management. I can only apologise to the QPR fans. We keep fighting." Humm... soon, but not yet? Man U up next - no point in getting a new man in for a thrashing there ...
  14. I will probably regret predicting this - but they won''t score
  15. " Basically we have a 2m cash shortfall at the end of season as a result of the 11m external debt we have to repay this season." Best get out the blanket then ...
  16. " I find myself supporting the Yankees " Unfourtunate. Bit like watching Chelsea. I commend to you another yellow and green team - Oakland A''s.
  17. ESPN are not. But like all the Fox owned stations, they have been given their talking points, so never let facts get in the way of the spin ...
  18. " I want Southampton to get absolutely smashed in the second half " I''d prefer a nice 2-0 defeat, it will keep the current management in place for a few more weeks...
  19. IMO we already see the bottom three, as defences for QPR, Soton and Reading are shockingly bad; although it could still be squeeky bum time for Villa and maybe - Sunderland.
  20. " Gatecrashers tend not to use turnstiles " You still need a ticket to get in don''t you ? And this ere nothing to stop a club from selling a specific "safe standing" seat. Here in LA, the Galaxy have set up two standng areas - complete with "chant co-ordinators" to help create some much needed atmosphere. And those areas are packed - one with ex-pat Brits the other with Mexicans; fun to see the different styles :-) Once again there seems to too much restriction on personal freedom under the excuse of lack of personal responsibility or security I''m afraid. One of the most depressing outcomes of "the war on terror".
  21. A lesson from here on the West Coast, another team that plays in yellow and green, and joint lowest payroll - so no established stars on this team. Way out of contention to win their division half way thru the season, and then lost key players to injury - so all doom and gloom eh? Nope, won more games than any other team in the second half of the season, win their division, and now this evening just came back from 3-1 down in the final inning of their playoff game to win 4-3... Sound familiar ?
  22. " Is everyone sick of everyone going on about try and be positive its only a few games in and we still have loads of games to go and they''ll be wins " As you ask, no.
