1.
Another bid? Didn''t realise we''d bid for Austin?
Bit of a mess up on my part, I seem to remember that there was a ''£14m package'' enquiry not too long ago. Not an actual bid as such. Maybe we''ve gone back with a restructured package or something.
2. Odds don''t usually drop that suddenly and drastically without something going on. I suspect we''ve made another bid, that said I still don''t think we''ll get him.
3. I''m sorry, but I''m almost certain that we will be playing 442 multiple times this year.
4. I agree that when it comes to this amount of money, we may as well have another go at Austin. If his leg really is useless then we''d find it out in the medical and cancel the move with no harm done (Except to the player himself). I like the look of Afobe though, and hope we get him. I''m just worried about the amount we are going to have to spend on him.
5. If anyone else spent over £8m on Afobe I would have laughed. But after this whole Grabban debacle we are getting quite desperate.
6. Was reading the Celtic forums, sounds like VVD has been woeful in both legs. One quote saying he''d be happy to sell for £12 let alone £12m.
7. Don''t think we should sell to Bournemouth. Gives the player what he wants and encourages other players to follow his antics. We don''t need the money, loan him back to the championship where he belongs.
8. After a quick flick through his twitter account, I''ve come to the conclusion that he is in fact a moron.
9. If this is true, which it probably (hopefully) isn''t, I hope he never plays for us again.
10. Unless we can force him into handing in a transfer request, we are going to have to pay well over the odds. Only a week to go, wonder if we''ll really push the boat out...
11. I don''t think he''ll want to come here. I have no idea how much he is on at QPR, but i seriously doubt it is within our wage structure. The £15m is just one half of the commitment. Besides, I''m almost certain he''s waiting on spurs or Southampton to take him on deadline day.
12. I''m usually a bit of a pessimist, but they were certainly not ''much'' better in the first half. A very even first half and I don''t know how we didn''t win after the second. I also disagree that Shaqiri was ''worth the wait'', I thought Brady had him under control mostly the whole game. We also seemed to look much more dangerous down the left side of the pitch as he doesn''t seem keen on tracking back. He did show glimpses of what he can be about though. Other than those two quotes, I can''t really fault the report and agree with most of it.
13. This is getting a bit embarrassing for us now. Not that I don''t rate Walters as a player, in fact the opposite. A £1.5m is just offensive to Stoke and to the player, he has played pretty much every game of the last six PL seasons for them. Why on earth are they going to sell him for that...
14. Was a fantastic performance. I can''t have been the only one who was annoyed that he didn''t get any praise on motd. Two fantastic assists which if they had been done by David Silva would have been talked about for half the analysis.
15. I think that it debunks the theory he has flat out rejected us as Neil thinks it''s still a possibility. That said, i cant really see him joining us over another safer Italian club. If we do get him, it will presumably be because we''ve offered him a pretty good but short deal. Maybe with a relegation release clause in there. The question is, do we really want a player who has to be thoroughly convinced to join us and has an easy way to leave should things go wrong.
16. While I doubt he is really on our radar, i am very interested to see how he performs this season.
17. Let''s be honest, we can bid as much as we like and offer him our best package possible. But when it comes down to it, he''s going to choose Southampton over us.
18. Pikachu would at least shift some shirts in Japan
19. Have we concluded that this quote is completely made up? That said, I''ve been vocal to friends about how Austin isn''t worth 15m, but as it seems no one has bitten yet I reckon he could be worth at least a go. As soon as a bigger club gets involved in sure he''ll go for the safer option but it doesn''t seem like anyone has bidded big enough yet.
20. I agree 100% and understand his decision to move abroad in loan, I just don''t think Neil would havd sanctioned the move unless he felt that Lafferty wasn''t adding anything to the team.
21. Presumably Alex Neil didn''t think he was very good. We were also hardly struggling for goalscoring strikers last season either. Wouldn''t be surprised to see a mutual termination before the season is over. You don''t loan out a player when you are pushing for promotion unless they''re really quite poor.
22. I believe we''ll get this guy about as much as I believe we''ll get van Dijjk. It''s just not going to happen. That said, he looks absolutely class and I would love to be proven wrong.
23. Trying to keep the ball without being ''possession football'' is just playing football with better passing. No one wants to give the ball away, so it''s just dependant on how the players execute their passes. Not really a game plan?
